The Role
To provide efficient, focused and professional customer service and administration support for FareShare Midlands. In addition, this role will be a key member of the regional centre team working closely with the Regional Operations Manager, other departments such as operations, development, fundraising and marketing in order to raise the charity’s profile and attract support. You will work towards, and achieve, best-in-class warehouse & food co-ordination as part of the warehouse and operations team in Fareshare Midlands. As a team you will ensure that food is allocated in a safe, timely and accurate way to optimise the service provided from your depot to our community.

Key Responsibilities
- Contacting and liaising with members as appropriate in relation to food orders and processing using online stock system
- Manage the allocations process to ensure all allocations are completed accurately and timely … working with the Regional Ops manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure sufficient trained resource is available to complete allocation
- Adjusting existing membership - weights / frequency / day changes / fulfilments. To do this you will:
- Understand how memberships and charging structures work
- Monitor inbox for membership change emails
- Liaise with member and discuss costs incurred/saved
- Liaise with Regional Operations Manager on scheduling/capacity.
- Update pipeline, calendar & schedule with member changes when a new member is scheduled
- Update Gladys with information and fees
- Confirm with member via email about any changes made
- Manage delivery schedules to ensure our members receive the food they need when they need it, aligning this with the resources available in the operations team

SCM is looking for a recent graduate to spend a year working with us to help us to continue to build on the work of our successful Faith in Action project.
Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world.
The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.
In 2021 we developed the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme by employing two graduates to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference.
The project has been very successful, and now we are looking to grow it for further. We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2025-26 academic year.
In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian Living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.
You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.
The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. All reasonable expenses for travel and accommodation will be reimbursed. Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.

Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to spinal cord injured (SCI) people and their region of the UK.
The post coordinates two vital parallel strands:
- In your region, to reach and support newly and long-term spinal cord injured people and their families developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex support needs.
- Nationally, working to facilitate the link between SCI people and SIA and the network of services; referring SCI people and their families to our clinical / health expert support teams and advocacy services; working with the Digital Engagement team to build on-line links to regional partners in your area; supporting fundraising, campaigns and communications.

Person specification
We are looking for an efficient, well-organised, friendly person to join the team with the following qualities:
-
CIPD qualified or equivalent professional HR qualification (Level 5 or above)
-
Experience in a generalist HR role, including employee relations, policy development, and HR project delivery.

Experience working on or leading Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives.
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels
-
Confident facilitator and leader of sensitive meetings and discussions, with a culture of care
-
As this is a hands on role, a high level of organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously is needed

Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive work environment

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and respond effectively to new or unforeseen challenges.
