This role is all about driving effective communication during a transformative period for the organisation. About the team
You'll be joining the Welfare Operations Directorate Project team, which is part of the wider implementation team responsible for a major organisational change programme.
In this role, you'll work directly to the Project Manager and alongside the Project Officer, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication to all stakeholders. You will also have regular contact with the Internal and Change Communications Manager in the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate, aligning your communication strategies with the broader internal communications strategy of SSAFA.

- Develop positive ways to reach farmers, farming organisations, and the public, to promote plant-based agriculture

- Develop and make recommendations for ways to increase media coverage of vegan eating in order to help push it further into the mainstream

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager (High-Value) will be responsible for the development and implementation of the team’s Donor Advised Funds (DAF) programme. As a growing area of focus for the team, the role holder will have a significant impact on the strategic development of Donor Advised Funds fundraising at Mary’s Meals. With knowledge of the funding landscape for first responders, police, mental health, or wellbeing causes, you will take direct responsibility for income from Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors, and legacy fundraising, alongside oversight of our challenge and community events.

Key Responsibilities:
Policy:
- The post holder will develop and drive proactive policy and public affairs projects and campaigns in consultation with the Head of Policy, Public Affairs and Research and the wider team.

About the role
In this new and pivotal role, you will lead efforts to grow awareness, engagement, and income generation through a vibrant network of volunteer-led branches across London and the South West region. About the team

You will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support CWNN’s fundraising strategy. You’ll work alongside our Development Manager to create compelling fundraising campaigns, content and communications, growing engagement from individuals, companies, community fundraisers and potential funders while simultaneously raising our profile among stakeholders through strategic communications and marketing plans. The ADSHG is a well-established UK charity supporting people with Addison’s and adrenal insufficiency through its website, social media reach and member services. Addison’s disease is a form of adrenal insufficiency and is a rare endocrine condition affecting 1:10,000, and both genders. Whilst treatable with time-critical daily medication, individuals with adrenal insufficiency are at risk of potentially life-threatening adrenal crisis, which occurs when physical or emotional triggers mean that prescribed medication no longer meets the body’s need for cortisol. Adrenal crisis is a medical emergency and can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated in a short period of time. Addison's and adrenal insufficiency are not widely understood, even within the medical community.
Social Media
Our social media reach has grown steadily over the years, and, thanks to thoughtful content promoting audience engagement, it currently stands at a reach of over 31,000 across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X and with a growing reach on BlueSky. Our audience consists of our members and non-members with a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency, their carers and supporters, and healthcare professionals.
We use Loomly to help organise and schedule our posts, aiming to post at least 3 times a week. Our community respond particularly well to both educational and emotive topics, but we aim to keep a good diversity between the focus of posts, and will include fundraising, news, updates, shop alerts, educational articles, member information etc.
