The Talent Set is working on behalf of a leading UK charity to recruit an Interim Digital Content Editor for an initial 6 week contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the charity’s digital presence by creating clear, accessible, and engaging web content.

You will play a key role in developing and refining content for the charity’s website, ensuring all copy aligns with their tone of voice and meets accessibility standards. The School Library Association (SLA) supports approximately 2000 members working in schools across the UK with advice, training and advocacy. The School Library Lead will be at the forefront of our member offer and outreach, to help us deliver on our mission to support all those working in school libraries, so that more children and young people reach their full potential through the school library.   

This role will lead on providing advice, inspiration and support for schools looking to develop their school library provision and all the benefits this brings. An expert in school libraries, you will be comfortable supporting members 1:1, delivering training to larger audiences, providing consultancy to schools and sector organisations, writing training and resources, or preparing book recommendations. An exciting opportunity for someone experienced in school libraries with knowledge of the curriculum, teaching and learning and children’s books, you will be the first port of call for library advice and expertise, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the membership network.

You will be experienced in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels relish a busy role. This will include supporting our Branch network, collaborating on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. As resident children’s book expert, you will support with programmes and projects such as the SLA Information Book Award and member book-related events. You will work with your SLA colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality member events and training as well as advocacy events to raise awareness of the importance of school libraries. Using your sector insight, you will identify opportunities for development of initiatives that will support the SLA vision and mission enabling us to reach more children and young people through our work.  This is a busy and rewarding role and will suit someone with passion and resilience.

Following an organisational review, EMMS is creating a new Director of Fundraising role, separating fundraising and communications into two Director posts. EMMS is financially stable with healthy reserves, currently raising around £400,000 per year in fundraised income, plus a significant time-limited major donor gift ending in 2028.

The Director of Fundraising will:

• Lead the development of a diverse, sustainable fundraising strategy across multiple income streams (trusts and foundations, major donors, individual giving, community, corporates, legacies).

• Be hands-on in delivering this strategy, supported by an experienced Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy and a Stewardship Manager.

• Manage and grow relationships with donors and stakeholders, meeting ambitious income targets.

• Oversee budgets, forecasting and reporting, and contribute to organisational strategic and business planning.

• Line manage fundraising staff, setting objectives/KPIs and supporting their development.

• Sit on the Executive Leadership Team and play a proactive role in the wider management and development of the charity, including reporting to the CEO and attending some Board meetings.

What they’re looking for:
An experienced senior fundraiser with a strong track record of strategic income growth across multiple channels, excellent relationship-building skills, strong leadership and team management experience, and knowledge of the Scottish charity and fundraising landscape. You should be confident operating strategically and operationally, familiar with fundraising regulation and good practice, and able to communicate effectively with both Christian and secular audiences in line with EMMS’ faith-based heritage and health mission. Degree-level education or equivalent experience is required; membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (or willingness to join) is expected.

About the role

As Director of Finance and Resources and with an oversight of a £15m budget, we are looking for a strong, corporate business leader operating at a senior level to help take Cystic Fibrosis Trust forward on our exciting journey towards a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis and optimising our finance and resources to deliver maximum impact for people with cystic fibrosis.

You will lead and develop a high performing multidisciplinary team of Heads including Finance, IT, Facilities, People and Organisation Development, Strategy and Business Intelligence, Company Secretariat functions as well as work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and other internal and external stakeholders. Please note this is a UK based role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Financial leadership of the Trust’s financial management strategy and statutory reporting and audit processes as well as reporting to our Boards and Committees.
• Digital and information systems: Lead IT and Digital development and implementation strategies, including delivery of the new CRM replacement going live in 2026 (MS Dynamics).

To be the right person for this role, the requirements you will need to meet include:

• To be a qualified accountant (CCAB recognised or equivalent) with minimum five years post‑qualification experience and ongoing CPD. 
• Successful experience in a business leadership role to operate at a Director/Board level and as a senior leadership team member. 
• Experience of developing effective short and long term business and financial strategies.
• Managing complex budgets, financial modelling and projections.
• Experience of directing, leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience of working successfully in a changing organisation where flexibility, agility and adaptability are essential.
• In-depth and up to date knowledge of best practice financial management and reporting under the Charity SORP and charity governance practices.
• In-depth and up to date knowledge of best practice HR/people management, knowledge of employment law and Data Protection regulations.

Role purpose

To generate sustainable income and grow our community of supporters through regional fundraising campaigns, community fundraising, local trusts and corporates, and regional membership recruitment. This role also supports project-specific giving, ensuring alignment with our priority impact areas, such as raising awareness, patient services and glaucoma research.

Fundraising & Income Generation

• Deliver regional fundraising appeals and campaigns aligned to local services.

A key part of your role will be managing the shop supplies order process, including price checking and placing orders to ensure our shops have what they need to operate smoothly.

It will also involve supporting a range of finance and new goods admin tasks including processing invoices, raising product codes and assisting with stock takes. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our retail operations run efficiently, with coordinating supplies and signage for our new shop openings, maintaining till number records, updating spreadsheets and managing our online shop handbook.

About you

To succeed, you’ll need a background in admin, excellent communication and time management skills and a proven ability to work across a range of tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail. You’ll also need a proactive approach, lots of initiative and a flair for solving problems, completing tasks and overcoming obstacles. The ability to respond quickly and positively to change is important too, as is a willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas, methods or processes where appropriate. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. You will develop and engage with our residents to produce tailored support plans which support their individual needs in successful rehabilitation and reintegration within the community. You will identify their needs, goals and skills, and then support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service holds a strong focus on public protection and effective risk management.

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Engaging with residents throughout the night, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage with them such as movie nights, games nights, and other activities applicable

Homelessness Outreach Support Worker

We are seeking someone who can build trust, support people facing homelessness and help them move away from rough sleeping.

Position: Rough Sleeper Navigator (internal title)

Salary: £27,054 per annum
Location: Bradbury Centre and community based
Hours: 37 hours per week - shift pattern with shifts starting at 6am and finishing at 12am.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, practical role supporting people who are rough sleeping and living with complex needs. You will work directly with individuals on the street, in the community and across local services, providing tailored one to one support to help them access housing, healthcare, treatment and wider support.

Key responsibilities include:

· Delivering early morning and late evening outreach based on local intelligence and Streetlink alerts

· Acting as a consistent point of contact for people using the service, ensuring they can access the right help at the right time

· Providing a person centred, trauma informed approach to each individual’s support plan

· Supporting people with practical day to day needs including health, benefits, community activities, budgeting and maintaining accommodation

· Helping people address challenges around alcohol or drug use in group or one to one settings

· Keeping clear and accurate records, case notes and reports

· Working with partner agencies including housing, health, voluntary and community services

· Taking part in service development and team meetings

About You

You’ll be someone who genuinely wants to help people change their lives and you’ll be resilient, calm under pressure and comfortable working with individuals who have multiple needs.

You will need:

· Experience of supporting or motivating people with complex backgrounds

· Understanding of housing, homelessness or related support services

· Strong communication and conflict management skills

· Ability to build trust and positive relationships with a wide range of partners

· A recovery focused, person centred approach

· Willingness to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends as part of a rota

It would be helpful if you have an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or experience in homelessness, housing, substance misuse or community outreach, but this is not essential. A driving licence or language skills are also desirable.
