Treasury and Cash Manager | 12-months | £500 - £600 per day (Inside IR35) | UK - Hybrid

For a large, complex international organisation which operates in more than 80 currencies with over 80 banking partners in 100+ countries, we're recruiting an Interim Cash, Risk and Treasury Manager. Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, this role will implement all aspects of corporate treasury policy, processes, controls, analysis and investment strategies including cash management, financing and investment activities, risk management, and loss prevention. The interim Treasury Manager will build relationships with banks and will identify ways to improve in-country banking and repatriation of cash, including liquidity, cash forecasting, and debt management.

Main Duties:

• Manage the banking platforms and processes including the European zero balancing cash pool
• Optimise cash-flow and improve cash flow forecasting across the business, optimising investment income and work in partnership with Shared Services, and Country Finance teams
• Support the identification and releasing of trapped cash overseas, working with in-country colleagues and the Tax and Status team as well as Financial Control
• Manage the Foreign Currency liquidity requirements
• Support the development and implementation of Treasury Management Policy and controls
• Support the development and implementation of long-term investment strategy aiming to optimise deposit interest income
• Develop partnerships with banks and financial institutions to ensure all banking arrangements are fit for purpose
• Lead and support change in treasury activities and provide business units with advice on commercial matters

Person Specification:

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or ACT
• Strong experience of treasury management
• Experience of assessing and managing business-related financial risks including FX, interest rates and counterparty risk management
• Management of FX exposures and strong understanding of money market instruments
• Strong experience of dealing platforms, ISDA and loan documentation
• Experience of working with different regions on merchant services and payment provider issues
• Strong experience of cash activities including security and monitoring cash investments
• TMS experience and use of 360T is desirable

Black or Minoritised Ethnic children and young people are less visible and represented across Barnardo's work – in our Children's Services, and in our UK voice and influence work. This role will help us:

• Address ongoing feedback about the need for greater representation of Black or Minoritised Ethnic young people within B-Amplified, while also strengthening engagement from children's services to support pathways for a longer-term, stronger charity-wide approach to inclusive engagement.
• Identify and understand barriers within children's services that prevent meaningful engagement with Black or Minoritised Ethnic young people. This will help inform V&I, SEEN, and the wider organisation's approach to anti-racist practice, and excellent and inclusive voice and influence work.

Specifically, this role will:

• Lead on the recruitment, coordination and support of young people signed up as B-Amplified Network members – the role will be the dedicated member of staff to onboard, sustain engagement, and successfully support young people to transition and exit to other opportunities.
• Support the SEEN Ambassadors, and coordinate their engagement in the wider B-Amplified Network offer – bringing them more coherently into the wider voice and influence programme of work, and ensure there is a consistent approach to monitoring, evaluation, recording and reporting for this group of young people.

• Live close to a national rail station and/or airport – as regular travel across the UK will be required, including overnight visits (1-2 times per month).

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC Children in Need occupies a cherished place in the hearts of the British public and is the UK’s largest independent funder across the children’s sector. We hold a significant voice on children’s issues and play a powerful role in improving the lives of children and young people.

This role is central to that mission. You will be primarily responsible for the development and successful delivery of the ‘We Move FWD’ Fund—a £10 million, 10-year commitment to address systemic racism and issues faced by Black children and young people. To date, over £4 million has been awarded to 66 projects across the UK, with grantmaking decisions led by young Black advisors.

Under the co-leadership of Alex Holmes and Mercy Shibemba, the Fund has expanded to include narrative shifts, storytelling, and celebrating Black joy and imagination. As interim Co-Director (covering parental leave), you will build on this foundational work and lead the strategic management of an additional programme focused on polarisation and division. You will ensure both programmes are aligned with BBC Children in Need’s charitable ambition and strategy, and that their operational delivery drives meaningful impact.

