The role will sit in the Chief Social Worker’s directorate alongside our admissions and support, curriculum and delivery teams. These teams achieve our mission through assessing participants eligibility and suitability, ensuring they are registered with our university partner in a timely way and by designing and delivering world class social work education and training.
The EDI Lead is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programmes, and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organisation. This role involves collaborating across teams and functions to ensure that EDI principles are integrated into all aspects of the work. They are responsible for fostering a culture of inclusion, holding people to account through knowledge and skills and create a brave space for challenging conversations.
We are seeking a passionate and strategic leader with a deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. You will have a proven track record of driving impactful EDI initiatives across the charity, private, or public sectors, with the ability to influence and inspire others through your actions and behaviours. With strong emotional intelligence, you will understand the specific challenges faced by minoritised groups and be confident in holding challenging conversations to drive meaningful change.
The successful candidate will be a confident and influential leader who champions equity, diversity, and inclusion. Skilled in fostering accountability and inclusion, you will create a brave space for meaningful conversations while holding a clear line on EDI expectations.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Being a lead facilitator for reflexive spaces for colleagues running community spaces
- Providing outreach support for minoritised participants as needed
- Contributing to the review and design of our programmes in relation to EDI content
- Reviewing and consultation on all aspects of recruitment and admissions processes to ensure fairness and reduction in bias
- To be the lead anti discrimination advocate (ADAs) and facilitate regular group meetings to check in with the other ADAs

This role is an opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Milton Keynes NHS mental health service for someone with experience working in health, social care or information and advice, in direct contact with service users.
Working alongside colleagues from Central Northwest London Foundation Trust (CNWL) this role will provide referral management to and from Secondary Services. This will include signposting patients to statutory services including talking therapies and wider community based & voluntary sector support.
The Community Navigator will work as part of the team to deliver on the aims and objectives of the Mental Health Hub whilst representing the Voluntary and Community sector with the NHS.
Service Delivery
- Work within the NHS Mental Health SPA (Single Point of Access) Team to review and process referrals received from GP Practices and other sources including those to be subsequently triaged and assessed by mental health practitioners.
- Actively call patients with a view to assisting them through the process and making their onward appointments into community or secondary care service providers.
- Support the hub to signpost patients and direct them to appropriate services including secondary care, the local Voluntary and Community sector services and activities that support the patients’ wider determinates of their mental health and wellbeing.
- Answer calls, ensure sufficient phone cover, respond to messages/voicemails, provide administrative support to the Mental Health SPA for all services and deal with queries in a sensitive and timely way liaising with clinical or team lead as is appropriate.
- Monitor service inboxes during core office hours, responding to any queries professionally providing helpful information.
- Monitor and action tasks within SystmOne and maintain records of all activities carried out, i.e. outbound calls, calls received, archiving any received correspondence.
- Build good working relationships with the voluntary and community sector, relevant services and activities to ensure signposting pathways are kept up to date as well navigating and developing the setup of new signposting pathways through networking.
- Provide clinical and non-clinical information in appropriate chronological templates to other services.
- Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by Managers in line with Mind BLMK’s H&S policies, procedures, and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises).
- To bring VCSE experience, knowledge and culture into an NHS team.

Hope for Justice is working in partnership with the British Red Cross, The Snowdrop Project, St Mary’s University & SOHTIS to pilot the Independent Modern Slavery Advocate® (IMSA) model across the UK. The aim of the IMSA® model is to ensure that all survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking have access to an accredited independent advocate.
Hope for Justice will lead the central IMSA® Model Hub throughout the pilot, working to support IMSAs and their employing organisations throughout the UK. This role will form part of the central hub team, delivering an Advocacy Advice and Intervention Service for professionals and survivors across the UK.
The IMSA® Advocacy Advice Service offers specialist, tailored advice and signposting for modern slavery support throughout the UK. The service can be accessed by survivors and professionals. The IMSA® Advocacy Intervention Service offers short-term, issue specific advocacy for survivors to overcome barriers.
As an Advice and Intervention IMSA®, you will support the delivery of the Advocacy Advice and Intervention Service through providing specialist, tailored advice and signposting and independent advocacy to a small caseload of survivors. The role will also be vital to responding to all enquiries into the IMSA® model pilot via the central hub and assessing the level of service required (i.e. advice, intervention or referral to an IMSA® for long-term independent advocacy).
Key Result Areas:
·Provide expert advice and advocacy as part of the IMSA® Model Hub Advocacy Advice Service, fulfilling Tier 1 (advice) and Tier 2 (advocacy intervention) of the IMSA model
·All incoming advice enquiries and survivor referrals are triaged and processed effectively
·Survivors receive best practice independent advocacy and understand their socio-legal rights and entitlements, working together with the Advice & Intervention IMSA® to overcome barriers and find pathways forward
·The advocacy advice service is an expert resource for the IMSA Model Hub, contributing to research, strategy development, MEAL, and training needs
As an Advice and Intervention IMSA® you will be an integral part of the delivery of the IMSA® model pilot, a unique and exciting opportunity to demonstrate the crucial importance of independent advocacy for survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking.
This is a UK-based role within our UK Advocacy Team and a fixed term contract for 41 months.
Requirements
·Support the delivery of the IMSA Model Hub through the advocacy advice service
·Respond and appropriately triage enquiries into IMSA Model Hub advocacy advice service
·Provide tailored, specialist advice, advocacy and signposting in response to enquiries in a timely and efficient manner (Tier 1 of the IMSA model)
·Manage a small caseload of clients to provide advocacy intervention, working together to overcome barriers and develop pathways forward (Tier 2 of the IMSA model).
·Identify appropriate new referrals for IMSAs within the IMSA model pilot and/or the HfJ IMSA team (Tier 3 of Hope for Justice IMSA model).
·Contribute to the delivery of the IMSA model advocacy advice service ensuring that:
Survivors know and understand their rights and entitlements in their own language
- Trauma-informed ways of working are applied
- Survivors’ needs are assessed, potential barriers are overcome, and clear pathways of support are identified in accordance with the Slavery and Trafficking Survivor Care Standards 2018
- Survivors are supported to access relevant legal and support agencies and systems
·Support the Advocacy Advice Coordinator with the delivery and implementation of structures, processes, and best practice for the advice service, including contributing to funding, finance, and MEAL systems
·Support the Advocacy Advice Coordinator and MEAL Manager to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the IMSA model advocacy advice service to internal and external stakeholders
·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and policy in relation to modern slavery and report on the impact of these changes on survivor outcomes
·Adopt reflective practice approaches, identifying areas for improvement and seeking continued professional development opportunities
·Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately and in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, and practice
·Support the Advocacy Advice Coordinator in the development and delivery of capacity strengthening information sessions for internal and external stakeholders
·Establish good working relationships with key agencies and services within the sector to develop strong advice pathways and partnerships
·Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management notes, ensuring that data protection and information sharing policies are upheld
·Work collaboratively across the IMSA Model Hub and wider network of IMSAs to support best practice

