The salary for this role is approximately £55,000-£60,000, dependent on expereiunce. About the role
Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.
In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years.
Responsibilities
- Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
- Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
- Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. Lead on cultivating relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees, with the aim of establishing additional high-value funding relationships.
- Work proactively across the organisation, including cross-culturally, to coordinate, develop, and deliver a high standard of compelling project proposals and reports ready for submission to donors whilst ensuring excellent grant/contract management to existing donor relationships.
- Actively participate in the networks surrounding trusts and foundations, sharing information, insights, opportunities, and fundraising materials produced.
- Represent Sightsavers and/or support staff delegations at conferences and networks to engage with and cultivate new donor relationships.
- Contribute to team, departmental, and wider organisational systems development and initiatives.

Jobholder Requirements
Essential
- Relevant experience working in the charity sector, ideally in international development.
- Experience of long-term grant/contract management of significant funders/clients.
- Proven success in personally cultivating new relationships with prospective donors/clients and maintaining relationships with existing donors/clients.
- Demonstrative experience of excellent written skills, including proposals, bids, and reports for external audiences.
- Proven success in creating successful funding proposals.
- Knowledge of good fundraising practice.
- Experience of in-person networking at conferences or face-to-face meetings with senior trusts and foundations staff/board.
- Understanding of and interest in charity sector and international development issues.
- First-class presentation and writing skills, including preparation of proposals, project budgets, and reports with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel, and experience of using fundraising databases.
- Capable of relating well to a wide range of people.
- Strong listening and negotiating skills.
- Research experience, including the development of engagement plans.
- Experience of in-person networking at conferences.

We have two exciting opportunities to work within the growing and ambitious Individual Giving team at Alzheimer’s Society. These roles are both within the Committed Giving team and are pivotal in helping us to reach our ambitious goal of doubling our income by 2030.
One role will be responsible for the campaign management of our Big Win Weekly Lottery. The other role will be responsible for the campaign management of our Regular Giving programme. About the role
This new role will be part of our Supporter Engagement team, which includes Special and Challenge Events Fundraising, Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Care. Our Special Events programme has expanded significantly in recent years, and we
have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. As part of this, we organise a diverse range of fundraising events, including a Comedy Night, Garden Party, Sports Quiz, Carol Service and Gala dinner.
Working closely with the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Special Events Officer will play a key role in developing and managing our special events programme. This includes overseeing multiple aspects of event planning and execution, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to produce high-quality event materials and ensuring that every event runs smoothly. Additionally, you will help manage key relationships and maximise fundraising income.
A key focus of this role will be leading the organisation of our annual Carol Service at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, while also exploring opportunities to develop a new special event that diversifies our income streams and broadens our audience.
You will also stay ahead of industry trends, conducting competitor research and analysis to ensure our events remain innovative, competitive, and appealing to supporters.
Main duties
- Supporting the co-ordination and delivery of our special events programme.
- Manage the core elements of special events delivery such as the co-ordination of auction prizes, guest lists, guest requirements, admin and communications.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to produce event materials including event programmes.
- Support the Philanthropy Officer with the organisation of our annual cultivation event.
- Support the Head of Supporter Engagement to identify opportunities for income growth from special events with the view to develop a new Special event within the portfolio.
- Ensure that appropriate and compliant risk assessment, health and safety procedures, protocols and policies are implemented for all special events.
Key responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Operations Coordinator Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
- To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.

This hospice has been caring for local people since 1984. Currently in year three of a three-year strategy that has seen significant fundraising growth, the team now seek a Community and Events Lead (maternity cover) and Prospectus are excited to lead the search. About the role:
