The Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Oxfordshire’s sustainable food movement. As CEO, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering GFO’s strategic direction, strengthening our partnerships, raising funds and ensuring our work continues to drive meaningful change. You’ll lead a passionate team, represent GFO at the highest levels, and oversee the delivery of our flagship projects and campaigns.

This could be a full-time or part-time role; we believe in flexibility and welcome conversations about alternative working arrangements. The successful applicant will ideally be based within Oxfordshire and able to work from our Oxford office at least two days a week.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance strategic vision with operational oversight, stakeholder engagement, fund raising and team development.

Salary: In the region of £50,000 per annum, depending on experience (FTE)

This role could be full-time or part-time at 0.6 FTE for the right candidate. A 0.6 FTE role would have a salary of £30,000 per annum. We value work-life balance and are open to flexible arrangements.

You’ll lead on fundraising and income generation. Whether securing grants, developing new revenue streams, or cultivating strategic partnerships, you’ll ensure GFO remains financially resilient. You’ll also be our main public voice, raising our profile across Oxfordshire and nationally, and advocating for a fairer food system.

Financial Management & Resource Planning
You’ll oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure GFO’s financial sustainability, balancing ambition with responsibility. This includes working with the team to make informed decisions about staffing, project delivery, and operational priorities. .

Programme Oversight
While you won’t be managing projects day-to-day, you’ll provide strategic oversight of our key initiatives—including OxFarmtoFork and our journey toward Sustainable Food Places Gold accreditation. You’ll ensure our programmes are well-resourced, aligned with our mission, and delivering meaningful impact across the county.

Community Wealth Building & Social Enterprise Support
You’ll champion inclusive economic models that empower communities and strengthen the local food system. Supporting social enterprises and community-led initiatives will be central to your work, helping build a food economy that’s fair, resilient, and locally rooted.

Stakeholder Engagement
You’ll nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from senior contacts in local councils and national networks, to grassroots food groups and community partners. Your ability to listen, connect, and advocate will be key to building trust and driving collective action across sectors.

Programme Support Coordinator

Are you passionate about inclusion and physical activity? Do you have a flair for organisation, communication, and community engagement? Join us as a Programme Support Coordinator and help support a national movement making physical activity more accessible to people with a learning disability.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Programme Support Coordinator to support the delivery of our Sport England funded national programme that empowers people with a learning disability to get active. You will work across 2 key projects:

· Our Active Community – supporting people with a learning disability and their communities to become more active.

· Mencap Active Community – helping to grow, engage and upskill a national network of stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about health and wellbeing for people with a learning disability, with strong coordination and communication skills.

Mencap are a Sport England funded system partner, and this role is a full-time fixed term contract until end of March 2027. You will sit within the Active Communities team supporting the Programme Lead, Network Development Partner and 5 Community Partners.

What You Will Be Doing

· Liaise with Community Partners and support them with their Our Active Community workload. Tasks will vary but could involve asset mapping, attending forums, writing up meeting notes, creating Easy Read documents, and compiling newsletters.

· Liaise with the Network Development Partner to organise and support national forums, webinars, and learning events to share best practice and amplify lived experience.

· Support with our online platforms for Mencap Active Community, signing up stakeholders and keeping content up to date and engaging. This will include the development of inclusive resources, toolkits, and communications for national distribution.

· Provide coordination support for the delivery of our Learning Disability and Sport workshop in terms of bookings, liaising with tutors, co-trainers, attendees and capturing impact.

· Lead on our communications plan by creating content and promoting our work both internally and externally across various communication channels.

· Monitor our sports inbox and respond to general enquiry emails.

· Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including data analysis, capturing learnings and creating case studies.

· Support the team with other responsibilities relevant to the role that may not be listed above.

· Experience of supporting projects in community, health, physical activity, or disability settings.

· Understanding of the barriers people with a learning disability face in accessing physical activity.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The Role 

We are looking for an experienced Social Workers to join our London & South East Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.

The role also involves contributing to multi-agency meetings, maintaining accurate case notes, completing assessments, and reviewing safety plans. In addition, you will oversee housing maintenance by ensuring repairs are completed and health and safety guidelines are followed. This role is based on working Saturdays and Sundays 8am -2pm each week.

At London City Mission, we estimate that one in two Londoners, that’s roughly 4.5 million people, are unlikely to hear the gospel in their lifetime. For many of these people, their everyday experience will be one of rejection or helplessness and their cultural and religious background may mean they are least likely to hear the gospel. It’s clear throughout the Bible that God has a heart for people who are marginalised and overlooked. And tragically, it’s often in London’s most deprived communities that people are least likely to hear the invitation to repentance and eternal hope in Jesus. 

At London City Mission, we are partnering with churches who have a growing passion for reaching out to the communities around them, but who need equipping and building up for this crucial work. Our aim over the next five years is to see 150 new missional teams established in churches across London. These missional teams are groups of church members who take responsibility for a ministry to a community who may not otherwise hear about Jesus, are affirmed and publicly supported by the church leadership, pray for each other and for the people they want to invite to follow Christ, using their different gifts regularly to reach people who are part of this community. We pray that, together by 2029, these teams will be part of 25,000 gospel conversations within communities where Jesus Christ isn't known. The Missionary role is, therefore, a Church mobilisation role.

We are seeking candidates for a Missionary role who have a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus with specific groups of Londoners, and who can also come alongside churches to train and inspire Christian believers to reach their local communities with the hope of the gospel.

The successful candidate will minister in – but not restricted to - the following location:  

• Tower Hamlets and Hackney team with a specialist focus on Council Estates and Seniors 

The successful applicant will have experience of outreach amongst the neediest groups in our society but will also understand the church landscape in London and be able to inspire those in London churches to get involved in outreach. They will work in missional teams to equip church volunteers for outreach where the most need is in their communities, drawing upon their particular experience when required. This position is a full-time, permanent appointment. Starting salary is £22,045 per annum plus £1,200 per month housing allowance (taxable). About The Role
Do you have ability to build positive relationships and identify new fundraising opportunities? Would you like the opportunity to make a difference for people affected by dementia, by engaging with supporters across the South of Northern Ireland?

We are recruiting for a Regional Fundraiser covering the South of Northern Ireland to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until September 2026. This role is homebased but will require you to travel across the South of Northern Ireland with the aim of growing income across the region to exceed fundraising targets.

You’ll work collaboratively with others to provide exceptional stewardship for our supporters, whilst remaining adaptable and ready to focus on other areas where funds are also raised.

This might mean you’re helping to attract new supporters from different places or taking care of existing supporters across various income streams in other areas. We will seek to maximise your skills effectively in your core counties, while also making sure they benefit the wider region's needs, enabling you to make a big contribution to fundraising for people affected by dementia.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience in relationship community fundraising or similar transferrable skills such as the ability to build rapport, communicate effectively and use emotional intelligence when engaging with others. You’ll have experience of delivering excellent customer service, account managing or supporter stewardship, ensuring that people you work with feel valued and appreciated.

Crucially, you’ll be able to identify and establish new opportunities with a good understanding of budgeting and financial management combined with the ability to analyse data and information to make informed decisions.

This is an exciting role which will require you to travel across the geographical area of South Northern Ireland, therefore you’ll need to be able to work remotely and independently with a full driving licence and access to a car. Ultimately, this role will enable you to connect with others and build and develop your relationship fundraising and sector experience in a major national charity.

What you’ll focus on:

- Working proactively to identify and deliver new fundraising opportunities within the South of Northern Ireland, through pipelining and winning new income from Corporate, Groups and Associations, Individuals and Third-party activities to maximise income streams.
- Relationship building, providing exceptional stewardship to build relationships that boost retention and lifetime value for our supporters.
- Acquisition and pipelining, driving new business income (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery) and achieving financial targets.
- Recruiting and managing volunteers in line with the activity plan.
- Working with a budget to manage and deliver income, providing detailed commentary and insights to the line manager on variances, capacity and trends at regular intervals agreed.
- Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and identifying cross-departmental opportunities where appropriate by working collaboratively.

About the role

The Development Officer will be responsible for delivering Family Forums within HMP Lindholme and HMP Moorland, supporting the Development Manager with Professionals Forums and training, and engaging with families and partner agencies in the community. This role plays a vital part in improving the lives of people impacted by imprisonment by fostering engagement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver monthly Family Forums within each prison.
• Engage families and ensure their voices are heard.
• Monitor and track progress from Family Forums.
• Build relationships with prison departments and community agencies.
• Support logistics for Professionals Forums and other events.
• Recruit and manage volunteers with a person-centred approach.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to work effectively in a team. We’re looking for an SRHR Policy and Advocacy Adviser (up to the end of June 2026) to play a key role in the final phase of a donor-funded programme as part of the Countdown 2030 Europe network. In this short but high-impact role, you will help deliver key influencing opportunities on the UK Government’s commitments to SRHR, while maintaining influential relationships across government, Parliament and civil society. You’ll also lead political influencing on major advocacy moments — including the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) and the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) — in meaningful partnership with young people.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a fellow SRHR Policy and Advocacy Adviser and the Senior Policy and Advocacy Manager, combining strengths to maximise our influence and deliver real impact for girls’ rights.

As part of our dynamic Policy, Campaigns and Youth team, you’ll work collaboratively across Plan International UK and with our federation partners to ensure our influencing strategies remain credible, evidence-based, and rooted in feminist, anti-racist and decolonial approaches.

You’ll bring strong policy and advocacy experience, ideally with a track record of shaping UK Government policy and working on SRHR. Confident in building and managing high-level relationships, including with senior government officials, you’ll be quick to apply your expertise in producing persuasive policy positions and communications. You’ll also be a champion for youth-centred influencing, supporting young people to engage meaningfully in global advocacy spaces.

Experience of working within the UN system and knowledge of SRHR multilateral financing mechanisms would be an advantage.
