What you’ll do

1. Internal communications (~2.5 days per week)

As our Internal Communications and Events Lead, you will play a key role in engaging, informing, and inspiring our team with what’s happening at Unifrog. You’ll also help us to work even better together, and to retain a happy and effective team.

Your main responsibilities:

• Coordinate our whole team commss

  • Deliver our internal comms strategy, work towards our People team goal and objectives, and use our House Style.

  • Create our monthly internal Unifrog newsletter, writing your own segments, editing other people’s contributions, and evaluating engagement.

  • Collate data from team surveys and work with the People and Leadership teams to put ideas from the team into action.

• Improve the way that we communicate and work together:

  • Share best practice and deliver training on our comms tools (e.g. Slack, Gmail, Asana).

  • Research, trial and introduce new comms tools or upgrades where appropriate, training the team on how to use them.

  • Join our AI working group, whose goal is to support the team to use AI more effectively (e.g. leading training, sharing use-cases from across Unifrog).

  • Support teams with communication challenges (e.g. streamlining comms traffic).

  • Support team members to easily find the best contact for different questions and tasks.

• Manage our existing comms tools:

  • Audit our usage and budget to make sure we’re maximising value.

  • Manage individual and team subscriptions to our comms tools.

  • Help to troubleshoot team questions and issues.

• Keep our ‘Unifrog Essentials’ and ‘Who to Contact’ documents up-to-date, and support team leads to keep our Dropbox folders organised.

• Work with our Recruitment Lead and Marketing team to shout externally about what’s going on at Unifrog, sharing photos and stories on our website and social media. 

 

2. Internal events (~2.5 days per week)

Now that Unifrog has 115 team members across the UK and beyond, it’s more important than ever that everyone feels connected, both to each other and to our wider mission. 

We currently have:

1. Three whole company “team days” per year (2x in person, 1x virtual)

2. Two “away days” per team per year (in person)

3. Regular socials at our London office

4. Regular remote socials

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan our whole company team days:

  • Work closely with our CEO and the Leadership team to decide on the team day agenda, budget and format.

  • Find and book venues, hotels, social activities, and meals, and make sure everything’s set up and runs smoothly on the day.

• Support senior managers to plan their away days:

  • Advise on agendas and book venues, socials, and training.

  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration (one of each team’s away days is partly combined with another team).

• Evaluate our team events and continually look to improve their quality, impact, and inclusivity.

• Plan remote socials and office socials for our London HQ.

• Support our Unifrog affinity groups - spaces where team members who share common identities (e.g. being parents), can connect, support each other and champion inclusivity.

• Keep our EDI calendar up-to-date, and mark and celebrate occasions important to people across the team, including cultural heritage months, awareness days, and commemorative events.

 

Working together

You’ll be part of our People team alongside our: People Assistant, People Coordinator Recruitment Lead, People Lead, Head of People Operations, and People and Operations Director (your line manager).

You’ll also regularly work with a variety of other team members (especially line managers) when organising events.

Key details

• £37,000 - £39,000 per year, depending on experience. Grade B.

• Split your time between working remotely and at our office in Hoxton, London (a minimum of 2 days per week). Applicants must be commutable to London and can expense up to £12.50 per day for travel, up to 2 days per week.

The Restart Project helps people transform their relationship with electronics by supporting groups to teach repair at community events, developing fixing spaces and campaigning for a Right to Repair and better waste policy. We are looking for a strong project manager to be our new Fixing Factory Co-Lead.

What is a Fixing Factory? Fixing Factories do what they say on the tin! We help people fix their broken electricals and learn new fixing skills, shifting us from our current take-make-waste linear system towards a repair economy fit for the future. They generate public interest in repair. Through a series of stepping stone activities, we take people from never having looked inside an electrical item towards, if they wish, fixing for others. 

The Fixing Factories is a partnership between The Restart Project and Possible, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. It launched in April 2022 with two initial sites in Brent (now closed) and Camden. After the initial development grant we secured funding to continue the Camden site, and open and mature three additional sites in London, including one which has already opened in Hackney, with a proportion of our focus being on long-term financial self-sustainability and scaling the model across the UK. The Restart Project is leading on the delivery of two sites, one in Hackney and another future London location (4th site), whilst Possible lead on the established Fixing Factory in Camden and an upcoming Haringey site.

Each new Fixing Factory site will grow and nurture a community of repairers, be strongly linked with local residents and stakeholders, and be driven by engaged teams of volunteers. There will be a range of offers; from free community repair events to paid workshops and retail - as we develop a replicable model which will support our long term goal of ‘a Fixing Factory in every high street’. 

About the role

The focus of this role will be overseeing the Hackney Fixing Factory, launching a 4th site (subject to funding), and working with existing repair group communities, the council, and other partners in those areas. You will be bringing to life an already developed business model, ensuring that the Fixing Factories are run in a safe, effective and financially sustainable way, as well as responding to the needs of the community and continuing to strategically develop the Fixing Factories programme.

You will be working with the Fixing Factory workshop managers, who are responsible for day to day operations at the sites, ensuring income generation targets are being met, driving the development of our accredited skills and training programme with support from consultants and ensuring the Fixing Factories are scalable and replicable. 

Key responsibilities

This role involves a combination of strategic development of the overarching Fixing Factories project, on which you’ll work closely with a counterpart at Possible, oversight of the two sites that Restart is responsible for and the workshop managers that manage their day to day operations.

We have an opportunity for a Public Affairs Manager to join our team and help shape and carry out the Royal British Legions public affairs activities in Northern Ireland.

In this newly created role, you will develop and implement RBLs public/external affairs activities in Northern Ireland at both the national and local level. You will advise colleagues on political developments of importance to RBL’s operations in Northern Ireland, manage relationships with external stakeholders and aid in the establishment of a supporter network in Northern Ireland.