As our new Legacy Officer, you will be at the heart of some of the most meaningful relationships we build—supporting individuals who want to leave a lasting gift for nature through their Will or in memory of a loved one.
You’ll lead on the marketing of legacies and will work with the Director of Fundraising & Communications to nurture relationships with legacy pledgers.
You’ll be the friendly, compassionate point of contact for legacy enquiries, nurturing conversations with care and confidence. From heartfelt one-to-one conversations to the delivery of inspiring and thoughtful events and tailored communications, you’ll help our supporters feel valued and inspired, knowing their gifts will make a difference for wildlife in Cheshire.
You’ll also work closely with solicitors, executors, and our team to ensure every gift is administered with professionalism and respect.

The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare professions/health related professional to join our existing team of Wellbeing Consultants embedded within established UK GenesisCare cancer treatment centres.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with patients, relatives, GenesisCare staff team and Wellbeing consultant team and the wider Penny Brohn UK organization. We are looking for a professional who can work in a flexible, proactive, intelligent, and creative way. Candidates should have experience of working within private or national health related services and have knowledge, experience/understanding of complementary therapies or other support services.
Key role considerations
- This role will involve working alongside our partner GenesisCare to ensure a holistic approach is taken in aspects of support and treatment.
- The bulk of the patient work is delivery of one-to-one sessions – completing holistic needs assessments, review appointments, evidence-based lifestyle consultations, mindfulness, and relaxation sessions.
- The Wellbeing Consultant is responsible for ensuring that patients and their relatives have a positive experience as they move through the Penny Brohn UK treatment support services at GenesisCare.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fund as we expand the UK Portfolio to meet our ambitions in delivering the strategy. We're looking for two people to join the UK Portfolio Team as Heads of Funding, leading a team of just under 40.
The UK Portfolio supports the ambitions and potential of communities across the UK.We focus on scaling projects with a UK-wide benefit, through significant investments, which enable systems-level change for communities. Our funding is intended to complement the work of other country portfolios: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
As one of four Heads of Funding in UK Portfolio you will oversee all aspects of our work and ensure the team is resourced and able to deliver operationally. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring our programmes are designed and delivered to the scope, standard and deadlines required and will lead on specific strategic areas and relationships inside and outside the Fund. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring an understanding of the external policy, practice and funding context from across the UK is reflected in our delivery. You will provide leadership for the team, supporting the work of the Portfolio Managers.
We are currently evolving our UK Portfolio funding offers and programmes in response to the strategy, developing a partnerships offer, and how we are more than a funder through our support to communities across the UK.
All Heads of will lead on a combination of strategic and operational priorities and the roles will involve a variety of responsibilities including:
- Overseeing up to £50m of grant commitments each year ensuring compliance with our operational and governance policies and requirements
- Lead one of the community-led missions in relation to the UK Portfolio’s funding offer
- Lead the strategic development and direction of a combination of our funding programmes and partnership approach
- Responsible for stakeholder management, both internally and externally
- Ensure learning and impact of our work is shared appropriately and informs our practice
- Lead engagement with our decision making Panels, Committees and Board
- Team leadership including culture, resource planning and team development
- Fund wide leadership either relating to one of the missions or as part of cross Fund priorities
You will need to work closely with the other Heads of Funding and each day will be a blend of operational and strategic work, stakeholder engagement, team leadership with lots of opportunities to collaborate with others across the Fund.
We are looking for ambitious, creative and passionate people with experience of the funding environment and brokering partnerships. Excellent leadership and collaboration skills will be essential in building relationships at all levels, from senior management to external stakeholders and funding colleagues across the Fund. You’ll have a keen understanding of the nuances of working within a public body, and a deep commitment to ensuring we are delivering impact through our current funding portfolio whilst also looking to the future and developing new funding initiatives and ways of working to meet our 2030 vision.

We are currently recruiting for a Therapeutic Counsellor to join our Charity to oversee the delivery of a trauma informed, person-centred face to face and online/virtual counselling and support service to women experiencing pregnancy, pregnancy loss or challenges with motherhood, in the prison environment and on release.

- Keeping concise and up-to-date client records
