Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:

WomenMATTA delivers support services to women in Manchester and Trafford who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system. This includes one to one advice, advocacy, practical and emotional support, and group interventions.

This position will provide strategic oversight and operational management to all WomenMATTA services delivered through hubs across multiple sites in Manchester and Trafford, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, partnerships are established and maintained, and budgets are appropriately managed.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Lead on the operational management and strategic oversight of WomenMATTA; ensuring high quality, trauma informed, and gender responsive services are delivered to vulnerable and marginalized women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.
2. Provide effective leadership to the WomenMATTA team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
3. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.
4. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as the Probation and local authority leads to ensure effective service delivery.

Community Fundraising Manager

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser,  dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Senior Community Fundraising Manager covering England and Wales.

Covering the England and Wales the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team.

Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. You will research, identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities, areas of potential support and build a robust pipeline for restricted grants and corporate partners.

The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers.

This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Salary and annual leave 

Salary will depend on qualifications and experience but is expected to be between £35,000 and £38,000 p/a (depending on experience). Annual leave is 25 days per year plus public holidays (33 days).

 

The purpose of the role is to drive and deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy in order to support the work of Life. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end experience of existing supporters as well as attaining new supporters.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and leading the Individual Giving Team, the post holder will work closely with colleagues across the fundraising and marketing teams to; create, test, monitor and evaluate appeals and campaigns, lead on Legacy (and in-memoriam giving) lottery and raffle and other income streams associated with individual giving. The post holder will be working to and reporting on ambitious income and expenditure targets and ensuring that supporters have a positive experience of the charity.

The postholder will lead a Donor Administration Manager to deliver on a positive donor/supporter experience with the aim of retention of current supporters for the long term as well as acquisition of new donors, maximising the potential of all of our supporters. It forms a central part of the overall fundraising strategy, with the ultimate aim of growing our individual giving income to increase the impact of the charity and benefit those needing support in pregnancy, pregnancy loss or in the early years of a baby.

· Grow one-off donations and regular gifts and maximise the acquisition of new supporters through direct mail and digital marketing

Information Management

 · Ensure data and information systems are up to date and provide an accurate picture of supporter segmentation, communications, preferences, permissions, requests, gifts and pledges

Personal and People Development

The job

• We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated fundraiser to join Chetham’s as Senior Development Manager to manage the development team in securing over £600k of income per annum across Chetham’s School of Music, Library and The Stoller Hall. This is a great progression opportunity for someone currently working in fundraising.
• Supported by the Joint Principals, Head of Communications, the Creative Commercial Director and the Board: The Senior Development Manager will drive forward fundraising at Chetham’s and ensure that storytelling is used creatively to promote our vision – to make music and education more accessible, to enrich the lives of people in Manchester and beyond, and to improve wellbeing through the magic of music and learning. The role is ideally suited to somebody looking to grow into a senior fundraising role, and you will be supported by colleagues and mentorship from board members.
• Our development team is small but ambitious and includes a part time Development Manager and full time Fundraising Administrator. Working alongside our communications department, the development team manage a variety of income streams including a successful trust and foundation portfolio, donations, growing major donor and patron programme. There is opportunity to grow income from regular giving, legacies and corporate.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years fundraising experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and confidence working with a range of different stakeholders. Experience working in a similar arts organisation with a track record of securing five-figure gifts and a knowledge of database systems is highly desirable.
• This a full time, permanent role working 35 per week.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Retention

• Administer the recruitment process by placing job adverts into the template on Canva, removing expired job adverts from the THET website; downloading applications; setting up interviews
• Update staff induction materials
• Update the Organisational Organogram on a monthly basis

Development & Performance

About the role

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. Someone who can actively engage and work with our existing client portfolio and win new business through formal tendering opportunities to ensure VoiceAbility remains a provider of choice.

In this new role, you will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate working proactively with external stakeholders and colleagues from across the organisation to ensure that we grow our portfolio of contracts, re-win existing business and advise clients of new services. You will be doing a mixture of new business sales and account management of existing services.

As Viva’s Head of Impact, you will work closely with the Network Partnerships Team Leadership to lead the development of a new approach to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with the primary purpose of supporting partner networks to know their impact and share learning with each other.
