Main purpose of the role 
As our Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy, working closely with the Executive Director, the Finance Team, the Insight Fundraising Officer and the Trust and Foundations consultants. The Fundraising Manager will develop existing income streams and strengthen stakeholder and supporter engagement. As Fundraising Manager, you’ll work closely with other global team members to review and implement our fundraising strategy in line with our strategic goals. 

Main Responsibilities: 

1. Play a leading role in the development and delivery of ICC’s fundraising strategy and the success of direct marketing, telemarketing and online campaigns to generate cash, regular giving and Gift Aid. 
2. Plan, research and implement all aspects of direct marketing aimed at acquiring and retaining new and existing supporters. 
3. Establish a robust donor stewardship strategy, building strong relationships with existing  and potential donors and increasing donor retention and engagement 
4. Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of partnerships with churches. 
5. To manage the direction and relationship with our Trust and Foundation consultants by collaborating in the research, writing and submitting targeted Trust applications and report on grants awarded. 
6. Work with the team to support the legacy giving strategy, to maximise long-term income. 
7. To have oversight of the in-house CRM database (Microsoft D365). Work with the team to develop competency in the effective use of our CRM database as part of our donor stewardship and reporting structure. 
8. To assist and promote ICCs presence at fundraising and other events.
9. Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy and donor care to reduce attrition rates. 
10. Regularly monitor and evaluate direct marketing campaigns, Trust fundraising, recurring giving and legacy fundraising, provide results and feed the learning back into the organisation. 
11. To keep abreast of key issues and best practices within the direct marketing/fundraising sector. 
12. Ensure fundraising practices comply with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the Code of Fundraising Practice. 
13. Undertake additional duties as requested. 
14. Line manage the Insight Fundraising Officer and lead our Trusts and Foundations partner.

Fundraising Campaigns and Events 

1. Plan, coordinate, and manage our annual fundraising event. 
2. Support the Executive Director on other events. 
3. Project manage our newsletter and appeal campaigns.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Membership Manager, the Corporate Membership Officer – Commercial Relationships and Fulfilment will:

• Manage and grow relationships with corporate and university members.
• Drive new partnerships, membership sales, and sponsorship opportunities, with clear revenue targets, while maintaining strong long-term relationships with existing members.
• Identify and convert opportunities that enhance IWA’s profile and support membership growth.

This is a dynamic role for a confident, articulate account manager who thrives on building relationships. The successful candidate will combine strong customer service skills with proven B2B sales and account management experience, excellent time-management/organisation, cultural awareness and sensitivity when working across regions, and excellent communication abilities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management

• Act as the dedicated account manager for IWA’s portfolio of over 400 corporate and university members.
• Deliver expert advice, support, and engagement to maximise member value.
• Manage the end-to-end membership cycle (prospecting → onboarding → renewal), ensuring timely renewals and accurate CRM record-keeping.

Business Development

• Drive growth by identifying and securing new members, sponsors, and revenue opportunities.
• Own and report on a personal sales pipeline; meet or exceed agreed sales/retention targets.
• Upsell and cross-sell relevant services to both new and existing members.
• Promote IWA by developing a network of influential contacts within political, economic, social, and water sector communities.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with internal stakeholders including membership engagement, marketing, and IT teams to deliver the corporate membership strategy.
• Manage member queries and administrative processes, including billing and invoicing coordination, in line with the company’s SLA guidelines.
• Ensure a seamless client journey from prospecting to onboarding and retention.
• Represent IWA at events (where required), both within the UK and internationally, to promote membership and build commercial relationships.

