Overview of the Role

Your daily work will include creating and coordinating content, campaigns, projects and events that will support, connect and amplify community gardeners across England and Wales. As Community Gardening Movement Builder (England & Wales) you will be responsible for:
- Leading the digital and in-person convening of community gardeners across England and Wales, to increase the engagement of community gardens, support groups to develop and thrive, and build the platform of the community gardening movement.
- Mapping key stakeholders, campaigns and movement-building activity underway in sectors and spaces relevant to community gardening, keeping colleagues up to date with developments, and flagging challenges and opportunities.
- With the Community Partnerships & Networks Manager, building strong relationships with community gardening groups, partner organisations and key external stakeholders in the policy sphere – such as local authorities, mayoralties and devolved governments.
- Working closely with colleagues in the Communities team and other teams across the RHS to plan, commission and platform a wide range of digital content that will encourage, inspire and enable the community gardening movement.
- Working closely with RHS colleagues, partner organisations and community gardeners to commission, collate and promote data, research and stories that will help amplify the voices of community gardeners and build the case for policy change.
About you
You will be able to show:
- A passion for growing, nature, and the role that community gardening can play in bringing people together and addressing social, economic and environmental challenges.
- A track record of experience in a movement building, policy, strategy, public affairs or external communications role (or the ability to demonstrate similar levels of knowledge if you have not worked in one of these specialisms before).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present and creatively engage different audiences.
- Adept interpersonal skills, with experience of building external relationships and collaborating with a wide range of contacts.
- Strong digital literacy, and an interest in utilising a wide range of digital tools to connect, communicate and convene.
- An eye for detail, with the ability to analyse, interpret and present complex data.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to use your initiative to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to work as an integral member of a small, high-performing team, and to work collaboratively and with agility across the team and the wider organisation.

The Role

Main Duties
- Build and manage high-level relationships across government, academia, industry, and more as the Institute’s first point of contact.

- Lead a refreshed engagement strategy for universities, starting with the Turing University Network.
- Develop and deliver a stakeholder strategy to identify new collaboration opportunities across the AI and tech landscape.
- Conduct horizon scanning, sharing insights and trends to inform Institute strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support shared stakeholder engagement goals.
- Coordinate stakeholder tracking across teams and create mechanisms to streamline interactions.

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.
Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. ABOUT THE ROLE
As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time.
Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community.
It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising (approx. 80%)

Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving.

Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals.

Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities.

Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed.

Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations.

The service provides social and learning opportunities for women and families alongside meeting their immediate needs.
Job:Women & Families VAWG Specialist Service Manager

The Role
To manage and develop the delivery of the CJO VAWG service for African heritage women and families escaping violence and its impact through advocacy and therapeutic services. You will be responsible for managing your team of domestic violence workers whilst working synergistically with our clinical lead and social work support to achieve the best outcomes for the women and families who access our service.
As a member of the senior management team, you will have a strategic focus and lead on safeguarding to protect women and their children. You will have both an internal and external focus of influence with local and national stakeholders including statutory services and funders to ensure a co-ordinated community response and service for African heritage women and families.
About You
As a strong communicator, you will bring your understanding and know how to support and navigate the criminal justice systems in relation to VAWG. Able to work independently and prioritise a busy workload. An effective communicator who is innovative with experience of managing, growing, and developing your team. Key Objectives Within the Overall Purpose of the Post:
The management of CJOs VAWG women and family’s specialist service ensuring it meets the needs of African Heritage women and families, is contract compliant with the service specification and the charity’s policies and procedures.
- To lead and effectively manage the finance in line with the grant and annual budget.
- Lead on and participate in national, local discussions, consultation, research, monitoring and evaluation, needs assessment, collaboration, networks, to sustain and grow the women and family specialist service and any other activity relevant to deliver the service.
- Represent the service and organisation at both internal and external meetings and within multi-agency partnerships.
- Lead on and facilitate monitoring and evaluation activities, which supports the voices of service user and their data, to inform legislation, policy, and practice, identifying synergies across the organisation’s work as well as opportunities to produce and share learning.
- Facilitate a range of training for; professionals, service users, staff, volunteers, external audience to improve practice and service delivery.
- Communications - directly produce, facilitate publicity and marketing material for the service, appropriately using social media e-leaflets, paper booklets etc to increase knowledge, awareness, skills, and the impact of VAWG on the lives of women and families.
- Ensure written language is to good quality standard including emails and all other record keeping and documentation required of CJOs work.
- Ensure that the service is delivered within safeguarding practice and safe standards as per our quality mark.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Contribute towards and/or write comprehensive reports that may include data, narratives, and case studies as required by funders, commissioners, CJO and others.
- Oversee the management of the Oasis database undertaking quarterly audits and monthly monitoring of data collection for performance management of the service.
- Dip sample and audit case files as held on Oasis, ensuring staff are recording information and delivering services in line with Imkaan and other quality standards.
- Oversee the consistent use of the ‘Safe Lives’ risk assessment tool, alongside other developed risk mitigation templates.
- Ensure staff appropriately represent women and advocate on their behalf when dealing with outside agencies such as the Housing department, Police, DSS, Solicitors, Social Services, Health Professionals, and all other relevant agencies.
- Document monitoring ensure that it is provided in the agreed and acceptable formats for the VAWG women and Families Specialist Service using standard templates.
Management of Service Finance
- Work closely with the finance team to oversee the income and expenditure of the service in line with all policies and procedures of the organisation, contract, policies and procedures relevant to CJOs funded work.
- Ensure that small grants woman receive are appropriate working closely with finance, social work students and support worker(s) or volunteer.
- Take full ownership of strategic fundraising for the service, identifying funding sources and making direct applications, alongside the Director and fundraising team.
Wellbeing
- Ensure the service is delivered within CJOs Community based approach to Wellbeing and that a therapeutic approach is embedded in your practice.
- Attend regular clinical supervision
- Ensure that your staff team attend regular clinical supervision.
- Lead and manage the Thinking Space facilitator and bi-weekly debriefs alongside working synergistically with CJOs Clinical Lead.
Operational
- Along with your team, to always work in the best interest of CJO and to avoid any action that may bring CJO and or its activities into disrepute.
- To undertake any other duty commensurate with the position of Service Lead and as required by your line manager.
- To engage in one’s own performance management through training and development as required.
- As a member of the senior management team work to promote CJO’s purpose, values, and our influence through evidence-based solutions to improving the lives of vulnerable women and their family experiencing VAWG/trauma and to act-up/step in the absence of members of the senior management team or staff.
- Regularly supervise, appraise, and support the development of staff and volunteers addressing challenges and implement necessary support measures to improve performance with staff, external contractors, and agencies.
- Participate in regular supervision, induction, training, and team meetings.
- Develop appropriate partnerships, collaborations, and communications to enable our family support and gender-based violence services to be seen as a leader in its field.

The interim Treasury Manager will build relationships with banks and will identify ways to improve in-country banking and repatriation of cash, including liquidity, cash forecasting, and debt management.
Main Duties:
- Manage the banking platforms and processes including the European zero balancing cash pool
- Optimise cash-flow and improve cash flow forecasting across the business, optimising investment income and work in partnership with Shared Services, and Country Finance teams
- Support the identification and releasing of trapped cash overseas, working with in-country colleagues and the Tax and Status team as well as Financial Control

Project Overview
The Annunciation Marble Arch has received Development Funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for the “Sharing Our Future” project. We seek to appoint a Heritage Manager to oversee and co-ordinate the Development Phase, which is set to run for 18 months.A Design Team, QS, and specialist consultants will need to be competitively appointed to complete a list of required document/studies for the Delivery application. Design development needs to be completed to RIBA Stage 3, Faculty, planning, and consents need to be in place, and all partnership funding must be raised or pledged.
The Annunciation Marble Arch is a large Grade II* listed building designed by Sir Walter Tapper, a leading 20thC architect. It is on Historic England’s ‘At Risk’ Register.The building is hampered by several problems and barriers.The project will make inroads into improving the church’s condition through repair and conservation of the fabric. There will be a focus on the deteriorating nave and baptistry roof, addressing windows and high-level stonework, with re-ordering and access improvements.
The church is a popular and increasingly well-used church close to Oxford Street in London’s West End. The “Sharing our Future” project focuses on creating a hub to benefit the D/deaf community with whom the church is now continuously in dialogue.Activities have been piloted and links forged for a two-year activity plan directed towards providing skills training and other heritage activities for the D/deaf, targeting c.2,000 D/deaf people annually.The Heritage Manager will therefore work closely with a part-time Community Support Worker (CSW) whose primary role will be to ensure the project is delivered with a seamless overlay of the participation of the D/deaf community. The BSL qualified Interpreter will provide communication support at a range of meetings and events to participants with varying degrees of hearing loss. The Heritage Manager will also work closely with all project stakeholders and partners, including, primarily, the Project Activity Planners.

