This role is essential in our drive for evidencing the impact of the work we do. You will lead and manage a large-scale, multi-organisation piece of research aiming to highlight the impact of our programmes. You will play a key role in ensuring the main research project and any supplementary research projects are delivered efficiently and ethically. You will use data and evidence to inform practice and work closely with the Programme Specialist for Pilots and the wider Quality and Impact Team as required. Additionally, you will project manage additional cross-organisational projects as required in support of our growing charity.
This is role is a fixed-term contract for 18 months.

Key Responsibilities
· You will be accountable for the oversight of the main research and any supplementary research projects from initiation to completion.
· You will collaborate with the Programme Specialist for Pilots and the Associate Director of Business Development to ensure delivery of the research and ensure alignment and fidelity to the research plan.
· You will work with the Head of Quality and Impact and Finance Team to ensure that the project/s meet agreed objectives, timelines and budgets.
· You will support the development of project documentation.
· You will deliver reports and presentations as required both internally and externally from DFN Project SEARCH to share information regarding the research project.
· You will be accountable for collecting, analysing and reporting on data that is relevant to the organisation.

The team
You’ll join our International Energy Access team, primarily working on the multimillion-pound Efficiency for Access Coalition including the Low Energy Inclusive Appliances (LEIA) programme that aims to double the efficiency and halve the cost of off- and weak-grid appliances in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. This programme is funded by UK aid, from the UK government via the Transforming Energy Access platform, and IKEA Foundation, and delivered by Energy Saving Trust in partnership with CLASP.
As part of the International Energy Access team, you’ll contribute to meaningful initiatives that have real-world impact on improving lives and livelihoods, while helping to address the climate emergency. This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented, dedicated and inclusive team to deliver this vital programme of work.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Head of Audience Strategy to join on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role working full-time, 35 hours per week, with occasional travel required for team and stakeholder meetings and events.
The last few years have seen unprecedented growth in the public profile of dementia, driven in part by the growing size, impact and ambition of Alzheimer’s Society – the UK’s leading dementia charity. We now need to ensure that everyone who needs dementia support today can access it, while improving our ability to attract, engage and retain the donors, volunteers and campaigners who so generously give money, time and voice to deliver enduring change. Crucial to this is strategic audience development: driving growth by being clearer about who we need to engage, why, and how.
As Head of Audience Strategy, you will develop a comprehensive strategy that delivers a step-change in the maturity and effectiveness of audience insight at Alzheimer’s Society. Built on a range of high-quality insight, data analysis and modelling, the strategy will reflect the evolving relationship to dementia and our Society among the public and other key external stakeholders.
You will work to identify the priority groups we need to engage to drive sustainable growth across all areas of engagement. You and your team will support teams to develop acquisition and engagement strategies which feel truly audience-led, orchestrating warm supporter communications and journeys which ensure we’re growing the right audiences to meet our objectives.
A priority will be ensuring that teams have the right tools to understand, segment and target their priority audiences. You will also be responsible for supporting teams to generate high-quality evaluations of activity in relation to audience goals – using these to capture new insights that improve our overall understanding and demonstrate the value of your team. At all times, you’ll act as an articulate champion of the power of audience strategy. You will lead senior conversations across the Society about what we know and wish to achieve with our audiences and constantly seek opportunities for your team to support others to enhance their impact and deepen their engagement.
We have provisionally scheduled the first stage of interviews for this role to take place on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th November.
About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience in developing and implementing audience or engagement strategies, and extensive experience of diverse qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analysis. You will also be able to demonstrate proven ability to synthesise these insights and apply them to all levels of the marketing funnel, across cold and warm audiences.
Crucially, you’ll be able to build positive relationships, influence key stakeholders and use your communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate cross-functional teams. You’ll be able to take a holistic view across the areas you manage and use this insight to contribute to organisational strategy through an audience development lens.
You don’t need to have a background in the charity sector, and you may or may not have a connection to dementia, you might be an accomplished Audience Insight professional looking for progression or be an established senior leader in this area already. We’re interested to hear from you if you feel that your skills and experience could be transferred to this role. What you’ll focus on:
- Developing and implementing a Society-wide audience strategy that demonstrably helps to drive growth by clearly laying out the key groups that Alzheimer’s Society needs to engage (including how and why) to progress different areas of our activity.
- Supporting senior stakeholders to create sub-strategies that help directorates and departments working on specific activities, campaigns, content and channels to clarify their target audiences for engagement (acquisition and retention) to drive growth and impact.
- Acting as our leading ambassador and spokesperson for audience strategy and insight, representing our audience knowledge and approach in senior forums as well as with key external partners (e.g. media and creative agencies).
- Leading the evaluation of you and your team’s contribution, developing a high-performance culture rooted in continuous improvement and a growth mindset. In addition to demonstrating the benefits of a more strategic approach to audience insight in terms of driving growth and impact.
- Oversee the co-ordinated delivery of high-quality insight, analysis and delivery from your teams, ensuring that their outputs meet the strategic and operational needs of the Society at large, and individual marketing and engagement teams.
- Using your understanding of our audiences and audience strategies to ensure our policies, processes and systems are optimised to grow engagement in line with our ambitions.

