About Now Teach
Now Teach is at a pivotal time in its strategic journey, following a hugely successful media and bridging fundraising campaign that has raised over £3m in new income for 2024-2026 and achieved 32 media mentions (15 national) and 2.5m PR views. We are now seeking to significantly grow our donor base and fundraised income and therefore are looking to recruit to this new role. We are seeking someone who can support the Director of Philanthropy and Communications to deliver our strategy to increase income through the recruitment of new donors and enable and deliver work with our current funders (primarily individuals and trusts). ABOUT THE ROLE
Role overview
This role will be varied and offer lots of opportunities to get stuck into managing relationships with high value donors. Both the CEO, and the Director of Fundraising and Communications will work to steward the relationships with our donors in person, while this role will lead on delivering high-quality preparation, proposals, reporting, and data management that underpin donor relationships. You will also contribute to building connections across teams and aligning fundraising activities with Now Teach’s wider strategy.
You’ll deliver exciting and engaging communications and events which inspire our donors to continue to support our cause, as well as be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting so we can give supporters a great sense of the impact their donations make. This role will work on a combination of externally facing and internal projects and tasks and will be a great way to advance your career in fundraising.

Create and maintain a stewardship calendar of content, reports, and events to engage our donors, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

Write and produce proposals and applications for funding from major donors and trusts, in collaboration with programme and recruitment teams, championing user-centred thinking by representing participant and school impact in fundraising materials.

Operations Officer Wales
You will be working alongside a team of Operations Officers, supporting, inspiring and guiding DofE leaders to ensure a consistent and quality experience for the young people that they support. You’ll be managing a portfolio of existing partners in Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taff.

As a Caseworker, you will provide trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Working mostly remotely, with some home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes.

As we approach our 70th anniversary in July 2027, we want to use this milestone to ‘share the powerful stories of the people involved in Phab, past and present’ to celebrate and amplify Phab’s reach and inspire the next generation of disabled and non-disabled young people to drive inclusion, alongside supporters, volunteers, partners, and participants.
The Role
The Head of Marketing and Communications will shape and lead a new marketing and comms strategy in line with our Phab Strategy 2025 to 2030 – raising awareness of our work, growing our supporter base, championing inclusive practice, and ensuring that our messaging reflects and amplifies disabled voices.
You will work closely with teams across the charity, especially fundraising, Adventures, and ACTS, to develop content and that help us connect with new audiences, demonstrate impact, and position Phab as a leader in disability inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership

Develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy aligned with Phab’s mission and strategic objectives

Line manage and support the Social Media & Club Support Executive, and oversee the work of external freelancers/agencies where required

Essential

Degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.

Substantial proven success in a senior leadership role within marketing and communications, ideally at organisational or national level.

Demonstrated experience of managing and motivating teams (staff and freelancers) and fostering collaborative working across departments.

Strong strategic acumen combined with a track record of delivering high-impact, multi-channel campaigns from conception to evaluation.

Together for Short Lives is a charity that makes sure seriously ill children and their families get the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. We also speak up to government leaders and decision-makers to help make sure families have access to the best support when they need it.
About the Role
As a Kentown Family Service Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for families referred into the Kentown programme, helping them navigate health, social care, and voluntary sector services. You will:
- Carry out family needs assessments and co-develop personalised support plans with families.
- Build strong local relationships with health, education, and community services to ensure families can access the help they need.
- Promote the work of the Kentown Programme and Together for Short Lives and raise awareness of children’s palliative care in the region.

- Work collaboratively with the Kentown team, sharing learning and best practice across regions.
- This is a home-based role with travel across Lancashire, Cumbria, and Manchester.
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience in health, social care, or education who is passionate about supporting families. You will bring:
- Experience working directly with children, young people, or families with complex needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families and professionals.
- The ability to assess needs, coordinate support, and signpost families to the right services.
