About the role
Reporting to the global head of design, brand and digital experience, this is a pivotal position that will establish how the next generation of Sightsavers websites will support the organisation’s evolving needs and work.
We are looking for a digital communications expert with professional experience working in user experience, content marketing and ecommerce to lead the day-to-day delivery of Sightsavers’ exciting websites scoping project. You will be responsible for information gathering throughout the organisation, coordination and day-to-day management of the project, coordinating a project team of area experts, and using an Agile working process to deliver comprehensive project findings, resources and recommendations.
To be successful in this role, you will have to quickly understand the organisation’s various strands of work and the relationships between these, as well as having an understanding of the specialisms of the core project team members, including editorial, design, analytics, search marketing and web development. The ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders and diplomatically prioritise their needs, as well as cultivating support throughout the organisation for the project is essential.

The Marcomms Officer reports into a Marketing Manager and works across the Brand & Marketing team to:

• Ensure brand and health marketing messaging remains consistent and on brand across all activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with in-house and external designers to deliver marketing campaigns and assets.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with external suppliers, such as printers, freelancers, photographers, and creative agencies on allocated projects.
• Represent the Brand & Marketing team on selected organisational working groups and actively engage with our internal networks.
• Help manage our marketing tools and platform to support usage across the organisation.
• Provide project support to our Creative Team, for example co-ordinating brand photography shoots.
• Ensure all healthcare and fundraising literature is in stock, on brand and updated in terms of content, consent, permissions and legal requirements.

As our Marketing Manager - Mass Fundraising Acquisition (Legacy), you’ll be responsible for leading an in-house team of marketers responsible for driving mass, new customer acquisition across a portfolio of fundraising products/activities. This includes our integrated mass marketing campaigns, Legacy lead generation acquisition and specific Legacy conversion activity, via promoting our Free Will Service.
Working with our media agency and third-party agency suppliers, you'll be responsible for the development, execution, and optimisation of multi-million pound, omni-channel marketing, and fundraising campaigns and marcomms within the overall British Heart Foundation (BHF) integrated media plan. You'll have oversight across a portfolio of fundraising activity, ensuring strategic and tactical delivery and optimisation, to deliver transformative customer experiences and drive growth in support and income through mass customer acquisition.
In this role, you'll put the customer at the heart, ensuring they feel central to our work and achievements and motivated to continue funding our research in the long-term.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you'll bring extensive and demonstrable marketing experience of designing, developing, and managing integrated, multi-channel marketing plans and delivering successful commercial outcomes through these i.e., across new customer acquisition and fundraising/income growth.
Preferably with knowledge of Legacy Marketing, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of success in a fast-moving, effective marketing team, experience in paid media planning, and optimisation within, and across a full range of ATL channels.
