Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the

gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

This is one role advertised twice to ensure candidates across both hybrid locations can apply. This role is hybrid with candidates happy to work a minimum of one day per week from the London or Hudderfield office welcome to apply. The Hudderfield office address is The Media Centre, 7 Northumberland St, Huddersfield, HD1 1RL. The Fundraising Administrator works from the Huddersfield office, along with the Comms team, Research team and the Services/Helpline team. About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Corporate Partnerships Team. Reporting into the Corporate Partnerships Manger, the post holder will work with the Corporate Partnerships Team to deliver the corporate fundraising strategy.

The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partnerships, stewarding supporters, organising and managing corporate events as well as supporting with content for corporate partner communications.

Key Responsibilities will include:

To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

Income generation.

• Management of your own portfolio of corporate accounts which includes providing outstanding donor stewardship to maximise supporter experience, engagement and funds raised. 
• To work together as a team to grow corporate fundraising income through current partnerships and new business approaches, as agreed with the Head of Corporate Partnerships. 
• Utilise the CRM database to maintain accurate records for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes. 
• Create funding reports for external partners when required. 
• Support and attend third-party corporate events as well as wider charity events. 
• Keep up to date with fundraising trends.

Communication and stewardship

• Work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and Marketing Team to develop a communication plan for corporate accounts. 
• Interact with corporate partners on social media, as well as creating content for platforms such as LinkedIn.
• Create stewardship/development plans for corporate partners. 
• Create and deliver presentations to raise awareness of the work of the Charity.
• Deliver tours of the hospital to supporters autonomously. 

Other Duties

• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation. 
• To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate 
• Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers. Attend and support events run by the fundraising teams where required. 
• Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the charity’s work, priorities and future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate. 
• Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

Tender has grown significantly in recent years. We have secured income from an increasing range of sources: corporates, major donors, trusts & foundations and statutory funders. We have done this with a small but highly effective development team.

With a clear strategic focus for the next five years, we are strengthening our development team to ensure we have the funding needed to achieve our strategic ambitions. We plan to grow both the extent of our reach across the country, and the difference we make to the people we work with. You will play a pivotal role in raising the funding for our ambitions, focusing on statutory and trusts & foundations income streams. You will lead on both these income streams, managing existing funders and securing new funders. You will secure income from your own portfolio of funders and partners, and lead and inspire the team to achieve their own ambitious targets, both through new sources and through excellent stewardship of existing funders.

Role purpose

The main purposes of this role are:

• Researching, identifying and applying for grant funding and commissioning from statutory sources, trusts and foundations (T&F)
• Developing and writing high quality fundraising bids which align with the objectives and needs of statutory funders, T&F and Tender’s strategic objectives
• Managing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with a range of stakeholders (statutory funders, T&F, delivery partners, professionals in the sector, internal stakeholders)
• Developing the Statutory and T&F strategy in collaboration with the Development Director

Main responsibilities and duties

New business development

• Developing and implementing a strategy to develop relationships with, and maximise income from, statutory sources, T&F
• Working with service managers, designing, developing and submitting high-quality funding proposals to statutory sources, T&F which are technically sound, meet donor requirements and align with Tender’s strategic objectives
• Maintaining an up-to-date market awareness of grant-making trends and best practice in T&F fundraising
• Developing the overall statutory and T & F strategy with oversight from the Development Director
• Monitoring and reporting against business development plans to ensure objectives are achieved, and proposing plans for remedial action if projections are not on track

Relationships

• Managing relationships with Statutory sources and T&F funding Tender, building a deep understanding of the needs and requirements of each funder
• Developing and executing stewardship and relationship management plans for T&F to maximise the value and duration of their support for Tender
• Overseeing the production of high-quality monitoring reports for T&F, and using insights from funded programmes to develop case for support materials
• Working with other Tender managers to ensure the consistent tone and positioning of Tender in the implementation of marketing of all projects
• Line managing two Development Officers

Administration

• Working with the Governance team to improve operational effectiveness and quality service by identifying and implementing process improvements
• Contributing to the maintenance of Tender’s overall Development function, providing appropriate analysis and reports
• Developing and maintaining a funding database and ensuring it is up to date to effectively monitor and evaluate the strategy
• Completing all mandatory training, and proactively seek opportunities for ongoing professional development
• Ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, including safeguarding, data protection and equal opportunities
• Working as a member of the Tender team and carrying out other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the organisation

Job Purpose

The Oxbridge Programme Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Explore Oxbridge programme. They will work closely with the Head of Student Opportunities to plan and develop the programme.

The role will involve the management and coordination of a comprehensive package of support for students from Year 9 / S2 upwards. This includes workshops, webinars, day trips and residentials designed to increase student knowledge about studying at selective universities, in particular The University of Oxford and The University of Cambridge.

The role will involve stewardship of various stakeholders, including Oxbridge colleges and IU school partners. The Programme Manager will work closely with the wider Student Opportunities team and IntoUniversity centre teams to ensure students are benefitting from the programme.

Explore Oxbridge

The Explore Oxbridge programme is open to students who are either currently being supported by IntoUniversity centres (typically students aged 14-18 years) or IntoUniversity Student Associates (IU alumni). The programme offered to students will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Personal statement support
• Mock interview practice
• Student life workshops and webinars
• Subject choice advice
• Research project support
• Subject taster sessions
• Open days and residentials

Eligibility for the role

In order to be eligible for the role, applicants will:

• Have completed an undergraduate degree to a 2.2 or higher.
• Have achieved a grade C or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Have EITHER a minimum of 18 months full-time paid experience working in a delivery role at IntoUniversity; OR a minimum of 2 years full-time paid or voluntary experience working with children and young people, either at IntoUniversity, or external organisations, or a combination of both. Please note that we will not take part-time, seasonal or ad-hoc work into account when calculating the length of full-time experience.
• Have the right to work in the UK (please note that as a charity we do not have the capacity to sponsor work visas).
• Be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Oxbridge application and admissions process and how to translate this into engaging, differentiated and age-appropriate materials, programmes and content.
• Be able to apply knowledge of H.E. and the Oxbridge college system, to help young people decide about their futures; and have knowledge of national developments in H.E. and their impact on young people traditionally underrepresented in H.E.
• Have experience of confidently liaising with a variety of stakeholders, for example: head teachers, funders, universities

About This Job

This is an exciting role in Army Cadet Headquarters which provides administrative support to the functional delivery areas of the syllabus. We are looking for a person to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team and support administration across both our volunteer staff and employed workforce.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

This is one role advertised twice to ensure candidates across both hybrid locations can apply. This role is hybrid with candidates happy to work a minimum of one day per week from the London or Hudderfield office welcome to apply. The London office address is 2 St Andrews Place, London. The Senior Fundraising Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager and the Community and Events Manager work hybrid from the London office at St Andrews Place, with the Fundraising Administrator working from the Huddersfield office.
