Bexley Deaf Centre (BDC) is a small and dynamic, well-established charity which has been serving the borough since 1994. Our work is focussed exclusively on supporting people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. We work to raise awareness, break down barriers and promote understanding within the community.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation; we are about to launch an ambitious new 5-year strategy and are actively expanding and developing the support and services that we provide. 

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager who can spearhead our fundraising initiatives, lead the development of new projects and support organisational change to facilitate the growth of our services.

You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation to maximise the positive impact that we have on our client’s lives.  Starting with a strong foundation to build upon, you will lead on fundraising activities and service development to support our exciting new strategy.

The role will include:

· Develop and implement fundraising strategies to enable us to diversify our funding and become more sustainable

· Identify and evaluate opportunities for new projects, leading on the development of proposals, timelines and budgets

· Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify areas for growth and increasing capacity

· Support the growth of the organisation and change required to deliver our fundraising strategy 

Experience of working with Deaf people or knowledge of the Deaf community would be an advantage but not essential.

​The Role

​Corporate partnerships provide a vital source of income at Greenhouse Sports. The priority for the Corporate Partnerships Team is to further grow income, with an ambitious target of £1.1 million in 2025/26 - a 30% increase on the previous year.

​The Corporate Development Manager will play a critical role in realising this new income, whilst diversifying the pipeline and strengthening existing relationships through superior cultivation and stewardship.

The Person

​The Corporate Development Manager will play a vital role in the continued growth and development of corporate income, with the majority of their time dedicated to sourcing new business.

​The key responsibilities of the role include:​

• Identifying and qualifying new partnership leads that demonstrate clear value alignment with Greenhouse Sports, building a substantial pipeline that you will own and drive forward.
• Planning, developing and delivering cultivation journeys for strong leads to secure five- and six- figure corporate partnerships.
• Leading on meetings with new business prospects.
• Designing and creating partnership proposals, presentations and/ or pitches for potential new partners.
• Leading on the renewal of existing five- and six- figure partnerships, developing clear stewardship plans that strengthen relationships and maximise opportunities for growth.
• Working collaboratively with internal teams across the organisation.
• Excelling at use of our CRM (Beacon) and ensuring it’s kept up-to-date.

What the job involves

Prostate Cancer UK offers a range of services to support men affected by prostate cancer and their loved ones. These include a multi-channel helpline, printed and online health information, 1:1 peer support and an online community.

We’re looking for a Support Services Innovation Manager to join us in an exciting new role, focused on growing the services’ reach, personalisation and variety, and helping them respond to key challenges. These include rising prostate cancer rates, more complex care pathways and treatments, shifting expectations around healthcare, and rapid changes in online behaviour due to evolving consumer-facing AI technology.

We’re also in the process of developing an ambitious new 10-year strategy for the charity, and you’ll play a key role in setting the terms for how we approach service development across this horizon. You'll carry out a discovery phase to explore the internal and external factors shaping our services, followed by a summary report with recommendations for innovation. Drawing on these insights, you’ll deliver and evaluate innovation use cases, ranging from MVPs to ready-to-implement solutions.

Alongside specific deliverables, you'll play a broader role across the Support Services team, spotting opportunities for innovation across service delivery, supporting business case development, and helping build our capability to evaluate service impact. You’ll use data to shape recommendations, foster an innovation mindset, and support colleagues to experiment, test and learn. You’ll also strengthen collaboration with the Technology team, help shape our long-term innovation approach, and ensure our work is informed by sector insights and shared effectively across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you’ll bring hands-on experience in service innovation and design, with a solid understanding of co-production and co-design principles. You’ll be familiar with navigating both agile and waterfall approaches to project delivery.

You’ll know how to use data to tell compelling stories, demonstrate impact, and uncover opportunities, and you’ll be able to clearly communicate the value of innovation to a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll also be skilled at coaching and training colleagues to adopt innovation processes and mindsets.

A confident self-starter, you’ll work independently to a high standard and manage your time effectively across both short- and long-term priorities. An understanding of service delivery in a healthcare context is essential, along with the ability to think strategically and ensure innovation aligns with the bigger picture.

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of young women in care aged 13 – 17?

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our children’s home, supporting young people aged 13 – 17. This is a leadership role, but we are also very happy to consider experienced Senior Practitioners or Keyworkers with supervisory experience who are ready to step into management.

You will lead and inspire a team of Practitioners, ensuring care is always unconditional, trauma-informed, compassionate, and high quality. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted Quality Standards, while promoting a culture of love, kindness, authenticity, and professional integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of staff, promoting a supportive and reflective culture
• Ensure practice is trauma-informed, nurturing, and responsive to young people’s needs
• Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and performance management
• Contribute to care planning, risk management, and multi-agency working
• Uphold professional boundaries while modelling high standards of practice
• Lead on group and individual activities to support young people’s emotional, social, and educational development

Job Title: People and Culture Business Partner - Organisational Change 

Location: Based in our Central office in Islington, around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station. You will also be able to work from home and will be required to make regular visits to our services. Please note that step free access is not available at our central office and some of our other services.

Salary: £44,000

Shift Pattern: Fixed Term contract approximately 8 months, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. You may also be required to work evenings and outside these hours to provide flexibility to our night run services. 

About the role

We're seeking an all rounded generalist to join our People and Culture team to support specifically in around areas of organisational change, mainly in relation to managing mobilisations, TUPE, staff consultations and growth. You will use your previous experience in these areas to manage the process of organisational change, working alongside the wider P&C team and managers across the organisation. Some key responsibilities in this role includes:

• Provide high quality support, leadership and guidance to managers and staff for change projects from start to finish.
• Support with matters of employee relations, escalations, and cross specialist areas.
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders to successfully deliver legally compliant, compassionate, and robust organisational change processes.
• Maintain effective project management resources and timelines.
• Ensure all staff have access to meaningful and accessible employment advice and access to appropriate information, documents, and other resources.
• Ensure all employee life cycle administration, advice, and support is completed and provided to standards.
• Partner with relevant managers and project leads to understand resourcing needs, then support to deliver end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to fulfil staffing needs.

About you

We are looking for someone who has experience in coaching and advising managers and colleagues with legal and internal obligations in relation to HR, you would have proven experience in a similar role at a similar level with responsibilities to this position. You will be a team player, confident in your skills and ability, and able to build rapport with others. Confidentiality will be at the core of what you do, and you will be able to take an objective standpoint to provide the correct advise to others. You will have: 

• Experience in managing mobilisations, TUE, de-mobilisations, redundancy consultations, change consultation, and project management
• Working knowledge and understanding of HR procedures and basic employment law practices, and how it applies under UK employment legislation
• Experience in coaching and advising managers in employee relations activities across the full lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, required learning packages and general ER case work
• Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including relationship building
• Attention to detail and quality, with organisation skills
• Proactive nature, ability to make commercially and value-driven balanced decisions, including the use of data to make decisions and reports
