Role Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a leading UK healthcare charity who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Fundraiser to join their Public Fundraising and Engagement team on a temporary basis.
This short-term position is ideal for a high-performing individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for community engagement and income generation. This role is critical in maintaining and growing community income streams, managing key supporter relationships, and contributing to the charity’s ambitious fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and line manage a team of fundraising professionals, including performance reviews, one-to-ones, and personal development planning.
- Drive community fundraising activity by identifying, developing, and supporting new initiatives and opportunities.
- Represent the charity at local and networking events, giving presentations and talks to raise awareness and build relationships.
- Deliver high-quality stewardship to build long-term supporter engagement and maximise income potential.
- Proactively identify and cultivate new audiences and community prospects.
- Contribute to budgeting, monthly income reporting, and forecasting with the senior fundraising leadership.
- Monitor performance against agreed objectives and KPIs.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations, including Fundraising Regulator guidance and GDPR.
- Maintain accurate supporter records and ensure best practice use of the fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge NXT or equivalent).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Communications, Major Gifts, Finance, and Data to optimise supporter experience.
- Attend fundraising events as required, which may occasionally involve evening or weekend work (TOIL provided).
- Process donations in accordance with internal financial procedures.
- Act as an ambassador for the team in internal and external meetings.
- Identify efficiencies and contribute to value for money in the delivery of community fundraising plans.
- Undertake other duties in line with the scope and level of the role as required.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a fundraising or income-generating role.
- Proven track record of securing and stewarding community fundraising income.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders.
- Confident, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable handling sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Understanding of fundraising regulations and data protection compliance.
- Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and income reporting.
- Previous line management experience.
- Experience using fundraising databases, particularly Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Background in volunteer management or working with community groups.
- Awareness of healthcare or NHS environments and issues.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.
We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in London. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

1. Partnership Development:

2. Partnership Management:
* Develop and implement partnership strategies that drive financial, in-kind and employee support (e.g. through challenge/community fundraising events) in support of Look Ahead's work
* Build, steward and nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key corporate stakeholders, through a stewardship approach
* Lead the management of existing corporate partnerships, ensuring clear communication, tracking of deliverables, and maintaining a positive relationship with all stakeholders.

We are delighted to be working with the charity to recruit a permanent Financial Controller to join its established team based in conveniently located offices in Central London.
The role:
Reporting directly to the COO, the Financial Controller will ensure the provision of consistent, robust financial advice to the charity as a whole. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance and financial operations, ensuring these are compliant with statutory requirements and appropriate and effective financial controls are in place. They will also maintain a financial planning framework that will facilitate the delivery of the charity's financial strategy. This person will also manage all external relationships with banks, financial institutions, property Investors and auditors wherever Finance is the main issue being dealt with. This person will also oversee all Grants related financial transactions in close collaboration with the Grants department.
The person:
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and will be able to provide excellent financial management and reporting for the Charity. They will be confident working with different internal stakeholders and external professional advisors and will be capable of considering their different requirements and priorities in a knowledgeable way. This person will have excellent attention to detail and will be highly organised and a strong communicator across a wide range of audiences. Educated to Degree level or the equivalent (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA), this person will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication and will be up to date on all MS Office packages and financial software including SAGE being essential.
Candidates with prior experience of working with endowed Trusts, Foundations or Charities or who have worked in Charities that have income derived from a permanent endowment (either partially or totally), will be of particular interest, so please draw attention to this when applying.
This person will have demonstrated substantial financial management experience at a senior level in the Charity or Not-for-Profit sectors, with extensive knowledge of UK Charity Accounting Standards (SORP, Charity Commission compliance and VAT). Also experienced in strategic financial planning, preparing complex financial statements, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, and have good knowledge of financial planning in a Funder or Grant-Maker setting. As our income is generated from our endowment which consists of both significant property holdings and financial investments a substantial experience of managing income and cashflow from property and investments is essential.

About the Program
The Europe Regional Finance program has evolved out of our Financial Regulation and Policy Program that began in 2019 with a narrow focus on European central banks. Since then, we've expanded to shape financial regulation and policy globally to accelerate clean energy and create lasting systemic change in how public finance addresses climate challenges. Now the Europe Regional Finance program will focus on EU Policy and Finance and UK Policy and Finance.
About The Role
The purpose of this role is to contribute to achieving the objectives in the EU Financial Policy and Regulation project, specifically the work on public finance, fiscal policy and industrial strategy. Together with partners and allies, this role will help stop the political polarisation of net zero and contribute to building the broader case for public investment by establishing and propagating a narrative linking the opportunities of the clean energy transition with improving conditions for households and communities. This role sees the big picture and can translate it into actionable plans for maximum impact.
We support networks of organisations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organisations.
About You
You have experience working on public finance, fiscal policy, or industrial strategy. You understand what it takes to hold the big picture, and translate complicated campaign strategies into actionable steps. You enjoy digging into the policy details, but are able to focus on the key ways to move the campaign forward for maximum impact. You’re able to work with diverse networks of organisations from trade unions to business leaders. Payroll

How Will You Make a Difference?
Amna is seeking a compassionate and experienced Arabic speaking facilitator to join Amna’s team of trainers, with therapeutic/clinical background. As a Trainer & Facilitator your responsibilities will involve delivering training sessions and group facilitation to support and create learning spaces for training participants on themes centred around trauma and identity informed psychosocial healing care with displaced communities. The role holder is expected to work on multiple responses, and will lead Amna’s Gaza and Syria responses, while working closely with Arabic speaking team members.
Amna’s identity and trauma informed approach is centred around community healing practices with communities that aim to restore participants sense of safety, belonging, agency and joy. Amna services are co-created with the communities being worked with and we prioritise refugee participation and leadership in service design and delivery wherever possible.
The role holders need to have experience working with communities affected by adversity, including displacement, war and conflict, poverty, abuse or marginalisation. Given the nature of Amna’s work in emergency settings with displaced communities, applicants need to be comfortable working in environments where there is uncertainty, change and exposure to distress.

Working closely with the Head of Development, you will play a key role in delivering our Major Donor programmes across the UK and US. This includes coordinating stewardship activities for Major Donors and high-profile supporters, as well as assisting in the planning and execution of an exciting events programme – including a high-end art auction planned for the autumn.
With support from the Head of Development and the Deputy Director, Legal & Governance, you will also contribute to securing new corporate partnerships, and take the lead in preparing accurate and compelling applications, reports, and communications for corporate partners and Trusts & Foundations.

Length and Salary
This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.
This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.
Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our team works in-person 4 days per week (or 3 days for a 0.8 FTE staff member) with 1 day working from home.

Salary:
£30,000 (for candidates with no/ limited fundraising experience) up to £32,400 (for a more experienced candidate)
Annual Leave:
