Money Workshops are the core of what we do. Through these sessions, we reach over 40,000 people per year across the UK with our vital financial wellbeing messages.
This offering is split between two areas of work: Workshops for children and young people (our Financial Education offer), and Sessions & Programmes for adults (what we call Financial Wellbeing Training). The Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Officer is responsible for building deeper relationships with some of our most committed supporters. The Role

This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of public fundraising and engagement activities, building new and existing relationships with community, individual and business supporters. You will be the first point of contact for the charity, providing exceptional administration and an outstanding supporter experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engagement
- Build rich relationships through exceptional and inspirational stewardship to increase retention, average gift and supporter experience.
- Organise acquisition/engagement events and campaigns (online and in-person), showcasing our projects and creating a deeper connection with the charity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to the public, responding promptly to all enquiries, providing information, advice and support.
- Identify fundraising stories to enhance marketing/communications activity.
Fundraising
- Proactively secure new support from businesses, individuals and community groups using a planned process of cultivation, conversion and stewardship - including: 1. Businesses: charity of the year, staff fundraising, sponsorship. 2. Community: individual fundraising, schools, groups, official charity for third party events. 3. Individuals: one-off/appeals, regular giving, in-memoriam/celebration and legacies
- Create engaging fundraising campaigns that increase profile, secure new support and increase income.
- Proactively identify opportunities for retaining, growing or diversifying income from existing supporters.
- Actively network to raise the profile of the charity and identify opportunities for new support.
- Recruit, support and coordinate volunteers to support for fundraising and engagement activity.
Data/administration
- Ensure prompt and effective supporter communications, particularly when thanking donations.
- Maintain accurate, compliant data in our CRM (Donorfy), growing the database and improving data quality.
- Use data insight to prepare reports and analyse performance to identify trends and opportunities.
- Monitor/evaluate income and KPIs making recommendations for remedial action or growth opportunities.
- Prepare Quarterly reports for the Board, and upon request.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and the Fundraising Code of Practice.

The Commonweal Trust is continuing to develop an exciting project to help activists discover and use the peace and nonviolence resources which make up the Commonweal Collection, an independent specialist library housed securely at the J.B. Priestley Library, University of Bradford..
We are recruiting for a Collection Development Worker to join our team who will work with the print Commonweal Collection and, through development of a digital strategy, increase the use and visibility of the Collection. This post also includes funding for a 60 hour discrete scoping project linking the resources on the Civil Resistance.info bibliography with the physical resources in the Collection. This role will work in collaboration with the Bradford Peace Museum at Saltaire and the J.B. Priestley Library, University of Bradford.
Collection Development Worker: Primary purpose of the role
To manage the Commonweal Collection, including responsibility for digital strategy, in order to provide access to resources for activist individuals and organisations, and increase nonviolent action within movements for positive social change.
Duties and responsibilitie:
The post-holder acts as the main point of contact for the Collection and is resonsible for ensuring it is is up-to-date and accessible. The intial focus of this fixed term contract is to build on work already undertaken with the print collection by scoping a digital strategy linking the Commonweal Collection to the CivilResistance.info website building on its role as a rich source of materials to inspire, support and informactivists seeking nonviolent transformative change.
- To liaise closely with the J.B Priestley Library, including with its Special Collections archive.
- To undertake a discrete scoping project (60 hours) on integrating the work of the CivilResistance.info website and Commonweal Collection ahead of future funding and development.
- To manage, maintain and develop the physical Commonweal Collection and updating the online library management system.
- To develop and implement a digital strategy for Commonweal to ensure Commonweal resources reach national and international audiences.
- To work with the Outreach Worker to develop emotionally engaging resources on nonviolence that speak to a diversity of traditions, so that people learn practical ways to puruse change and maintain hope.
- To update the Commonweal website and its social media/online presence, including responsibility for the Commonweal blog, in collaboration with the Outreach Worker.
- To support the Outreach Worker as needed, to include work with volunteers and maintaining Commonweal's visibility within the Peace Museum premises.
- To ensure that the Collection is engaging and accessible to activists and organisations from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on what nonviolence means to different communities and under-represented perspectives.

The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of Sporting Assets, advancing our mission to help create healthy, resilient communities with sport and physical activity at their core.
As a Senior Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a range of projects within the Advisory team.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Head of Advisory, you will be responsible for:
- Project Leadership and Delivery. Leading and managing advisory projects from inception to delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Strategic and Operational Client Support. Providing client-facing support across business planning, financial sustainability, governance, stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement.
- Enterprise Growth and Community Development. Working closely with clients, funders and partners to deliver support and guidance enabling enterprise growth and community development within the sport and physical activity sector.
- Investment Readiness Support. Contributing to the development of new services and business opportunities aligned with our mission, including supporting our investment team to deliver investment readiness support across our fund portfolios.

- Deep understanding of how the community and social enterprise sector, ideally through sport, can contribute to wider social outcomes, including health, wellbeing, regeneration, inclusion, and community resilience.
- Experience in financial modelling, business planning and investment readiness support with a clear understanding of the key drivers of profitability and sustainable growth.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage credibly with a diverse range of people and organisations including marginalised communities and senior leaders from public, commercial and community organisations.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent empathy and active listening skills with the ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven business coaching and mentoring skills supporting individuals and community organisations.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of the legal and governance structures available to community based and socially driven organisations ideally including those operating in sport and physical activity.
- Working knowledge of community and social investment plus funding landscapes.
- Operational experience of community organisations and social enterprises, ideally in sport.
- Understanding of social impact measurement and reporting, including methods such as SROI, outcomes frameworks, theory of change and Power BI.