In addition to implementing key strands of our long-term strategy, you’ll spearhead a new fund focused on polarisation and division. This is a substantial opportunity to amplify impact, build legacy, and ensure our funding reaches those most in need.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

Work collaboratively with Trustees, Executive team, and staff to provide strategic direction for both Funds.
Deliver and further develop strategic plans aligned with the Theory of Change for grantmaking and broader impact.
Ensure each Fund has a clear impact strategy linked to funding activities and measurable indicators.
Develop new opportunities and partnerships to advance Fund objectives.
Ensure equitable grantmaking processes that effectively support organisations serving Black children and young people.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Proven leadership and management experience, with a strong organisational approach and ability to build inclusive, innovative team cultures.
Substantial experience in developing and delivering grantmaking programmes/major partnerships, including broader impact initiatives.
Ability to lead in complex, evolving environments, with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Deep understanding of systemic racism and race equity, with a demonstrable commitment to anti-racism.
Lived experience working with and for Black communities in the UK.

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

Experience in narrative change or storytelling initiatives.
Familiarity with youth-led programme design and co-creation.
Knowledge of polarisation and division issues in the UK context.
Experience working with media platforms or public engagement campaigns.
Strategic experience in legacy-building or long-term impact programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a pipeline of new philanthropic giving opportunities by researching, identifying and cultivating philanthropic supporters (£1k+) with the potential to give major gifts and multi-year support

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Communications and Networks will amplify The Politics Project’s voice, build strategic partnerships and strengthen collaboration across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You will lead on communications, stakeholder engagement and the continued development of the Democracy Classroom Network.

You will oversee a team responsible for communications, partnerships and events, providing leadership and guidance to ensure clear messaging, impactful storytelling and strong, coordinated engagement across the sector. The post holder will combine strategic thinking with strong operational delivery, managing both the external profile of the organisation and the networks that underpin its reach and influence.

Communications

• Develop and lead The Politics Project’s communications strategy to raise visibility and strengthen reputation.

Fundraising and portfolio management:

• Responsible for delivering major gifts from HNWIs, philanthropists, corporates, foundations in support of WHO’s strategic priorities in the US— particularly in major markets such as the Bay Area, Seattle, and Southern California.

• Manage a portfolio of 60-80 prospective donors (250K to 5 million USD capacity) and develop them across all stages of cultivation.

Job Purpose:
The Operations Assistant provides support to the HR and Operations Manager by taking day to day responsibility, under guidance, for various facilities, safety and administrative processes, including HR administration, as well as responsiblity for locking/unlocking of meeting rooms, routine health and safety tasks and other matters that contribute to making the office a pleasant and functional environment in which to work.

We are seeking a part-time Money Skills Coordinator to help us deliver our ambitious plans to equip more individuals with money skills. The primary purpose of this role is to manage Crosslight’s money skills courses that are attended by the local community as well as our debt advice clients. These are delivered online or in-person in a range of different locations across our network.

The role holder will take ownership of the planning and running of our money skills workshops, including setting them up on our systems. They will also act as a ‘champion’ for the courses, promoting them internally and externally, including through community engagement and outreach in different locations. And they will have the opportunity to deliver some of our workshops, as well as supporting and equipping our volunteers to do so to a high standard.

The Principal Gifts Manager is a vital member of the Development team at the WHO Foundation, responsible for advancing strategic fundraising and engagement goals. • Excellent knowledge of best practice in philanthropic fundraising applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

• Strong experience in health partnership with health emergencies and corporate partners is also welcome

• Thorough knowledge of IT systems, database management and Salesforce.

• Experience working in an international organization and/or in international development within a complex stakeholder environment

• Knowledge of US philanthropic networks and organizations

• Self motivated, target driven and aptitude to work with flexibility and autonomy both individually and as part of a multi-stakeholder team

• Comfort with and/or experience of operating in a lean, start-up and remote environment

• Excellent attention to detail and applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Experience of applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

• Fluency in English (excellent writing skills)

• Politically astute with a tactful and diplomatic communication style

• Proficient at developing relationships and influencing and negotiating at a senior management and board level, internally and externally
