WaterAid is exclusively partnering with Robertson Bell in their search for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis, in this newly revamped role. This role will be a key strategic advisor and responsible for high-level planning conversations to WaterAid UKs largest income generating Directorate: Communications and Fundraising. As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for helping shape the strategic direction of fundraising team. This is a high-profile role, enabling Water Aid UK’s senior leadership to deliver and support the delivery of WaterAid’s ambitious programmatic activity.

The key duties of the Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:

• Owning relationships with key senior stakeholders within the Communications and Fundraising Directorate.
• Regularly engaging on strategic long-term decision making and providing relevant financial data to key decision makers.
• Work with the directorate to build realistic and detailed financial plans.
• Own directorate specific timelines for delivering financial forecasts and budgets.
• Work with Head of Management Accounting to build a consolidated picture for WaterAid UKs performance for the Executive Director Team.
• Collaborate on the building and maintenance of automated reporting for directorate on PowerBI.
• Regularly engage with budget holders to ensure that spending and income is on track against plans.
• Ensure CRM data is complete and accurately reflected in the month end close position.
• Oversee the monthly recording of both unrestricted and restricted income streams.

The successful candidate will have:

• Completed a professional accounting qualification or be part-qualified with relevant professional experience.
• Experience of strategic partnering senior stakeholders (ideally at Executive Director level) along with senior leadership teams.
• Ability to analyse large quantities of data with a view to identifying trends and key drivers.
• Adaptability to build effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues and work in a collaborative way.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience of managing finances within a fundraising directorate (Desirable).
• Knowledge of international development issues and the sector (Desirable).

• We also run loads of virtual events throughout the year for all our different audiences, including large scale virtual university and apprenticeship fairs for students.

What you’ll do

As Events Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team to make sure all our events are delivered to the highest standard. You’ll be working closely alongside our Head of Events and Events Leads as part of our growing Marketing team to make sure all our events help students to make informed decisions about their next steps. 

In-person events:

• Work alongside the Event Lead, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s in-person conferences and events, to support the planning and delivery of these events and make sure they’re a success.

• Play a key role on the day - lead on the set up and pack down of events and be an expert on the event logistics, on hand to support attendees, the Event Lead, and the rest of the Unifrog team.

• Manage the registration desk and welcome attendees as they arrive, giving them a fantastic first impression of the event and helping them with any questions they may have. 

• Support with research and planning future events, including conducting initial site visits.

• Support with writing and sending conversion and follow-up emails for events.

• Draw on your own experiences to make sure that all our events are relevant and provide value to our different audiences.

Virtual events:

• Work alongside the Event Lead, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s webinar series and university fairs, to support the planning and delivery of these events.

• Ensure the smooth running of our university fairs. Become an expert user of the iVent platform – send reminders of session start times, spark conversations on the chat function, and solve any technical issues.

• Act as a host for some of our events – run live sessions, field questions from participants, and facilitate discussions between our expert panelists.

External conferences:

• Provide ad hoc support with the logistics of our conference equipment and make sure equipment and materials are delivered to external conferences and returned to the office in time.

Other responsibilities:

• Support with our events inbox to make sure all emails are responded to in a friendly and professional manner within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). 

• Develop an in-depth understanding of our different audiences. 

• Support the wider Marketing and Events team with ad-hoc requests.

About the role

As the Assistant PR and Media Officer, you will work across the media and PR team to support the delivery of impactful media coverage that will build understanding of the issues affecting people with arthritis, increase awareness of Versus Arthritis and drive change.

This will include acting as a point of contact for journalists seeking information and working with colleagues across the charity to provide timely and accurate comment, requiring occasional out of hours work. As well as responding to reactive media enquiries, you will have the opportunity to help deliver proactive media work and write press releases. 

Central to increasing awareness and understanding of arthritis is through sharing the experiences of people with lived experience. Alongside the Stories Officer, you will support people to share their stories with media and help manage these important relationships. 

A key part of the role is to provide administrative support and to lead on media monitoring and evaluation, ensuring this supports team performance and learning. We’re a friendly and supportive team, keen to help you progress and thrive.

At an exciting and key stage in our journey we have the opportunity for Youth and Community Directors to join our team supporting Oasis’ youth and community work in neighbourhoods in the following regions;

- London and South East (North, Central and South London and Kent - five local Oasis charities)

With accountability to the Oasis CEO for Youth and Community the role of the regional Youth and Community Director will have three main functions:

1 Strategic management oversight of local Youth and Community teams

About the role

Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to spinal cord injured (SCI) people and their region of the UK.

The post coordinates two vital parallel strands:

1. In your region, to reach and support newly and long-term spinal cord injured people and their families developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex support needs.
2. Nationally, working to facilitate the link between SCI people and SIA and the network of services; referring SCI people and their families to our clinical / health expert support teams and advocacy services; working with the Digital Engagement team to build on-line links to regional partners in your area; supporting fundraising, campaigns and communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building strong relationships – you’ll be talking to everyone from people with SCI and their families, to healthcare professionals, solicitors and partners who deliver key services.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to help maintain, develop and continuously improve our data and systems. Project Management 

Deliver work targets on time and to standard to support the Foundation’s data and systems: : 

•  Support the day-to-day operations and management of all systems within the Living Wage Foundation designed to enable the functioning of Living Wage accreditation schemes. 

•  Proactively seek out systems improvements to make our processes more efficient so the Living Wage Foundation continues to provide an excellent service to the Living Wage network.

Pregnancy Options Centre (Options) are seeking a Fundraising Officer to raise funds for our counselling and education services: supporting people in crisis or distress around unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss experiences and educating the next generation on matters surrounding sexual health and healthy relationships. The post-holder will be responsible for raising funds from grants/trusts applications, and for developing and maintaining donor relationships. The role also has scope to grow and develop relationships with local businesses and individual giving to increase our income diversity.

Pregnancy Options Centre provides free, non-directive help and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy or struggling following an abortion or pregnancy loss. We offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings surrounding their situation and experiences. Alongside our counselling service, our Education project delivers interactive workshops to young people on topics surrounding healthy sex and relationships, self-esteem and the three options following an unplanned pregnancy: abortion, adoption and parenting.

The Foundation is recruiting a dynamic Senior Legal Officer to help expand, strengthen and innovate our TrustLaw programme in the Europe, Middle East and North Africa (EMENA) region. Reporting to the Senior Legal Programme Manager, EMENA, and working closely with the regional Programme Manager and Officer, the Senior Legal Officer will manage legal pro bono projects from TrustLaw’s community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations, and support the team on thought leadership initiatives.

About the Role 

As a Senior Legal Officer at Thomson Reuters, you will:  

• Scoping legal pro bono requests from our community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs for lawyers to advise on. 

• Managing pro bono requests, including connecting the pro bono client with lawyers, collecting feedback and following up with the parties involved.

• Designing, scoping and overseeing cross-border legal research projects, tools, resources and other content that address the most critical social and advocacy needs facing our members. 

• Proactive supporting of TrustLaw’s regional portfolio of law firms, corporations and other key stakeholders in EMENA to ensure TrustLaw regional quality and growth metrics are met. 

• Actively pursuing and cultivating relationships with law firms to secure their commitment to pro bono projects, employing persuasive communication strategies to highlight the impactful role they play in advancing social and environmental objectives through TrustLaw initiatives.

• Administering the service, for example through inputting into databases, planners, and trackers, running Salesforce reports, ensuring members have up-to-date contact information, inputting into quarterly reports, responding to requests for information, etc. in a timely manner.

• Contributing to the TrustLaw global annual strategy, and supporting the implementation of a regional strategy to expand and activate TrustLaw membership, ensuring we serve the best NGOs, social enterprises and independent media organisations, as well as the strongest law firms and corporate in-house legal teams. 

• Executing a robust communications, engagement and outreach strategy that includes member events and promotion of TrustLaw publications.

• Maintaining a high profile in EMENA by attending, supporting and coordinating events for TrustLaw and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, including by speaking publicly on our work at panels, roundtables, panel discussions, workshops, trainings, conferences or other speaking engagements.

About You

You are a fit for the role of Senior Legal Officer if your background includes:

• Legal experience (preferably with at least 1 year post qualification experience) working either in a law firm, in-house legal team or non-profit organisation.

• A good understanding of the legal and NGO sectors in EMENA (and, in particular, the UK), and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that pro bono opportunities bring to law firms and legal teams;

• Experience of project management or co-ordination is highly favourable. 

• Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail. 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

• Being ambitious, dynamic, and creative. 

• Experience in Salesforce would be favourable, experience working with databases essential.

• Experience organising events or trainings would be favourable. 

• Fluency in English, other languages favourable (e.g. French, Spanish, German, Arabic).

• Willingness to travel internationally. 

• Pre-existing right to work in the UK.

This is a full-time role based in London, with a minimum of two days in our office in Canary Wharf. The salary is relative to the local charitable sector and will be commensurate with experience.
