The Communications Manager provides operational leadership for CLAPA's communications delivery, ensuring communications and marketing activity is effectively planned, prioritised and delivered in support of the charity's strategic objectives. 

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the postholder is responsible for translating the communications strategy into coordinated day-to-day delivery. They will oversee the planning, scheduling and operational management of communications activity across the organisation, ensuring work is appropriately prioritised, resources are allocated effectively and projects are delivered to a consistently high standard. 

The role directly manages CLAPA's Communications Officers, embedding effective planning, briefing and workflow processes that enable the team to deliver proactive, creative and high-quality communications.

Acting as the primary operational lead for communications delivery, the postholder will ensure colleagues across CLAPA receive responsive, well-planned communications support while maintaining clear priorities and protecting the team's capacity to deliver its best work.

This is a key role in a small and ambitious Communications and Events team, which will sit at the intersection of day-to-day strategic oversight and hands-on delivery. You will develop and deliver engaging marketing and digital campaigns, in line with organisational and communications priorities, manage our year-round events programme, strengthen our community engagement and ensure consistently high standards across Climate Spring’s marketing, digital and events activity.

Key responsibilities:

Marketing and community engagement

• Lead the planning and delivery of cross-channel marketing plans (including digital campaigns, events and outreach) to promote Climate Spring’s industry programmes, initiatives and projects, alongside wider organisational campaigns.

• Develop and deliver audience and community engagement strategies that increase participation, strengthen audience journeys and build lasting relationships with our creative community, alumni and industry partners.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to identify priority audiences and community needs, ensuring that the right people are - and stay - engaged through relevant activity and events.

• Develop and manage partnerships and cross-promotional opportunities to extend the reach and impact of Climate Spring’s work.

• Work with industry and production partners to support and collaborate on the marketing and promotion of Climate Spring-supported film and TV projects. 

• Oversee the effective use of planning tools, calendars and reporting processes for marketing, campaigns and events.

• Track performance across campaigns and events, using data, insights and feedback to make recommendations and improve future activity.
   

Brand management and content oversight

• Act as a guardian of Climate Spring’s brand, ensuring consistency, quality and professionalism across all digital, marketing and event materials.

• Provide editorial and visual oversight of presentations, assets and digital content, ensuring that materials align with Climate Spring’s brand guidelines and messaging. 

• Review and provide feedback on copy and materials produced by junior team members, including newsletters, digital content, event materials and other promotional assets.

• Oversee the implementation and use of branded templates, brand guidelines and internal processes, ensuring consistency and quality of marketing, digital and event materials throughout. 

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and with our creative community to identify stories, opportunities and insights that support audience engagement and the promotion of Climate Spring’s work.

• Support senior colleagues with the creation of high-quality presentations and branded materials for meetings, presentations and speaking engagements.

• Contribute creative ideas and direction for digital campaigns and associated digital content.

Event management

• Lead the delivery of Climate Spring’s programme of online and in-person events, including timelines, invitations, registrations, logistics, suppliers, communications and post-event activity.

• Ensure events are delivered to a consistently high standard and provide an excellent attendee and participant experience.

• Support the delivery of Climate Spring community building events, in collaboration with internal teams.

• Work with the Head of Communications and Events to support Climate Spring’s presence at international film and TV festivals and industry markets.

Operational and team management

• Working with the Head of Communications to maintain and support clear workflows, processes and quality control for marketing, communications and event activity across the organisation. 

• Identify opportunities to improve ways of working and professionalise internal workflows for marketing, digital and events.

• Line-manage and support the professional development of the Communications and Marketing Coordinator.

• Act as a deputy for the Head of Communications and Events as required.

• Identify where specialist support is required, such as graphic design, photography or video production, and manage freelancers as required.

Essential experience and skills

• Experience in a marketing, campaigns or communications role, delivering measurable impact on organisational reach, profile or audience engagement.

• Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing activity across multiple channels, using insights and feedback to improve activity.