The above job description contains the main duties and responsibilities for this position, and the role is expected to be approximately 60% developing new business and 40% managing existing accounts.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Skills & Knowledge
The ideal candidate will:

• Be a persuasive communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Have proven success in B2B new-business sales (meeting or exceeding targets) and account retention.
• Be an experienced account manager, confident in engaging senior business leaders.
• Demonstrate the ability to research, identify, and approach decision-makers independently.
• Bring marketing skills, with experience using diverse channels to attract and retain members.
• Have professional CRM experience (required), ideally with Salesforce (strongly preferred).
• Possess strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Show respect for cultural differences and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders/time zones.
• Show creativity and analytical ability in problem-solving, with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Ideally, have experience within a membership body, or charity organisation.
• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English would be an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, International Relations).
• A Master’s degree in a similar area would be plus.
• Formal training and certification in sales and account management (preferably Salesforce Administrator) would be a strong benefit.

Experience Required

• 3+ years’ work experience in sales and account management.
• Experience working in membership associations and/or international organisations would be a strong benefit.

Brief role description

About Your Responsibilities

The Communications Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team across three areas, as well as supporting a number of other initiatives across the Foundation.

The primary duties are:

Digital Communications and Marketing

• Newsletter Creation: Develop newsletters for young people, collaborating with the Grants Team and our partners to curate engaging and relevant content.

• Promotional Materials: Oversee the design and production of leaflets and brochures aimed at young audiences.

• Website Maintenance: Regularly update the JPF website with blogs, case studies and other content to highlight opportunities and programmes like the Individual Grant for Volunteering or success stories of Achievement Award winners.

• Storytelling: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer and Events Team to source and share positive news stories of Achievement Award winners in press releases and across our digital channels.

• Press and Outreach: Assisting in drafting press releases and executing outreach campaigns to promote JPF’s work to key networks and to the broader public.

• Event Promotion: Work in partnership with the Events Team to promote attendance at our Achievement Award events through our website and social media platforms.

• Youth Consultation Panel (YCP) Collaboration: Collaborate with JPF's Youth Consultation Panel to create educational and professional development content for the Jack Petchey Alumni Network.

Programme Launches: Work with colleagues across JPF to launch and promote new programmes, grant opportunities and recruitment across our digital channels.

• Competitions and Opportunities: Enhance JPF's youth engagement through creative competitions and development opportunities that celebrate young people’s achievements. 

Content Creation

• Daily Duties: Handle day-to-day scheduling, monitoring and interactions across our youthfocused social media platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok) to maintain audience engagement.

• Campaign Development: Lead the creation of social media campaigns celebrating young people’s achievements and promoting opportunities for young people and grantees to get involved with JPF.

• Content creation: Develop engaging content for social media channels, including sourcing images, creating/editing videos and designing graphics in line with JPF’s branding.

• Video Content: Work with staff and our Youth Consultation Panel to produce more film content for our social media channels.

• Social Media Takeovers: Host social media takeovers with our Youth Consultation Panel to amplify their voices and views.

• Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse the performance of our social media channels, benchmarking activities against past metrics and producing regular reports for the Communications and Engagement Manager.

• Annual Plan: Contribute to JPF’s annual communications strategy, including devising social media plans, providing recommendations to enhance audience engagement and expand reach.

• Trend monitoring: Stay updated on news and trending topics related to young people and JPF, proactively responding to highlight our opportunities and work.

Community Development 

• Youth consultation Panel (YCP): Work with the JPF team to engage with and support our Youth Consultation Panel to share their opinions and help inform the work of the Foundation.

• Alumni Network: Support the development of the Jack Petchey Alumni Network, a community of past JPF programme graduates, expanding its uptake and planning future events.

• Youth Survey Development: Support the creation, distribution and analysis of JPF’s annual youth surveys.

• Partner Collaboration: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer to manage our partners to promote their programmes and opportunities to young people.

• Identifying Stakeholders: Collaborate with colleagues on developing JPF’s Patrons and Ambassador’s plan with a focus on young people from the charity’s past as well as social media influencers. 

Other Responsibilities

• Event Representation: Attend key events to capture content and represent JPF as a spokesperson when needed.

• Event Support: Assist in organising and facilitating events and conferences as required.

● Create compelling written, visual, and video content that aligns with 20/20 Levels' mission and brand,  including graphics, reels, captions, and TikTok posts.

● Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and mentions related to our industry and brand.

● Design materials for internal communications, including newsletters, announcements and marketing materials and team updates

● Assist in maintaining a content library, organising media assets, and archiving materials for future use.

● Collaborate with our Marketing and Communications Lead to brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and promotions.

Community Engagement

● Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications & Skills

SUMMARY OF ROLE

This new role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting new journey at RABI as we grow our Marketing and Communications team ahead of launching our ambitious 2025-2030 strategy. As Digital Communications Officer, you will take a lead role in planning, creating and delivering content across social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns. You will have the creative freedom to develop innovative approaches that drive meaningful interaction and measurable impact.

The role reports to the Senior Digital Communications Manager and requires close collaboration to support RABI’s digital objectives and content strategy. You will also work with the wider Marketing and Communications team and colleagues across the organisation to support broader objectives, reach multiple audiences and connect people with the charity’s work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media and Content Creation

• Plan, create and deliver engaging content across RABI’s social media channels in line with the communications strategy.
• Create a diverse range of multimedia content (short-form video, graphics, photography, written content) tailored thoughtfully for each platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Be hands-on with video creation when needed (e.g., filming short clips, editing using mobile tools or basic editing software).
• Grow RABI’s image and video library by proactively collaborating with colleagues, volunteers, social media followers and external contacts to source or create engaging, high-quality content.
• Carry out content A/B testing, trial new formats and recommend improvements to drive engagement.
• Set up and optimise paid social media campaigns (traffic objectives) to promote services and volunteer recruitment.

Email Marketing and Digital Campaigns

• Plan, write, and deliver email campaigns to support teams across the charity, including fundraising and volunteering.
• Create and schedule multi-stage email journeys to nurture audiences and support campaign goals.
• Build and manage digital assets to support new services or campaigns, planning activity across owned and paid digital channels.
• Shape campaigns from scratch from developing campaign branding and messaging to designing supporting assets.
• Focus on landing page design and optimisation to support strong user journeys and improve engagement with key services and campaigns.
• Support the delivery of key grant campaigns such as the Return to School and Winter Fuel grants.

Data Analysis and Optimisation
 
Use analytics tools to measure the performance of social media, email marketing, paid advertising, influencer activity and outreach.
Produce regular performance reports with actionable insights to improve future activity.
Assess campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and social platform insights to inform optimisation strategies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

• 3 years of experience working a similar role in a marketing and communications team.
• Skilled in using WordPress to update and maintain websites.
• Proficiency in using design and video editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut).
• Good understanding of website accessibility standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Confident in creating campaign assets independently, as well as responding to briefs.

Desirable

The Donor Relations Officer will be responsible for crafting compelling, donor-centred communications that strengthen long-term relationships with partners and supporters, deepen engagement and inspire giving. One of the main areas of responsibility will be to produce proposals and reports for stakeholders, especially strategic partners and donors. • Oversight and management of Pecan's financial planning, accounting, and reporting.
• Oversight and management of the organisations financial risk and compliance, and safeguarding of assets through effective processes and procedures.
• Oversight and management of performance and organisational data: its collection, storage, analysis and reporting. 

Finance

1. Advise and report to the Board, Chief Executive and SMT on all financial matters, including investments, reserves, financial forecasting and cashflow, financial performance and systems. 
2. Lead the financial planning for the organisation, including annual budgeting and re-forecasting as necessary and to prepare regular financial report, including management accounts, cashflow, and other reports as required by the Board, the SMT and budget holders. 
3. Provide financial information, advice and support, including training, which meets the needs of the Trustees, SMT and other staff within Pecan. In particular, work with service leads to provide all necessary financial budgeting input to funding bids and funding monitoring and reporting, ideally also upskilling the service leads in this area. 
4. Take responsibility for the day to day management and administration of the finance functions such as bank reconciliations, petty cash and donation records, accounts payables & receivables, VAT and gift aid claimed.
