In this role, you will drive UNICEF UK's communications and media efforts for public fundraising and brand campaigns such as Soccer Aid for UNICEF, as well as advocacy campaigns, and humanitarian emergencies. You'll manage relationships with UK media and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver ambitious, impactful media coverage that supports our income and influence goals across the Public Relations and News and Emergencies teams.
To succeed, you'll need experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating media strategies, and crafting effective communication materials to secure consumer and news coverage in key mass media outlets. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with UK journalists and stakeholders. Westway Trust is seeking a dedicated Head of Operations with a minimum of 5 years’ senior leadership or operational management experience in a multi-disciplinary organisation, ideally within a community, charitable, social enterprise or values-led setting.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum 5 years’ senior leadership or operational management experience in a multi-disciplinary organisation, ideally within a community, charitable, social enterprise or values-led setting.
- Proven ability to lead, guide and motivate diverse teams and to support the professional growth of those who report to you as a line manager.
- Demonstrable experience of good practice approaches to conflict resolution, working in collaboration with others and encouraging honesty, transparency and open ways of working across teams that benefit the organisation’s effectiveness and efficiency.
- Excellent planning, organisation and performance management skills.
- Excellent writing and reporting skills, including the ability to summarise complex data and issues for decision-makers.

Desirable Experience, Skills and Attributes:

What the job involves
We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Manager to successfully plan and deliver major strategic campaigns and key brand moments, taking the lead on day-to-day project management to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive.

We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment – ideally within a community or events context. You’ll bring excellent organisational skills and experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, making sure we hit our KPIs and maximise fundraising income. What the job involves
We’re seeking a Website Content Officer to join our Integrated Marketing and Media team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing and improving the content on our website, making sure it’s clear, accessible and meets the needs of our diverse audience.
Acting as the ‘voice of the user’, you’ll be responsible for publishing updates via our content management system (CMS), maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and accessibility across the site. You’ll oversee key areas, including the homepage, keeping information accurate, up to date, and easy to navigate.
You’ll work closely with teams across the Prostate Cancer UK to help shape their messages for the web, offering advice, guidance, and training where needed. Day to day, you’ll manage content schedules, review pages to identify improvements, and create or edit content to keep the site fresh and effective. You’ll also use digital analytics tools to monitor performance and suggest ways we can enhance the user experience.
As part of the Digital Marketing and Channels team, you’ll work closely with our email and social media teams to ensure our owned channels are aligned. You’ll lead on the delivery of our regular ‘News and Views’ articles in conjunction with our Strategic Communications team, and you’ll work closely with our Web Operations team to help identify and test new website features and fix technical issues.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content to serve a specific audience. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.

A good understanding of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. Working alongside the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising, as the Assistant Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising, your role will focus on driving key fundraising and stewardship activities. Leading on delivering a multi-channel acquisition and retentions legacy marketing programme aimed at increasing the number of In Memory donors and legacy supporters who will leave a future gift in their Will.
You will line manage two staff, play a wider leadership role within the team, and champion legacy giving across the organisation, along with strategic planning and budget management, and ensuring suppliers deliver against SLAs.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Alongside the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising, lead on the overall strategy and budget focused on growing the supporter pipeline, increasing In Memory income, and protecting future Legacy income.