• Proven experience delivering successful online and in-person events from planning through to evaluation, ensuring a high-quality attendee or participant experience.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently, maintain effective workflows and deliver projects to a high standard.

• Experience growing and engaging communities around programmes, events or initiatives, demonstrating a strong understanding of audience engagement.

• Excellent written and editorial skills, with experience reviewing, editing and quality assuring content.

About the role

The role of Programme and Recruitment Coordinator sits at the heart of delivering our flagship Associate Programme. You’ll accompany individuals through the journey from candidates to Associates, support their onboarding and matching to placements, hold the logistics for their regular afternoon training sessions and project manage key milestones in the Programme such as the residential.

This role will work with our London and international core team and current Associates. You will be managed by the Co-Lead of On Purpose London, Head of Programme & Organisational Development, and work closely with the Programme Delivery Manager and Co-Lead, Head of Business Development & Community on specific workstreams.

In this role, you will:

Ensure Associates have an excellent experience throughout their time at On Purpose

• Support the delivery of Associate training sessions, which requires being physically present every Friday afternoon in central London to coordinate the session logistics, acting as venue and trainer liaison.
• Lead on communications with Associates, including acting as the first point of contact on many areas of the Programme
• Lead on the logistics of a range of in-person and online events, including induction, residentials and end of year celebration events
• Support the Programme Delivery Manager in other aspects of Programme delivery, including maintaining a library of learning resources, weekly communication with Associates and other ad hoc tasks.

Manage the logistics of the recruitment selection process for the Associate Programme

• Manage queries from candidates during the recruitment process
• Project manage review of Associate programme applications using AI and human application scoring systems, and participate in application scoring alongside the wider team
• Coordinate interview slots and lead on communications with interviewees
• Coordinate interviewers, leading on recruiting and communicating with interviewers, and coordinate the logistics of interviewing days
• Coordinate process for giving feedback to unsuccessful candidates and issuing offers

Manage onboarding process for the Associate Programme

• Lead on end to end communications with new Associates from issuing offer letters through onboarding checks and providing timely information about starting the programme
• Provide administrative support for our placement matching process, coordinating with the Head of Business Development and Marketing & Communications Manager to prepare materials, and run logistics of the process.
• Manage internal processes for onboarding new Associates including set up on tech systems, gathering information to add people to payroll and confirming right to work, and liaising with placement organisation’s HR teams as needed.

Support the smooth running of the organisation administratively

• Provide administrative support around finance and HR, including processing and generating invoices, and on-boarding new team members
• Manage office-related activities including liaising with the landlords of our serviced offices, ordering supplies, managing post etc
• Manage the two general email mailboxes and respond to inquiries
• Onboard new Mentors, Coaches and Partners to our community and help keep our CRM system up to date

Support organisational improvement initiatives

• Support On Purpose’s impact management practice, including collecting and maintaining data and feedback
• Support On Purpose to develop our community, including sending communications to partners and supporting community events
• Support On Purpose to expand our outreach to placement organisations, e.g. by identifying and communicating with potential organisations.

About the Role

The Policy and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in helping NCB drive positive change for children and young people across the UK, by supporting the delivery key elements of policy, public affairs, and communications work. This role supports the development and delivery of high-quality and impactful policy outputs, communications and campaigns, to enhance our visibility and impact, bringing lived and learned experiences to the heart of our influencing work.

• Contribute to the development of high-quality consultation responses, position statements, and briefings for civil servants, MPs, and other stakeholders.

iniva is seeking an experienced, thoughtful and collaborative Website & Communications Manager to join our team at a pivotal moment for the organisation. The role sits at the heart of Living Legacies: Collaboration, Community and Radicality, a four-year National Lottery Heritage Fund project that activates iniva’s archive and connects it with communities through exhibitions, events, podcasts, oral histories and digital resources. Working at iniva is dynamic, creative and purpose driven. This part-time role (3 days per week) is offered as a fixed-term contract over four years, with responsibilities evolving across the project lifecycle — from strategy and planning in the early stages to website redevelopment, major public programmes and legacy outputs in later phases. The Website & Communications Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and wider team to support clear communication, shared understanding and joined-up audience engagement. The role plays a key part in shaping how audiences encounter Living Legacies and iniva more broadly, ensuring communications are inclusive, accessible and grounded in the organisation’s values. IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role would suit a practical and organised communications professional with strong writing and digital skills. Role Purpose