The successful candidate will provide leadership for this BSL-focused Project reporting to the PCC, which may delegate line management responsibilities to the Chair of the Steering Group Committee involved in strategic planning, management, execution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.In order to achieve the goals of The Annunciation, he/she will oversee design development to RIBA Stage 3 and oversee the preparation of key documents.
The Heritage Manager will be a strategic thinker with an understanding of the planning and delivery of projects funded by the Heritage Fund. They should have a strong background in project co-ordination and possess the ability to move adeptly between big picture thinking and day-to-day operations, where it will be necessary, for example, to process his/her own admin.
The Heritage Manager will be comfortable working in a start-up environment, being able to demonstrate experience of extensive community engagement, as well as an understanding of and empathy with the ambitions and vision of the Annunciation, Marble Arch and the needs of a Grade 11* listed building. They will have a strong commitment to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. We are also looking for a candidate that has experience of working with the D/deaf community preferably,and will therefore be well positioned to work successfully to integrate key partnerships with the BSL community with the help of the specialist Community Support Worker.
The task will be to ensure the project is delivered within time and to budget in accordance with an agreed programme, budget, and checklist of deliverables, as well as working closely with all project stakeholders and partners, including the D/deaf community.
Tasks
·Full compliance with the requirements of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, ensuring that all conditions are met.
·To become acquainted with all project documentation and acquire a sufficient knowledge of the detailed complexities of the objectives of the Project to be able to oversee it to a successful conclusion.
·To be proficient in Excel, and be able to ensure budgets and cashflows are kept up to date establishing an effective cost management system to approve consultant payments/ invoices and maintaining a record of expenditure.
·To maintain a project risk register updated monthly in conjunction with the Design Team and other consultants.
·To follow closely a detailed Project Grant Chart, encompassing all Project milestones.
·To establish other project management systems and procedures that ensure the smooth running of the Project, presenting them to the Project Steering Group for approval and then implementing them.
·To ensure all members of the Project Steering Group are aware of the tasks and responsibilities attributed to them and also to the Design Team.
·To establish a meeting structure, laying down procedures for convening, chairing, attendance, function, frequency and responsibility for recording of meetings and circulation of information (Design Team and Project Steering Group meetings) and to act as the focal point of contact between the Project Board and the Design Team.
·To establish effective communications and a clear and visible distribution of information. Of particular importance is a requirement to have regular meetings with the Chair of the PCC and the Sharing Our Future Steering Group Chair.
·To participate in regular Design Team meetings to monitor progress and identify any problems or issues.
·To develop a Project Change Control strategy, establishing an appropriate method for managing and controlling change on the project.
·To check that all appointed consultants and contractors fulfil their contractual obligations.
·To work with the BSL Community Support Worker to build effective relationships with BSL stakeholders and partners associated with the Project.
·To procure all consultants required, compiling tender enquiries, identifying possible tenderers, agreeing tender lists, managing the consultant tender process, coordinating the evaluation of tender submissions and compiling tender reports.
·To ensure consultant contracts/ letters of appointment are prepared, providing feedback to unsuccessful tenderers if required.
·To coordinate and review all financial matters with the appointed Quantity Surveyor and Annunciation Treasurer and to ensure that all necessary Heritage Fund financial requirements and conditions are met.
·To prepare the R2 Delivery application to the National Lottery Heritage fund
