Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager will play an integral role in growing our organisation and securing its future. You will develop authentic important relationships and partnerships to:
· Increase and diversify sustainable income streams, making the best use of our creative community space and talent.
· Foster connections with local businesses to attract corporate sponsorship and payroll giving.
· Research new opportunities for raising income such as events and training programmes.

Strategic litigation is core to Liberty’s work. Our lawyers work closely with the rest of the organisation using casework and legal advice to help Liberty reach its strategic goals. You will be responsible for running a small caseload of strategic litigation, conducting interventions and providing specialist human rights advice. A large part of the role is identifying and then scoping potential cases, working closely with other organisations to develop the litigation in a collaborative and creative way.
If you are interested in a job that involves innovative legal work in the NGO sector, we would like to hear from you. We have deliberately not included a requirement for a certain level of PQE in the selection criteria as we are keen to hear from candidates with pre-qualification experience, including experience outside the legal sector. We are also interested in more experienced applicants who may not see themselves as a human rights lawyer, but are interested in moving into this area.

As the Public Affairs Adviser, you will be instrumental in establishing the RCR as a key player in the health agenda. You will lead on the planning and delivery of public affairs activity, provide strategic advice to senior leadership, and work collaboratively across teams to influence policy and stakeholder engagement. You will also support the development of integrated campaigns and ensure our voice is heard across the UK and devolved nations.
What you will do:
- Devise and deliver public affairs strategies aligned with RCR’s objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with parliamentarians, civil servants, and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice and briefings for senior leadership.
- Coordinate public affairs activities across the UK and devolved nations.
- Collaborate with media and digital teams to create impactful campaigns.
- Monitor political developments and identify influencing opportunities.
- Support member engagement and promote public affairs initiatives.
What you need:
- Sound knowledge of political and parliamentary processes.
- Proven experience in public affairs and stakeholder influencing and engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to the values and objectives of the RCR.