The Website & Communications Manager will lead iniva’s communications for a four-year fixed-term
project (3 days per week), with responsibilities evolving across the project — from setting up systems
and plans in Year 1 to delivering public activity, website redevelopment and legacy outputs in later
phases.

Focusing on Living Legacies, the postholder will lead communications activity to grow and diversify
audiences while maintaining strong engagement with existing audiences. They will manage a small
communications team, including the Communications Coordinator, and coordinate different
freelancers over the life of the project, such as a PR Consultant, Website Developer and Podcast
Producer to deliver clear, consistent and values-led communication across the organisation.
Working closely with a freelance Website Developer and internal teams, the postholder will oversee
the redevelopment of iniva’s website, ensuring it is accessible, user-friendly and supports the
project’s digital content and long-term needs. They will also work collaboratively with the Senior
Fundraising Manager, Project Manager and Project Curator to ensure joined-up, timely storytelling that
reflects the aims of the project and supports audience engagement.

Project Specific Duties

The duties below reflect the role across its four-year term. Activity in Years 1–2 will focus on
communications planning, audience development, team coordination and early digital work. Website
redevelopment (Years 2–3) and press activity for exhibitions (Years 3–4) will increase in later phases.

Communications Strategy, Planning and Audience Development

• To review, refine and deliver the Living Legacies Communications Plan in collaboration with the wider project team, ensuring alignment with audience development goals, legacy planning and funder expectations.
• To lead audience development activity for Living Legacies, balancing growth and diversification with the retention of iniva’s existing audiences.
• To ensure consistent application of iniva and Living Legacies brand, tone of voice and values across all communications outputs.

Website Redevelopment & Digital Experience

• To commission and manage promotional materials, including digital and print assets, working with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and other freelance creatives to create compelling content that reflects the project's values and reaches diverse audiences.

Arrhythmia Alliance and its two sister charities (AF Association and STARS – Syncope Trust) is one of the world's leading heart rhythm charities, delivering internationally recognised educational programmes, medical conferences, awareness campaigns patient educational events, awareness programmes and exhibiting at congresses to promote and deliver our work.

Working alongside and reporting to the HRC Manager, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of healthcare professional conferences, patient education events, our programmes, awareness campaigns and digital programmes across the UK and internationally.

You will provide day-to-day project coordination and administrative support to ensure programmes and events are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Event & Programme Coordination

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of conferences, meetings, webinars, exhibitions and events.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time position with the working week consisting of Monday to Thursday 9.00am–5.30pm with 1 hour lunch break, and Friday 9.00am-5.00pm with

● Facilitate the courses in a welcoming & professional manner, creating an environment where women feel safe, can learn & grow and build strong relationships across the cohort.

● Work closely with Progression Support Workers to ensure trainees transition smoothly between programme phases. ● Regularly monitor risks associated with trainees & escalate any safeguarding concerns via Luminary’s Safeguarding Protocols.

Programme Marketing and Recruitment:

● Coordinate the recruitment of trainees on to the programme, including assisting the Senior Programme Manager to assess suitability in line with Luminary’s referral criteria. 

● Coordinate and conduct the application process, interviews and onboarding in a trauma informed way, creating the safety survivors need to take a huge step in their recovery by exploring this opportunity with Luminary.

● Promote the programme and liaise with referral agencies to successfully generate enough referrals to fill all trainee spaces available.

● Assist the Senior Programme Manager to develop strategic partnerships with relevant organisations in the charity sector and local government, to market the programme and attract referrals.

● Work in collaboration with the Baking Teachers and Progression Support team to carefully onboard trainees, setting the culture of learning and communicating expectations to set them up to successfully complete the programme.