Camp Jojo is a small/medium, but growing charity with a committed team of Trustees, Special Advisors, and Volunteers. The role of Nags Head Farm: Operations Manager (Families and Site Ops) is to offer leadership and administrative support to key functions of Camp Jojo at Nags Head Farm, and to members of the Camp Jojo Board, in relation to the camps held at Nags Head Farm.
The Contractor will handle clerical and logistics tasks for the organisation in a timely and efficient way. The primary task of the Nags Head Farm: Operations Manager will be to oversee family applications to the camps, and to maintain and develop data bases in support of this. They will hold a key role in relation to communications with the families pre-, during, and post-camps. In addition, they will attend and minute meetings, and contribute to camp operations in planning etc. They may need to work flexibly, according to the seasonal demands of the charity.
They will attend the first day (Friday) of each camp The Nags Head Farm: Operations Manager will have a varied and sometimes high-pace job environment. Representing the organisation in high-level forums, you will also champion innovation in consumer advocacy and ensure tangible impact in markets around the world. Your experience will combine political acumen, relationship-building skills and a network mindset, and you will be able to talk to stakeholders in the Financial Inclusion space with confidence.
Your experience;
- Proven experience in advocacy, government relations or public policy (ideally in financial regulation, consumer protection or digital policy).
- Demonstrated ability to influence regulatory or policy change in partnership with civil society or multistakeholder coalitions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory processes in low- and middle-income contexts and familiarity with digital finance ecosystems.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills, with experience facilitating collaboration across diverse stakeholders. Bringing in and utilising your connections with stakeholders in this space is highly desirable.

The Role

Your first 6 months:
Familiarise yourself with the fundraising strategy and your role in operationalising it.
Continue to submit applications to deliver against the 2025/26 pipeline which include small, medium and larger trust funders.
Send out stewardship communications to past and current funders.
Support major donor communications.
In your first 12 months :
When you are more established in the team and your work, you will aim to scale your success, continuing to deliver the annual income target, whilst making the case for team expansion in line with the Fundraising Strategy.
Lead the Fundraising Committee, lead major donor programme develoment and delivery.
Develop case for the recruitment of an additional UK fundraising team member (e.g. Trusts Fundraiser)
Work with the internal team to understand our plans to move into the US market
The Candidate
A creative, hands on fundraiser, happy to lead the startegic and donor facing aspects of high value fundirasing.
A demonstrable track record of securing significant gifts from a range of trusts and foundations.
An ability to write and submit a regular stream of applications.
Experience of researching and writing high-quality, well-structured and persuasive communication materials, and delivering convincing verbal presentations to a variety of stakeholders.
Experience in working with major donors/high net worth individuals, ideally of setting up an income stream to support high net worth giving.
An understanding of funders needs, and how to meet these needs through thorough and relevant research, and creating compelling applications for support.

