As we prepare to launch an ambitious £150 million philanthropic campaign, we are seeking a strategic and driven Prospect Development Manager to lead the delivery of insight-driven prospect management across the Philanthropy and Partnerships Directorate.

You will play a critical role in creating a steady pipeline of new potential supporters for the fundraising teams, as well as helping shape the data and analytics strategy that will measure the impact of our campaign.

You will ensure that business-as-usual activity—such as briefing materials, due diligence, fundraiser portfolio reviews, prospect research, and insight—is delivered to a high standard, with the understanding that over the course of the campaign, these activities will be undertaken primarily in service of the campaign itself, rather than in addition to it

This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and is passionate about understanding and engaging supporters who make transformational change possible.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategy and Planning

· Develop and implement the prospect development strategy to support the successful delivery of a new High Value campaign and long-term income growth.

· Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment between, BAU, campaign goals and supporter engagement strategies.

· Lead on campaign data reporting, impact measurement, and forecasting to inform decision-making across the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships teams.

· Ensure the team are maximising the power of AI within Prospect Development.

· Own the campaign Gift Table and utilise it as a key management tool.

· Lead on the strategic planning, income pipeline modelling, and campaign progress reporting.

· Proactively identify, assess, and manage operational and strategic risks within the team, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations.

Prospect Management and Research

· Lead the identification, qualification, and tracking of new major donor and partner prospects across individual, corporate, and foundation giving.

· Design processes to engage volunteers and donors in identifying their key contacts who might be strong major prospects

· Lead on the design and delivery of regular portfolio reviews for relationship managers, using data and insight to optimise pipelines.

· Produce and manage the delivery of high-quality biographies, briefings, and due diligence for meetings and events.

· Work collaboratively with fundraisers to proactively identify new opportunities and ensure prospects are moved through the pipeline efficiently.

· Work with our Research team on potential and current Research Partners, allowing us to be strategic across all of our high value audiences.

· Maintain and continuously improve prospect tracking systems and data quality.

Campaign Insight and Impact

· Design and oversee reporting mechanisms that track the performance and progress of the campaign.

· Provide regular insight and trend analysis to campaign leadership and fundraising teams.

· Use data and supporter intelligence to shape cultivation and solicitation strategies.

Team Management

· Manage and develop a small, high-performing team (currently two direct reports), setting clear goals, providing coaching, and supporting professional development.

· Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and supporter-centric thinking.

· Ensure a consistent and high-quality service is provided to fundraisers and stakeholders across the organisation.

What we are looking for:

· Proven experience in prospect development, prospect research, or fundraising insight in a philanthropic or partnership-focused environment.

· Strong understanding of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Fundraising.

· Proficient in using CRM systems and prospect research tools.

· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.

· Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce briefings and profiles to a high standard.

· Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and stakeholder-focused approach.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Salary: Circa £44,000 per annum, plus benefits.

The Role

The role of Superstore Manager involves managing the day-to-day operation of the charity’s first superstore including managing a team of 18 employees consisting of the Deputy Superstore Manager, Department Team Leaders, Superstore Assistants and a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures.

You will lead by example and ensure that employees, volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.
 

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Driving Success in Our Charity Superstore

• Leading on visual merchandising and display to create a welcoming and inspiring shopping experience that reflects our brand and values.
• Ensuring efficient stock management and generation, so our shop floor is full of high-quality, desirable items that attract customers.
• Maintaining impeccable shop standards and ensuring the store layout supports both customer engagement and operational efficiency.
• Managing and being accountable for implementing and complying with agreed shop operating policy and standards including Health and Safety and Trading Standards.
• Building relationships and working closely with wider functions across the charity such as Facilities, Marketing, Volunteer, and social media teams to ensure the plans are fulfilled and executed.

Efficient Stock Management

• Oversee effective stockroom systems to ensure smooth processing and redistribution of donations, including identifying high-value or surplus stock for resale through online marketplaces or other Yorkshire Cancer Research stores.
• Conduct regular stocktakes to maintain accountability and efficiency.

Inspiring and developing a passionate team

• Recruiting, developing, and retaining talent, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Conducting regular performance development reviews for paid employees, implementing and supporting personal development and growth.
• Providing necessary training and resources, ensuring the shop is always adequately resourced and prepared to operate seamlessly, even in your absence.

• All shop administration including cash handling and banking functions, ensuring the team work to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures.
• Reviewing weekly sales figures and from these identifying ways to maintain and maximise income, ensuring information is accessible to volunteers so they are kept up to date.
• Working with the Head of Retail and Finance team to set challenging sales budgets and stretch targets that are achievable or exceedable, and drive and motivate your team to achieve and exceed them.

Championing exceptional customer and supporter service

• You’ll create an environment where every supporter and customer feel valued, ensuring:
• Outstanding service across all touchpoints, from the shop floor to the till point, including seamless and secure payment processes.
• Any complaints are managed effectively and efficiently, escalating to Head Office where they cannot be resolved at a local level.

Building Connections and Driving Engagement

• You’ll act as a proactive ambassador for Yorkshire Cancer Research, generating support and income through:
• Engaging with the local community and businesses to secure donations, build partnerships, and promote the charity.
• Maximising the use of community spaces in-store, hosting events that align with our mission while driving additional income and fostering engagement.

Ensuring Compliance and Best Practices

• You’ll uphold the highest standards of compliance, ensuring adherence to Yorkshire Cancer Research policies in:
• Health and safety, safeguarding, and security.
• Administrative procedures and People management policies.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be educated to A Level or equivalent or have experience in a similar role at a similar level.

· To have experience of managing a large and diverse team of people/volunteers including recruitment and development.

· To have previous retail experience in the charity sector.

· To have previous experience with a high-volume Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) retailer is desirable.

· Experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment.

· Experience of opening a new shop is desirable.

· Experience in managing high-volume retail environments.

• Strong organisational and managerial skills with success in previous roles leading teams.

· A commercial mindset with proven profit and loss management.

· To be creative and forward thinking.

· To be to handle challenging situations with confidence and professionalism, finding solutions and maintaining composure under pressure.

· Confidence with technology, being able to adapt to new systems and processes to support the smooth running of Superstore operations.

Job Purpose

Legacies are one of the most vital sources of income for Operation Smile UK, helping us continue our work supporting patients with cleft around the world. We’re now looking for a Legacy Administration Manager to join our dedicated team and ensure that every gift left to the charity is managed with care, professionalism, and in line with the wishes of our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residuary, specific, and reversionary legacy cases from initiation to completion, optimising income while upholding all legal, ethical, and organisational standards.
• Communicate with empathy and professionalism with executors, solicitors, and beneficiaries’ families, including handling enquiries and confirming receipt of legacy notifications.
• Review estate documentation and valuations, determine the charity’s entitlement, and verify that all due funds are correctly received.
• Ensure that all relevant charity tax reliefs are properly applied for, including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax appropriations, and Income Tax (form R185).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legacy income and correspondence within OSUK’s CRM system and Finance Tracker.
• Track the status of ongoing cases, pursue outstanding actions, and take prompt steps to address issues or disputes as they arise.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams—such as Finance, Supporter Care, and Partnerships—to promote strong stewardship and compliance.
• Refer or escalate complex or high-impact matters to the Director of Finance and Senior Finance Manager when necessary.
• Contribute to team meetings, process improvements, and the development of best practice.

Person Specification

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate clearly and sensitively, both in writing and verbally.

· Proven experience in legacy administration within the charity sector or in probate and estate law.

· Highly organised, with the capability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload effectively.

· Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, documentation, and data entry.

· Skilled in interpreting wills, estate accounts, and related legal documents.

· Competent in reviewing estate accounts to verify the correct application of Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and to ensure estates are properly finalised.

· Proficient user of Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

· Review estate accounts, including the allocation of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT), to confirm estates are correctly administered.

· Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (ILM) or legal/paralegal qualification.

As the Volunteering Development Manager you will provide strategic direction and management, and work closely with partners to enable engagement with volunteering and champion the benefits of volunteering and ensure an inclusive approach. Over the last five years we have increased the number of individuals and organisation supporting the charity from 800 to more than 3,500 a year. The charity is set to build on this success and aims to continue this growth, so that we can reach more patients and provide additional support at a time when it is more critical than ever for kidney patients.

The Corporate Partnership Manager will play a key role in this growth. Our Corporate Partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.

Primarily, you will be responsible for building engagement and driving new income via charity of the year partnerships, corporate partnerships, and employee fundraising. You will manage the Corporate Partnership Officer who is developing a growing portfolio of supporters across different sectors. You will also work closely with the Events Manager, Trust & Foundation Manager, Head of Fundraising and Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications as well as the wider Fundraising team to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth.

Alongside the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications who takes a special interest in the charity’s Corporate Partnerships, you will be tasked with planning, implementing, and delivering the activities, programmes and processes required to grow corporate income from c£2.3m in 2025 to even greater levels over the coming years.

You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist via our current partnerships and relationships. A key part of this role will require you to develop new opportunities and secure significant income (5-and-6 figure partnerships) through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.

The right candidate will have a proven record of generating strategic partnerships that result in 5-and 6-figure corporate income, building strong and rewarding relationships, with stewardships skills that generate long term support for the charity. Role Description

The Safeguarding Officer will lead and oversee all aspects of safeguarding within St Edmundsbury Cathedral, ensuring that the Cathedral remains a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the Cathedral meets all statutory safeguarding obligations and complies fully with the Church of England’s national safeguarding policies, diocesan frameworks, and relevant legislation. This includes proactively identifying potential risks, responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns, and ensuring effective reporting and case management in partnership with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team and statutory agencies.

Beyond compliance, this role is about embedding a culture of care, accountability, and transparency across the Cathedral community. You will support clergy, staff, and volunteers to understand their safeguarding responsibilities, ensure safer recruitment and training practices, and provide guidance and reassurance when safeguarding issues arise.

By acting as a source of expert advice, leadership, and advocacy, the Safeguarding Officer will help the Cathedral community uphold the highest standards of safety, dignity, and pastoral care, ensuring that everyone, regardless of age, background, or circumstance, can participate fully and confidently in Cathedral life.

The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer has operational authority within the Cathedral (subject to agreement with the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer with respect to responding to concerns and allegations against Church officers) for the following responsibilities, arranged according to the Church of England’s National Safeguarding Standards.

• Maintain up-to-date records of safeguarding training for all staff and volunteers (showing completion and renewal dates).
• Create accessible safeguarding information and communications for the Cathedral community (e.g., weekly bulletin items, posters, webpages and event briefings) to raise awareness and reinforce good practice.
• Provide tailored briefings for high-risk roles and ongoing advice to managers and supervisors on safeguarding responsibilities.
• To evaluate training to ensure that learnings have been embedded.

Policy & risk management

• Review, update and implement the Cathedral’s safeguarding policies and procedures on a regular schedule (and sooner where guidance or case learning requires change).
• Lead safeguarding risk assessments for services, events, volunteer activities and external bookings; provide straightforward, action-focused mitigation plans for event organisers and hirers.
• Conduct audits and spot-checks to ensure practice aligns with policy and report findings with recommended improvements.
• Ensure contractors, partner organisations and hirers meet required safeguarding standards and that any safeguarding responsibilities are set out contractually where appropriate.

Additional duties and professional development

• Provide clear, timely advice within agreed working hours and support any out-of-hours arrangements for urgent safeguarding concerns as agreed with Chapter.
• Maintain your own professional development through training, supervision and membership of relevant safeguarding networks; ensure learning is shared across the Cathedral.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties that support the effective delivery of safeguarding across the Cathedral.
• Attend the East Anglia Regional Safeguarding Network meeting three times a year, with other DSOs and CSO in the region

Key Relationships

• In the Cathedral, the Dean provides leadership concerning safeguarding, supported by Chapter and senior leadership team requiring good working relationships with both clergy and lay colleagues.
• It is essential that the CSO forms excellent working relationships with key people in the Diocese, including: the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer (DSO), the safeguarding team and other relevant staff; the chair and membership of diocesan safeguarding governance structures e.g., the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) and relevant sub-groups; and the National Safeguarding Team.
• It is essential to have good connections with colleagues in relevant local third sector agencies, including those working in the fields of homelessness, poverty, domestic abuse, mental health, substance misuse, refugee support, language and learning support, etc. Adults and children who are using, have used or may use the services of the cathedral, particularly in relation to safeguarding.

The British Psychological Society (BPS) is seeking a dynamic Project Lead to join the Business Improvement Team. This role will initially focus on delivering key projects within our Education and Training Directorate, contributing to the transformation of psychology qualifications and assessment design.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of allocated projects within the Education & Training area
• Managing project teams and ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting change management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Reporting on progress, risks, and budget to senior stakeholders.

Candidates should be educated to degree level, with strong knowledge of project management frameworks. You must have proven experience in leading complex projects as well as excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.  You should be able to work autonomously as well as within a team, and be able to adapt to changing contexts.  Knowledge or experience within an education, qualification or training environment or an understanding of psychology qualifications and assessment models would be advantageous.
