This role will require you to support the delivery of projects and programmes of work identified in the Cefn Golau Driving Change Plan working with the Building Communities Trust Invest Local Officer, Cefn Golau Together, residents, volunteers, groups, stakeholders and partners. The role will be to manage and develop a community venue with the aim of sustaining community activities and services beyond the Invest Local funding. You will also work with partner organisations to address any gaps in provision identified with the local community.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Black Health Equity Engagement Officer to join our Black Health Equity and Engagement team. The team plays a key role in supporting our community engagement work by building trust and strengthening relationships with Black community organisations and leaders across the UK. The aim is to raise awareness of prostate cancer risk within Black communities and help reduce the health inequalities experienced by Black men.

As a Black Health Equity Engagement Officer, you’ll be providing the logistical support to Prostate Cancer UK’s Black Men’s Advisory Group - who provide insights, support and guidance to the charity to help us address Black health equity. You’ll attend a wide range of community events and identify ways to spread awareness and build trusting relationships with groups, organisations and networks.

By building an understanding of the ways which health inequalities impact Black men affected by prostate cancer (and their families) you’ll establish effective and efficient working practices and gather data capturing the impact of this work.

You’ll get to meet a wide range of supporters and work with Black communities to ensure their lived experiences shape our work and help to increase our number of Black volunteers to increase awareness. You’ll also get to work with different teams across the charity and act as a source of knowledge for our work in tackling health inequalities. 

What we want from you

We’re looking for candidates who understand health inequalities and is able to explain how they may impact Black men affected by prostate cancer. Knowledge of, or previous involvement in health awareness initiatives would be beneficial for this role, although we also value transferable skills gained from other sectors.

You’ll have experience in organising meetings or events that cater to a diverse range of participants, ensuring that various perspectives are heard and valued, especially within Black communities. 

You’ll have a proven ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with a wide array of stakeholders. Furthermore, you’ll be a great communicator, especially when engaging with community stakeholders.

Please note that community events often take place on evenings or weekends – the successful candidate will need to work flexibly to attend roughly one weekend event a month and take time back mid-week. Community awareness events will take place in the Midlands and London.

Richmond AID have 3 main advice teams: Information Navigation, Benefits Advice and Money Advice. We also administer a number of grants on behalf of local grant giving charities and the local authority. Our teams are busier than ever and this role will play a vital part in supporting the team with administration tasks including; taking client enquiries from the phone, website and email and uploading them to our database, scanning and photocopying.

You will spend your time working directly with clients with a range of physical, sensory and mental health impairments to help them to fill in grant allocation forms and other forms and helping people to know their rights. You will also support our advice teams administratively; arranging appointments, sending emails and letters and uploading information to our database.

You will receive training in a range of advice areas (housing, health and social care, benefits, transport and travel) as well as other relevant topics such as various mental health conditions, managing challenging behaviour, professional boundaries, and case management. You will be supported by a friendly team of experienced advisers who will have the opportunity to shadow and you will also have access to a range of external training and development opportunities.

You will need to have clear written and oral communication skills as you will need to make phone calls and write emails and letters to clients as well as providing progress updates to the team.

With a focus on Northern Ireland, you'll lead regional initiatives, tailoring them to local needs and supporting teachers through workshops and online sessions. What we are looking for:

• A degree in science, preferably in the chemical sciences, or an equivalent qualification, together with evidence of working with schools, ideally with a teaching qualification.
• An understanding of school level, further and higher education and a breadth of knowledge of the education systems in the UK and Ireland together with a deep knowledge of the local curricula.
• Experience of stakeholder relationship management and an understanding of customer requirements, including those of: school teachers; FE teachers, HE academics and support staff; careers advisors; employers; governments and its agencies, and non-government bodies.

About the role This is an exciting time to join CPRE Hertfordshire as we look to initiate our work across the county protecting and restoring the county’s hedgerows. You will be the lead in this ambition to plant over 2km of hedgerow in Hertfordshire.

It is a big project funded by a CPRE corporate sponsor, but the Hedgerow Heroes Project Officer (HHPO) will have excellent allies and advice every step of the way.

Knowledge and experience in conservation would be an advantage, but the main attributes which this person will bring to the role will be top quality organisation and communication skills.

CPRE Hertfordshire will be working alongside another environmental group who will offer guidance and support on choosing hedgerow plants for planting. This role requires working with volunteers to support with hedgerow planting.

The person in this role will be expected to reach out to bring all the networks and ambition together for the hedgerow planting experience.

Good communication will be key at every stage – with the partners, the participants, the landowners and the funder.

Key responsibilities include:

Communications and Project Management

• Develop a database of volunteers, partnerships and stakeholders to recruit for the planting of 2km of hedgerows.

• Develop criteria for planting locations for the hedgerows and engage landowners in identifying / agreeing sections of hedgerow for planting.

• Use these criteria to develop a best practice guide for hedge planting and after-care, to support landowners, community groups and others in maintaining their newly planted hedgerows.

• Communicate with wider supporters/stakeholders such as schools, colleges, parish councils and community groups with an invitation to plant hedgerows.

• Contribute to the production of a detailed publicity programme aimed at publicising the Hedgerow Heroes project, recruiting support, securing additional plants, acknowledging partners and the funder.

• Timetable and map the days where hedgerows will be planted and/or restored.