As Scientific and Patient Information Manager, you will work in the Medical Education and Scientific Engagement Team at Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE). Under the Department Head and MPE Leadership Team, collaborating with the Head of Communications, you will oversee the following projects and activities:
Patient information and communications management (Approx. 55%)
A key role of MPE is providing up-to-date, comprehensive, and patient friendly educational materials and tools for our members and the patient community, as well as communicating about scientific advances in myeloma and AL amyloidosis. This role will be responsible for working across MPE to develop a patient information and educational plan and develop and deliver resources. MPE expects the appointed person to:
- Perform efficient scientific watch (monitoring advancements in research and clinical development)
- Lead the development and implementation of a patient information plan based on member and patient needs, scientific advances and cross-department projects
- Monitor the readership and usage of MPE patient information materials, incorporating website user analytics and feedback from users to increase the reach and impact of the department
- Research, write, and develop patient information and educational materials (including factsheets, Q&As, webinars and infographics). Manage the execution of materials from development through to publication in coordination with Department Head, other MPE departments, and external stakeholders (key opinion leaders, industry, researchers, proofreaders etc.)
- Work with the MPE Communications Team to develop website news stories, e-Newsletter and social media content related to clinical and scientific updates. This will include planning new and innovative ways of disseminating scientific and medical information to patients
- Attending (in person and/or virtually) scientific congresses and developing conference and scientific meeting summaries, organising post-conference webinars for patients in collaboration with the Communication Team
European Myeloma and AL Amyloidosis Clinical Trial Navigator Management (Approximately 35%)
MPE has developed an online clinical trial search tool of European myeloma and AL amyloidosis clinical trials for patients and advocates. This role will be responsible for the management, improvement, and promotion of this core MPE programme, with a focus on ensuring the tool and content is patient friendly, including:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate database of all industry and academic recruiting myeloma, AL amyloidosis, MGUS, and smouldering myeloma clinical trials in Europe
- Write and format lay / patient friendly clinical trial descriptions for the Navigator website
- Liaise with industry and academic clinical trial sponsors, clinical trial sites, and other stakeholders to maintain database up-to-date
- Liaise with web developers to manage the Navigator website, make enhancements, and fix technical issues
- Oversee implementation of translated materials in multiple languages
- Elicit feedback from patients, family members, clinicians and other stakeholders to ensure continued improvement and enhancements
- Manage website news and content
Other 10%
- Staff meetings, annual events, support the rest of the team with clinical and scientific information, answer inquiries from patients, carers and MPE members.
About you
Essential
- A Bachelor’s or a Master’ s degree in a relevant scientific field
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Demonstrable experience (and tested during the interview process) of writing and communicating scientific/complex information for lay audiences across different media
- Ability to understand, critically read and process complex scientific information (from clinical trials, scientific papers, conference talks etc) – and communicating about this in lay, patient friendly language
- Excellent capacity for analysis and communicating (verbally and in writing) clearly for a range of different audiences
- Demonstrable project management experience
- Excellent level of both written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead and work independently on assigned tasks and take appropriate initiatives
- Confidence in representing an organisation in meetings with external stakeholders at all levels
- Good networking abilities
- Rigorous work methods and high attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and curiosity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desirable
- Knowledge of clinical development and how drugs are brought to market for patients

A team of 14 staff members runs remotely the day-to-day operations, programmes and services within 4 divisions: Access and Policy, Medical Education and Scientific Engagement, Capacity Building and Advocacy, and Patient Evidence.
MPE is dedicated to improving the treatment, care and quality of life of patients with myeloma and AL amyloidosis. To this end, the strategic goals of the organisation are:
