At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for Freelance Training Consultants to support our National Services team.
You'll work within the Training and Consultancy team to deliver both in person and online training to education or employment professionals, dependent on your area of expertise.
You'll possess sound knowledge and expertise in the field of autism and education/employability, specialising in delivering training and knowledge to support autistic young people. You'll support either education setting and organisations to become autism confident, providing interactive, captivating training both in-person and virtually.
You'll contribute to the creation and delivery of digital learning content to be utilised by external organisations, including employers and corporate clients, health and social care and education sectors.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Substantial experience of delivering training to professionals, parents and other audiences.
- Experience of working with autistic young people, parents/carers and employers.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by autistic young people in the workplace/education setting.
- Ability to design and deliver training and CPD programmes to improve inclusive practice.
We are flexible on the number of hours you work. Our training sessions typically last either 1 hour, 3 hours or a full day and you will be paid either on an hourly rate or a day rate, dependent on the type of training that is being delivered.

We are currently seeking a Project Support Officer to take responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of youth club activities within the Mid Essex area including Chelmsford, Maldon and across the Dengie peninsular. The role will involve working closely with the Young People Services Manager with the development and delivery of activities in the Mid and North areas of Essex.

Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker - Full Time, Temporary
IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU POSSESS:
- Time Flexibility
- An enhanced DBS Check on the update service or issued within the last 12 months.
- Full current driving licence- to drive charity vehicles.
Post: Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker
Reporting to: Outreach Manager
Hours per week: You will be required to work 37.5 hours a week over 5 days on which work could fall between Monday and Sunday, with a minimum of 7.5 hours per day, between 5am and 11pm.
Actual days, start/finish times will be variable and in accordance with the rota which will be available two weeks in advance. You will be required to work bank holidays when on rota and may be required to work additional hours, when authorised and as necessitated by the needs of the business including weekends, public holidays or at other times outside your normal hours of work. This may on occasions include night work.
Contract Term: Temporary to cover Maternity Leave
Pay Rate Range: (dependant on skills and experience)
£12.00 + holiday pay = £13.45 per hour - £13,47 + holiday pay = £15.10 per hour
Location: Epping, Maldon, Chelmsford, Rochford, Braintree, Uttlesford, Castle Point, Brentwood and surrounding areas. (Travel expenses covered)
Overall purpose of the job
Successful applicants will work as part of a developing team to provide support and assistance to referred rough sleepers and those at risk of rough sleeping, assessing needs and facilitating the uptake of homelessness provisions, engagement with specialist support services and journey to independent living. Successful applicants will engage and facilitate rough sleepers or those at risk of rough sleeping, to access basic services and accommodation, providing support along the way to address needs and promote independence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Outreach Trips to visit Rough Sleepers - Epping, Maldon, Chelmsford, Rochford, Braintree, Uttlesford, Castle Point, Brentwood, and surrounding areas.
- Undertake needs and risk assessments, for those rough sleeping and at risk of rough sleeping.
- Facilitate access to council provisions for homelessness.
- Signpost and facilitate referrals and support service users to access specialist agencies.
- Liaise and plan with other agencies, attending client meetings where appropriate/requested.
- Pre-admission checks for the rough sleeper accommodation.
- Provide transport where necessary to Rough Sleepers to enable access to assessment and support services.
- To facilitate as necessary in the provision of intensive wrap around support of clients brought into the Rough Sleeper emergency accommodation (planning, assessments, and referrals)
- Landlord Recruitment/ Retention to get people into private rented accommodation.
- Facilitate accommodation moves, cleaning and preparation of rooms for Outreach clients.
- Welfare checks for individuals placed in accommodation as required.
- Liaising with faith and community groups in all districts to recruit volunteers to facilitate outreach in the area.
- Updating of all data on systems - Spreadsheets/CRM
- Research and admin as necessary to progress the Outreach services.
- Cover of sick and A/L of other Outreach/Support Team members, where necessary
- To identify and report all safeguarding concerns related to vulnerable adults and children according to service policies and procedures- our client is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience in support work.
- Taking client risk and needs assessments and helping individuals identify and reach their goals.
- Experience in preparing support plans and writing accurate support notes.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Accurate recording of data and reporting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Building relationships with external stakeholders and partnership working
- Knowledge of the benefit system
- Knowledge of the needs and issues contributing to homelessness and other services available to help address their issues.
- Strong knowledge and experience of maintaining professional boundaries and importance of working with policies and procedures.

Affiliate Fundraising Training Consultant (Part-Time)
Summary

Alongside the Wikimedia Foundation, our movement is composed of affiliate organizations, independent organizations established to support volunteers in a specific language, region or topic. Affiliates are funded by the Wikimedia Foundation, and some in independent fundraising to support their activities.
The Wikimedia Foundation seeks a Fundraising Training Consultant to work with Wikimedia affiliates to grow and develop their fundraising processes and capacity. In this one-year, 30 hour/week contract role (with potential option for renewal) you will be responsible for working with affiliates to understand their fundraising needs and challenges, and to provide them strategic guidance and support as they put in place necessary structures and processes that will aid their fundraising efforts. This role will focus on building the capacity of affiliates to raise funds from a variety of new-to-the-movement donors, including government, multinational and multilateral funding opportunities, and local high networth individuals, as well as advising on systems and structures (e.g. Board composition) for strategic fundraising.
With affiliates located around the globe, the person in this role will need to be skilled in relationship management and cross-cultural communication. This role involves close collaboration with affiliate fundraisers and leadership. You will report to the Major Gifts Stewardship Manager (Fundraising) and work closely with the Vice President of Community Growth. This is a one-year contract and remote role that offers flexible scheduling with a commitment of 30 hours per week.
As a result of your efforts, our affiliate partners will be better equipped to engage in independent fundraising.

You are responsible for:
- Training: Provide learning opportunities for affiliate staff to build their skills around mid-level and major gift fundraising.
- Coaching and Advising: Advise on developing strategies to maximize fundraising potential and impact, including grant writing, event fundraising, other fundraising methods and donor stewardship.
- Strategic Support: Provide strategic advice to individual affiliates on board development. As appropriate, advise affiliates on the creation of additional fit-for-purpose systems and frameworks enable independent fundraising and foster long-term sustainability.
- Peer Sharing Facilitation: With the Lead Community Relations Specialist, organize and facilitate fundraising peer forums to encourage collaboration, sharing of best practices, and mutual support among affiliates.
- Liaising and Coordination: Act as a liaison between affiliate fundraising arms, fostering communication, collaboration, and alignment of fundraising efforts.
Skills and Experience
- Experience teaching and/or training nonprofit organizations on fundraising best practices, grant writing, and donor stewardship.
- Experience in a wide variety of fundraising techniques appropriate for non-US markets, including European government fundraising, Trusts and Foundations, Major Gifts, and Corporate Fundraising, preferably in a consulting or advisory capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with best practices around donor data security.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the Wikimedia Foundation.