They will also use produce cashflow forecasts and scenarios using the Xero integration with Syft that Selce has implemented. They will also play a role in HR processes reviewing timesheets monthly and ensuring contracts are amended as staff roles evolve. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health and sustainability of our organisation.

Financial Reporting:

· Review financial data and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.

The National Youth Arts Trust (NYAT) is a small performing arts charity that exists to widen access to the performing arts for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds - through giving bursaries for music, dance, and drama lessons, running youth theatre projects, and taking children to the theatre, often for the first time.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual, who is a confident fundraiser to help scale up our work nationwide, support in the day-to-day management of the Trust, and assist in fulfilling the trustee’s strategic plans for 2025 and beyond. It is an essential role for this charity and offers a unique opportunity to be involved and have influence on a growing arts organisation with a strong board, a fantastic patron list and national ambitions.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, who would like to build on their fundraising and management experience in the third sector and arts industry and is passionate about equal opportunity in the performing arts.

We are looking for a creative thinker, who takes initiative, is self-motivated and is looking for a varied role within a small but ambitious charity.

Purpose of the Job

· Supporting the day-to-day management of the Trust, with a particular focus on fundraising and event organisation for current and future projects.

· Working with the Board of Trustees to ensure the National Youth Arts Trust achieves its vision and charitable objectives, creating and implementing the strategy for NYAT and ensuring operating policies and procedures are fit for purpose and regularly reviewed.

Principal Tasks

Principal Tasks:
Lead fundraising strategy, write funding bids, and build donor relationships. Manage communications, stakeholder care, and project delivery. Support recruitment, planning, and marketing. Maintain donor databases and ensure strong supporter engagement. Drive new creative initiatives, track budgets and impact, and report regularly to the Board.

We are looking for a Senior Programmes Support (Maternity Cover) to join a talented team, passionate about working towards Action Against Hunger’s vision of a world free from hunger.

This is a key role that works across the Advocacy and Nutrition Departments. You’ll be providing financial, administrative and coordination support to the Programme Funding Team and Nutrition Department. You’ll support business development, identify funding opportunities, track our finances, monitor grant/contracts, and spot areas for improvement in all we do – with the independence to make those changes.You’ll also engage with other teams within Action Against Hunger UK (e.g. finance), Action Against Hunger’s International teams (country level, HQs) as well as other humanitarian organisations and agencies (e.g. UNICEF, WHO) as relevant.

Accreditation Officer

The Society is a registered charity and is administered by an elected Trustee Board and Advisory Council. Membership is open to everyone associated with echocardiography, including cardiac physiologists, clinical scientists, cardiologists, anaesthetists and intensivists, and currently stands at over 5,500 members.

BSE accreditation is a formal process available to our members, designed to ensure that high standards of clinical echocardiography are met and maintained for the benefit of patients. The BSE Accreditation process is recognised as world-leading, and it is essential that the highest standards are set and upheld by the Accreditation Department. The BSE Accreditation Officer, collaborating closely with the Accreditation team, is responsible for managing all administrative procedures related to the BSE accreditation. 

The Accreditation Officer will act as the main contact for all BSE Accreditation-related matters and will collaborate with the BSE Accreditation Manager, Accreditation and Operations Coordinator, Accreditation Chairs, the Committee, and office staff to ensure consistency and high standards of work.

The post holder will be responsible for the effective management of BSE personal accreditation, with specific duties for organising and delivering practical assessments. The assessments take place on weekends and across the United Kingdom. The post holder will work closely with the Accreditation and Operations Coordinator and the Accreditation Manager to carry out various accreditation projects. 

Delivering to a high standard, they will possess strong organisational skills and be adept at multitasking. The ability to prioritise their workload effectively and respond to challenging situations professionally and promptly is essential for success in this role.

The Role

As Global Head of Finance, you will lead a small, dedicated international team, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across UK and US entities.

You’ll play a key role on the Fund’s management team, ensuring financial integrity, promoting sustainable growth, and partnering across functions to embed strong financial practices organisation-wide.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to guide long-term financial direction while staying closely connected to day-to-day operations and people.

Duties include, but aren’t limited to:

• Financial planning, reporting and strategy: managing annual budget cycle, produce monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports.
• Compliance, Audit and Risk Management: Oversee annual audits for both US and UK entities, support compliance checks and procurement systems meet organisational and donor requirements.
• Investment, Treasury and External Relations: Monitor and management investment and cash accounts across both the US and UK – optimising returns. Managing external banking, investment and lease negotiations, managing annual vendor negotiations and renewals globally.
• Systems optimisation and process improvement.
• Team leadership: Lead and support the finance team, reviewing outputs, resolving issues to support high performance. Oversee financial training to all budget holders to maintain financial literacy and accountability across the organisation.

Essential experience

The successful candidate will possess blends of technical financial expertise with operational leadership with a continuous commitment to purpose-driven work. You will have:

• Professional financial qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Senior-level finance experience in an international charity or NGO sector.
• Strong familiarity with both UK SORP and US GAAP.
• Proven extensive knowledge of strategic financial leadership.
• Experience supporting grant management and donor reporting.
• A commitment to human rights, social justice, and inclusive workplaces.
• Mindset for process improvement and cross collaboration and partnership.
• Strong commitment to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
