About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Refugee Migrant Centre as a Caseworker, authorised by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), formerly known as OISC. RMC is a well-established, award-winning regional charity, widely recognised for its impactful work with refugees and migrants.
For over 23 years, RMC has assisted thousands of refugees and migrants from 162 countries, helping to break down barriers to integration and enabling clients to become equal citizens. We provide a holistic range of services, from specialist legal advice to education and employment programs.
The successful candidate will join RMC’s Immigration department and play a key role in delivering free immigration advice and representation. This is an exciting time to join the team as RMC is expanding its infrastructure following significant growth in staff, activities, and turnover—rising from £776k to £2.8 million in the past five years.
RMC is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) and is accredited to provide free immigration advice up to Level 3, covering cases from initial advice through to the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.
Our immigration services focus on assisting migrants (including undocumented migrants), refugees, and asylum-seekers in navigating the UK’s complex immigration legal system. We help clients secure the right to remain in the UK for themselves and their families, with a particular emphasis on human rights claims, family and private life applications, family reunion, settlement, citizenship, and applications under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Purpose of the Role:
Main duties and responsibilities
All Caseworkers (Levels 1 and 2) will be required to carry out the tasks shown below:
Casework and client care:
· To provide one-to-one specialist advice in immigration and asylum area of law
· To provide thorough, professional, high quality and timely casework and advice
· To ensure accurate recording keeping and ensure all necessary and associated administrative tasks are completed
· To ensure case deadlines and key dates are recorded, monitored and actioned in a timely manner
· To conduct all casework and advice in compliance with all IAA regulatory requirements and the IAA code of standards
· To maintain confidentiality in all dealings with clients
Training and development:
· To keep up to date with changes in the law
· To attend training and share learning and good practice with other advisors
· To keep a record of your attendance on training courses
· To provide internal and/or external immigration training when required by management
Teamwork:
· To share casework knowledge and experience within the team
· To mentor, support and/or supervise colleagues on a lower level of IAA regulation
Projects and Engagement:
· To take responsibility for the day to day delivery of specific projects if requested by management
· To deliver presentations and represent RMC at meetings/events when required by management
· To maintain effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders

Person Specification
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills- essential
· Accredited at IAA Level 1 or 2
· Experience in delivering advice and representation in the field of UK immigration and asylum
· Experience in working with clients with vulnerabilities and/or migrants, asylum-seekers, refugees
· Knowledge of most immigration areas, with a good understanding of at least one area such as the EUSS, asylum, human rights or family-based applications
· Commitment to working towards Level 2 accreditation (for IAA L1 advisors only)
· Ability to explain complex information to clients from different backgrounds
· A proven high standard of communication skills, including written, oral, presentational and inter-personal skills

Flexibility
In order to deliver the stated aims of this post, a degree of flexibility is needed and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. About the role
Our team of Regional Communications Officers support Emmaus communities and groups to increase their profile and engage supporters. You will work closely with up to four Emmaus charities to identify their communications needs, plan and deliver work to help achieve their goals.
You will have excellent skills and knowledge in communications, public relations and marketing with at least two years’ experience working in a busy and varied communications role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.
Within this hybrid role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are located, maintaining ongoing positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important. This role will suit someone located in Yorkshire or the North East as regular travel (usually at least one community visit per week) will be required to South Shields, Leeds and Hull.

The Children & Young Person’s Advocate will support children at risk of domestic abuse, including sexual violence and stalking within a domestic abuse context within the Thames Valley area. Children will be identified via their non-abusing parent who is already accessing support as a victim of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking from Aurora New Dawn. The support offered to the child will be parallel to the non-abusing parent’s support and offers the parent a safe space to speak confidentially to their advocate.
The Children & Young Person’s Advocate will take part in age appropriate activities via various communication channels with the child. Role Overview
The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.
A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas.
· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation.
· Raise the profile of CAPs in the North East of England and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders.
Specific duties to include the following:
o Represent CAP at all operational meetings.
o Ensure that Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) member companies play a full delivery role in each CAP where they operate as businesses.
o Liaise as appropriate with strategic leads within local enforcement authorities and other partner organisations to initiate and complete agreed actions.
o Encourage all projects to achieve positive local media coverage including via social media and regional news/broadcast media.
o Ensure that all projects carry out as a minimum a baseline (pre-CAP) evaluation and post intervention evaluation following the CAP evaluation framework and project management survey tools.
o Produce a monthly progress report on all schemes and pipeline activity.
o Attend and participate in regular CAP update meetings on Microsoft teams (x12 pa).
o Assist with event planning and profile-raising opportunities such as MP visits to CAP projects.
Skills, attributes and experience
- Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, police, retailers and licensing.
- Excellent organisational and sound project management skills.
- Great people skills with the ability to build consensus and motivate partners to play a role in timely delivery of an agreed action plan.
- Act as an ambassador for CAP at meetings and events including parliamentary events.

Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2-3 days in the office.

In this role, the Area Director is our senior representative and primary contact for member colleges across the Yorkshire and The Humber region. This is an influential role, working closely with college Boards, CEOs/principals and senior teams to understand and meet their needs. You will champion and represent colleges with key stakeholders, including devolved authorities, and engage members in AoC’s policy and public affairs work.
We are seeking a strong leader with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, gained from working in a complex stakeholder environment. You will need a deep understanding of colleges and the further education policy and political environment, ideally supported by experience in the FE sector. Strong local knowledge of the region’s social and economic context will also be essential.

About the role
As CEO, you'll be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational delivery, and long-term sustainability of the charity. Role snapshot
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Young Citizens in one of two key Programme Coordinator roles, each helping to deliver our national education programmes.
- As Programme Coordinator – Event and Project Lead, you’ll oversee the planning and delivery of around 65 events each year, from mock trials and school workshops to teacher training and sector-facing events, ensuring every detail contributes to a high-quality experience for young people, educators, and volunteers. In addition to event delivery, the role also involves leading key projects that support programme development and growth.
- As Programme Coordinator – Schools Engagement Lead, you’ll be the main point of contact for over 480 secondary schools, managing registrations, communications, and support to ensure smooth, engaging participation across our programmes.
Both roles are vital to our mission of empowering young people through active citizenship. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping a well-established charity as we deliver on our 3-year strategy, with opportunities to facilitate workshops and mock trials, coordinate programme delivery, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team where clear processes, adaptability, and a passion for social impact are key to success.

About Shout Out UK (SOUK):
Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a UK-based award-winning political and media literacy organisation with nearly a decade of experience in delivering impactful educational campaigns. Our mission is to defend and amplify democracy by equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the complex information landscape and engage as informed, active citizens. We have a strong track record of working with educators and young people across various contexts, and we are the secretariat for the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group for Political and Media Literacy.
The Position:
You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to support the delivery of our educational programmes. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, you will be tasked with delivering programmes on Political & Media Literacy, counter-extremism, and online safety. This will involve traveling to a variety of educational settings to deliver our programmes, alongside supporting our Head of Programmes and Programme Coordinators to recruit schools and colleges. Projects can vary from media literacy workshops for schools, online harms CPD training, to city-wide democratic engagement stalls.
The applicant needs to be motivated, interested in counter-extremism, and passionate about Political & Media Literacy. The job is based on a 7-month contract, with likely extension (including a 3-month probation period).
Key responsibilities