Reporting to our Head of Public Affairs and Campaigns, key responsibilities will include:

- Development of a Public Affairs engagement programme for Northern Ireland and manage its day-to-day implementation through a combination of regular events, meetings, briefings, and attendance at conferences, including party conferences
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with key members of the Northern Ireland Assembly, NI MPs and their staff, Veteran’s Champions, as well as Committees and All Party Groups, and other related national stakeholders.
- Lead RBL’s relationships with key local stakeholders and partners, including engagement with local councils, Health & Social Care Trusts, the Housing Executive, NI Veteran’s Commissioner’s Office and NI Veterans’ Welfare Service and other public bodies in Northern Ireland
- Lead on the production of external briefings for Northern Ireland Assembly debates and local council business, as well as internal briefings for colleagues
- Work closely and effectively with colleagues in Campaigns, Policy & Research to ensure RBL is a leading organisation in facilitating evidence-based policy change, through working together to influence policy professionals and decision-makers.

RBLs Campaigns, Policy, and Research (CPR) team raise the profile of issues affecting the Armed Forces community, and work to influence politicians, officials, and the wider sector, to improve policy and service delivery to address these issues. This new role will see you as a key part of this vital team working across the RBL group.

This is a permanent position. You will be contracted to your home address. You will be expected to work both there and on a mobile basis at other locations in Northern Ireland, with occasional travel beyond this area.

ISEAL are looking for someone with expertise in climate change, nature and biodiversity to join a small but growing area of work. This role will contribute to the design and delivery of ISEAL’s scaling strategy to unlock investment and market incentives for smallholders and small-scale producers, grounded in robust climate, biodiversity and nature outcomes data.

The Associate Manager will play a critical role in delivering ISEAL projects in the context of climate, nature and measurement related to delivering value to small scale producers and small and medium enterprises. The role will collaborate closely with ISEAL’s internal programme teams, community members, and technical partners to assess the feasibility, impact potential, and scalability of climate and nature-related innovations developed and tested within the ISEAL community. Developing an understanding of company and investor sustainability objectives, the role will contribute to building confidence in sustainability outcome data and increase willingness to pay or invest in the transition to sustainable land and resource management by producing enterprises.

To be considered, candidates will bring solid knowledge of climate, nature and biodiversity, particularly related to small-scale agricultural producers, and a keen interest to build on this in the context of voluntary sustainability standards. Experienced in convening stakeholders on technical topics, the ideal person will bring strong data analysis skills and an ability to produce communications accessible to different audiences.

• Take a coordinating role in convening ISEAL’s climate and nature community, facilitating learning exchange and collaboration across the ISEAL membership.

Experience, Knowledge and Attributes

• Existing working knowledge of climate, nature and biodiversity and related regulations and trends
• Understanding of corporate sustainability objectives, reporting, metrics and outcome methodologies
• Understanding of the theory and methodology behind GHG accounting, SBTI initiatives and carbon removal methodologies and how use of these translate into practice
• Understanding of the impacts of climate change on primary (particularly small-scale) agricultural production and how producers can adapt to these changes to mitigate these impacts
• Good understanding of international and/or rural development  Proven ability to analyse large sources of information and to identify and summarise the most important points in accessible language
• Experience in facilitating sessions and workshops, working with stakeholders to reach consensus decisions
• Good time management and ability to efficiently organise and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously
•  Able to work independently, including in a remote work environment, and to ask for clarification/direction when needed

Reporting to: | Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the Directors/Fundraising team
Purpose of job: | To work with the Finance and Fundraising teams to provide excellent finance, CRM & other systems administration. This will support income generation, research, data capture and information security throughout the Museum. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, managing and maintaining a CRM database of contacts, supporting other digital systems, and some general administrative duties including IT support.

Are you interested in the role financial, CRM & other digital systems play in how arts organisations and cultural projects are managed? Are you looking to take the next step in your arts finance, administration or fundraising career? 
The Foundling Museum is transforming how digital systems underpin the foundations of this small but mighty Museum and charity. The position of Finance & CRM Administrator sits at the heart of this continued transition, following the successful implementation and migration to Shopify, Xero & Beacon CRM which began in 2023. 
This new role is essential to the success of the Finance & Fundraising teams, in providing effective finance and CRM administration support. The Finance and CRM Administrator will support income generation activities including fundraising and venue hire, as well as playing a vital role in keeping the Museum’s accounting systems working effectively. 
This includes processing all types of financial transactions on Xero and maintaining records on Beacon. You will work as a key part of both teams supporting the Museum’s strategy through the provision of high quality financial & other data, and the maintenance of the underlying systems.

• Representing the Fund by engaging with key stakeholders, including applicants, support agencies, Council staff, and by attending funding fairs and external meetings.
• Sharing learning from your conversations, events, project visits, reports and evaluations to help maximize our impact as a grant maker.

You may come from a voluntary sector background - many of our colleagues do- but we are also very open to transferable skills from other sectors. What matters most is your ability to build relationships, use sound judgement and support communities to thrive.

Essential Criteria:

• Communication skills: Strong listening, written and verbal communication with an emphasis on written communication for assessment purposes.
• Relational skills: Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships at different levels, with colleagues, community organisations and other external agencies with a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to absorb a wide range of information including ability to analyse accounts and numerical data and to make judgement-based decisions with confidence.
• Knowledge of the voluntary and community sector
• Values – Values driven and passionate about the Fund’s purpose, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
• An ability to use your initiative, manage your own workload and work to deadlines and a can-do attitude.
• Demonstrable IT skills and the ability to learn detailed processes quickly and accurately
