We’re on the lookout for a skilled communicator who’s passionate about creating content that serves and supports the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community.
As Senior Content Officer, you’ll craft clear, useful and engaging content that helps people make informed decisions about their treatment, feel more connected, and understand the impact of the research we fund.
You’ll also help bring the voices of the T1D community to the forefront by sharing stories, insights, and experiences across our digital channels. From day-to-day content planning to writing, editing, and publishing across web, email, social, and media, you’ll be central to how Breakthrough T1D informs, inspires, and grows its reach in the UK.

WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation. Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers. Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams. You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations. You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France. An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids. You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations. You will be proactive in sourcing powerful impact stories and case studies from across the University and translate these into high quality content that ensures donors feel their support is valued and effective, inspires repeat giving and maximises donor retention.
You will be highly organised and proactive, with excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills, with an ability to influence and connect with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Purpose:

What the job involves
We’re looking for a brilliant and proactive Senior Copywriting Officer to lead the creation of compelling written content that engages our audiences, strengthens our brand voice, and helps raise vital funds to support men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.
As our in-house copywriting expert, you’ll help shape messaging and creative direction for products and campaigns and play a key role in shaping our tone of voice across all communication. You’ll review and edit content, support colleagues to build their confidence and capability, and ensure everything we publish is clear, consistent and impactful.
You’ll take the lead on developing content and writing for key long-form products – including our supporter magazine, impact report and direct marketing appeals – transforming briefs into emotionally resonant, insight-led copy that drives supporter action across both print and digital channels.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Individual Giving & Legacies Team at Dementia UK, where you will play a key role in growing two of the charity’s most vital income streams, gifts in Wills and in memory fundraising. Together this amounts to over £8 million annually, representing more than a quarter of our total income.
As a Legacy and In Memory Executive, you will help increase awareness of gifts in Wills and maximise opportunities for in memory giving through the delivery of compelling, timely and supporter-focused communications. You will lead on the development and implementation of multichannel marketing campaigns, including copywriting, compiling design briefs and liaising with suppliers and agency partners to ensure that all activity is insight-led and aligned with strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for stewarding supporters with sensitivity and care, managing enquiries and pledges related to gifts in Wills and coordinating the delivery of meaningful journeys for in memory donors. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you will oversee the production of marketing and collateral, managing relevant content across social media channels and sourcing case stories for use across the charity.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience delivering fundraising or marketing projects in any area. You should be confident using a relationship database to inform and report on stewardship activity and ensuring data is used effectively to enhance supporter journeys. You should also have an understanding of how to use insights, data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll create dynamic, multi-channel content that inspires, informs, and grows our audiences, helping us share the stories of Brunel’s iconic ship, the Brunel Institute, and the wider SS Great Britain Trust.
From capturing unique video content and reels to delivering bold campaigns, you’ll help us reach ambitious engagement and visitor targets.
What you’ll do
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) and website, in line with our brand voice.
- Produce, capture, edit and publish high-quality photography, video, and copy, including short-form video, blogs, news articles, and event listings.
- Organise photography and filming shoots with external creatives to generate original content for our channels.
- Work with colleagues across the Trust to identify great stories and opportunities for rich multimedia content.
- Drive forward growth across all social media channels, delivering a new content strategy that increases reach and engagement while communicating our key messages and tone of voice.
- Act as the point of contact for in-house PR and manage press inboxes, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Support press and PR activity, including arranging interviews and escorting media/guests on site and organising press and influencer events.
- Use social media listening and analytics tools to monitor conversations, measure performance, and recommend improvements.
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager and Marketing & Campaigns Manager to deliver comprehensive and creative campaign strategies.
- Support paid advertising campaigns and influencer engagement.
- Coordinate with external agencies and freelancers for photography, filming and
design projects. - Keep up to date with emerging digital trends and best practice in the heritage, attractions and museum sectors.
- Regularly report on KPIS through monthly dashboards.
What you’ll bring
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong digital content creation skills (photography, video, copywriting, design).
- Proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of social media strategy, analytics, and SEO best practice.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle
multiple projects. - A collaborative, audience-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience
- At least one year’s experience in a marketing, digital content or social media role (in-house or freelance).
- Proven experience producing engaging content for a range of platforms.
- Experience working with different stakeholders, managing deadlines, and delivering to brand guidelines.
- Experience with content scheduling tools (e.g. Hootsuite) and analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics).
