About the role ofHead of Principal Donors

As Head of Principal Donors, you will lead and manage the Foundation’s philanthropy programme, working closely with our senior leadership team and our founder to personally cultivate and steward the Foundation’s principal donors. This includes overseeing our recently formed Accelerate Circle – a select group of visionary philanthropists who help drive the Foundation’s fundraising through their networks.

In this role you will:

• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s philanthropy strategy, playing an active
  leadership role in the successful delivery of income growth from UHNWI and
  HNWIs
• Develop the Accelerate Circle of patrons and deliver a solicitation strategy to
  expand membership and grow our community of donors and supporters
• Provide exceptional stewardship to existing donors and cultivate new donors
• Work closely with our founder and their office to design, plan and deliver highROI engagement such as income-generating dinners or paid speeches
• With the Director Fundraising and Communications, develop annual plans and
  budgets, along with longer term forecasts for income from individuals
• Work proactively with our Communications and Programmes teams to identify
  and create funded or high-return opportunities to gain visibility in key markets
• Support staff to deliver and, where appropriate, lead on fundraising and
  cultivation events and donor trips
• In consultation with the Director, lead on financial reporting for philanthropy
  income, advising on risks and opportunities, producing regular reports of
  income against plans and forecasts, and monitoring day to day income tracking

Our ideal candidate is: 

• Experienced in cultivating and stewarding high-net-worth individual donors – with a proven track record of securing six or seven figure donations
• Capable of developing and delivering a successful philanthropy strategy
• Comfortable and experienced working with high profile individuals and senior volunteers including managing development boards, giving circles or other forms of peer-to-peer fundraising approaches
• Excellent at managing relationships and able to successfully influence people at all levels with clear and persuasive communication

The Role

The objectives of the Communications and Campaigns team are to increase the public profiles of Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK, mobilise public support to bring about change and ensure that all colleagues are aware of, bought into and engaged in contributing to the values and direction of the charities. 

A natural storyteller, you will have a talent for creating shortform video content that engages key audiences across our social media platforms. By generating ideas and making them happen, sourcing contributors, shooting and editing footage, you will monitor the performance of posts and proactively incorporate best practice to ensure that content is well received by audiences, and that the charities’ presence on its social media channels grows.

You will regularly collaborate with colleagues across both charities, the other founding charities and key partners to create compelling and inspiring content.

Main duties include:

• Creating shortform video content
• Project manage the production of video content for social media campaigns
• Ensure that the charity showcases its advice, information, programmes and services through shortform content.
• Champion and promote the brands, including their tone of voice, in our creative content.
• Working with the Social Media Manager, plan for and produces engaging content for relevant awareness events, including Mental Health Awareness Week in May and World Mental Health Day in October.
• Analyse the performance of video content
• Help the team keep up with social media trends, spotting opportunities

About You

A content creator and social media expert you will have experience of planning, shooting and editing footage to engage audiences across different social media platforms and of using creative design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro - essential). With an eye for detail, you will use your project management skills to analyse the performance of social media content, refining and improving content through iteration.

You will also have experience of:

• Writing and editing copy to suit different audiences and providing updates and briefings at meetings.
• Being a brand guardian and supporting others to use brand and tone of voice guidelines.
• Planning, creating and scheduling engaging content across multiple social media channels, while optimising content by channel and audience.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Development Operations and Stewardship Officer to join our Development Directorate, providing key support within a small fundraising team of 9. About the role
We are recruiting for a Campaigns and Mobilisation Officer to join on a full-time, permanent contract, working 35 hours per week.

Campaigning is at the heart of our mission to end the devastation caused by dementia, and this position is key to Alzheimer’s Society’s ambition to drive meaningful policy change across England, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

As Campaign and Mobilisation Officer you will be focussed on delivering impact focussed campaigns; including the mobilisation of audiences, to change policy at both a local and national level across England, Northern Ireland and Wales; making the case for dementia to be the priority it needs to be and ensuring policy objectives are implemented to improve the lives of people living with dementia.

You will help deliver our campaigning strategy, by deploying a range of online and offline tactics and ensuring that all campaigning action is mobilised to affect change in dementia at all levels. You will support and deliver campaigns that are collaborative and impact focused, working closely with other teams across the organisation, including, but not limited to, colleagues in External Relations, Marketing and Brand and Fundraising.

This role is home based, with some travel expected for team and directorate away days.

About you
Joining us, you’ll be able to combine skills across communications and influencing disciplines, along with technical ability related to the management of campaigning platforms and data handling. Role Description

Office Administration: 

• Work with the SLT to implement and maintain core policies and procedures. 

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, audits, certifications, and training (fire drills, first aid, evacuation procedures). 

• Liaise with tenants and landlords to uphold appropriate processes and procedures. 

• Manage data processing, GDPR compliance, and act as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer.

Facility Management:

We are looking for a creative, driven, compassionate, Communications Lead to develop, lead, and implement an integrated communications strategy that supports our ambition to double the number of adults learning to read with Read Easy UK by the end of our current strategy.

As a strong communications generalist, with strategic and operational expertise, the Communications Lead will work closely with employees, volunteers and other key stakeholders to strengthen the charity’s national brand and position. This role covers all aspects of communications including media relations, digital communications, brand communications, stakeholder and internal communications.

The post holder will shape and deliver communications activity that inspires, informs, and engages our key audiences, including volunteers, potential Readers, funders, the media, and partners across the UK.

The successful candidate will be strategic and agile and will enjoy shaping strategy alongside delivering communications activity. This is a standalone role, leading and delivering internal and external communications for the organisation in collaboration with other key partners.

Location: Fully Remote/Home-based with very occasional travel to regional groups as required and for up to 3 team meetings per annum (currently held in Birmingham).

Reports to: Read Easy UK CEO.

Line Management: Volunteers and freelancers, and potential for future employees.

Start date: January 2026 (or sooner).

As the Supporter Care Officer, you'll be part of wider fundraising team, reporting to brilliant Supporter Care Manager – a small but might team. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Making sure every supporter feels heard, valued, and appreciated

• Contribute to the integrity of the database by amending supporter details as necessary and recognising areas for improvement to support the Supporter Experience Manager with maintenance of the CRM.