Line Management:

● Line manage a small team of Teaching Assistants who are all Luminary Programme graduates. Ensuring they are well supported, trained to a high standard and delivering Luminary’s vision of vocational training for women.

Training Management:

● Assist the Senior Programme Manager in evaluating the services Luminary offers for: reporting to funders, completing new funding applications and internal monitoring.

● Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete training records, including tracking and monitoring learner progress and development to support high accreditation pass rates and good retention.

● Contribute your experience of best practice to shape the way Luminary operates effectively

● Undertake any additional duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by the Senior Programme Manager.

● To take reasonable care for the health and safety of learners in accordance with legislation, and government guidelines.

Person Profile Necessary:

● Experienced group facilitator, minimum two years of proven experience

● Experience of training within non traditional learning environments with disadvantaged groups

● Person-centred approach to learning and support that is trauma-informed including proven experience of managing group dynamics and behavioural conduct in a learning setting

● Comfortable providing clear and compassionate feedback to support the learning environment and trainee development

● Experience of and ability to plan, write, deliver and evaluate training sessions for employability programmes with knowledge of meeting the quality standards related to learning

● Personable, patient & resilient with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

● Experience setting boundaries and investing in own mental wellbeing whilst supporting others

● Organised with record keeping, time-keeping, and communication

● Motivated & hard working and able to learn new things quickly

● Able to multitask effectively with the tools to cope well in a fast paced environment

This role will represent the voice of our network and the end users they support, developing and implementing strategies at In Kind Direct to increase value and engagement, and strengthen our social impact together.

Key Responsibilities

Insight and Evidence
· Represent the voice of our network and the end-users they support in our planning, evaluations and decision-making
· Lead on network insights gathering, data analysis and visualisation, and interpreting findings into conclusions and recommendations, using for example, surveys, CRM data, Network Ambassador online meetings and Network Insights Panel consultations
· Proactively contribute to improvements in the customer journey for network partners – from registration through to fulfilment
· Support our collaborative ways of working with the VCSE sector and other infrastructure organisations to meet immediate need, deepen impact and support longer-term solutions
· Help scope, test and implement CRM enhancements to improve how we gather insights and measure impact
· Source, analyse and share relevant external social research and sector intelligence to help ensure organisational decisions and programmes are also informed by external insights, emerging trends and best practices

Network Engagement
· Develop and implement strategies to increase network engagement including visits, volunteering, webinars and spokesperson activities, that inspire our network to tell the story of our impact together
· Lead on network recruitment and retention
· Day to day management, evaluation and reporting for funded projects that use insights, research, and partnerships to get the right products to more people through network partners
· Test, implement and embed digital asset management tools and processes
· Act as an ambassador for In Kind Direct at external events
· Line manage the Charity Network Coordinator

Network Support and Communications
· Oversee and help produce a regular newsletter and ad hoc emails to involve the network more in advocacy, impact storytelling and direct action with us
· Oversee and help produce other network communications and content including service emails and FAQs to improve the service they experience from us
· Oversee network registration and renewal processes and comms, and act as a point of escalation for our Customer Service team
· Manage and develop our network compliance policies and processes, safeguarding quality and integrity while driving efficiency and systems-enabled automation. Act as a point of escalation
· Ongoing relationship and community building with network partners, including regular proactive outreach, visits and communications
· Help develop standards for network experience, value delivery and service quality in collaboration with our Customer Service team

What We're Looking For
· Knowledge of the VCSE sector and current challenges, ideally with a pre-existing network
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage budgets, mitigate risks and meet deadlines
· Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage customer/membership information and generate insights
· Proficiency in using Excel, survey and data analysis tools to generate insights and measure impact
· Some experience of line management of volunteers or paid staff
· Able to work well as part of a team, but also a self-starter that's able to take initiative while working with little supervision
· Numerate with good attention to detail
· Excellent written communication skills
· Understanding of data privacy, protection and consent for marketing and communications
