Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Marketing and Events Manager (M&EM) with creating, organising and managing CWC (The Care Workers’ Charity) events as needed (from conception to realisation including all promotional materials and online promotion).
- Source, design (where required) and manage collateral needed for conferences and events and work closely with colleagues to produce leaflets and flyers
- Assist in implementing CWC’s marketing strategy, including social media, SEO, and email campaigns.
- Help create engaging content for social media, website, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Manage the charity's attendance at trade conferences and sector events either face to face or online (Organise furniture, marketing collateral, hotel accommodation and travel as needed)
- Work closely with CWC colleagues, using opportunities for wider networking to encourage fundraising
- Support the organisation with organising and running Professional Care Workers’ Week
- Assist to create and maintain an events calendar for the CWC that encompasses a range of fundraising events and awareness raising events

- Support the team to recruit and manage volunteers who can support specifically with events, either online or in person
- Get feedback from sponsors and supporters and work with them to improve processes and understand how sponsorship and supporter engagement can develop

The Communications Manager (PR, Brand and Publications) will be essential to promoting IGC’s ideas and the use of evidence in policy decision-making at global and national levels. The position will take a leading role in developing and delivering the digital and storytelling strategies for the IGC.

The Advice Services Manager will take the lead on BIAS’s day-to-day advice services, managing a small team of welfare and housing advice specialists to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. You will need to have experience of delivering front-line benefits and/or housing advice, strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with staff and clients, along with excellent organisational abilities to ensure that casework and projects are delivered on time.
In 2025, BIAS is expanding its successful Brent-based welfare and housing advice service into Haringey borough. The Advice Services Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to build and develop the new advice service in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal client base.
This role will also involve working with the leadership team to help identify areas for future development and support grant applications and reporting, which will give you the opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the organisation’s future strategy and direction.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES
Staff management
- Managing a small advice team, ensuring the quality of the advice provided.

- Leading on monitoring service delivery, recording outcomes and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Managing all aspects of risk relating to advice delivery, complaints handling, safeguarding and GDPR.

- Working with the leadership team as required on operational matters, including planning, strategy for future development and grant applications and reporting.
These are the basic duties required of the Advice Services Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based in our advice offices in Willesden and Haringey[1] but there may be some options for flexible working (i.e. one or two days per week).

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £2 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for further expansion in 2025 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

We are pleased to be working with the the trust to recruit a new Research & Grants Programme Manager to join its small and very focused team. Working in a hybrid manner with up to two days in offices in Hammersmith, London, and the remainder working remotely from home.
The role:
Working closely with the CEO, this pivotal role will oversee the entire grant-making processes and funding activities of the trust, in addition to driving the intellectual rigor of the research work of its grantees, in line with the core charitable objectives of the trust. This will involve managing all aspects of pre and post-award research management, reporting writing, grant finance management and governance, co-ordination of the trust’s scientific committees and shaping external scientific communications to supporters and other stakeholders.
A central element of the role will be to manage the trust’s research funding initiatives, nurturing existing relationships with a broad network of high-level panels of experts and peer reviewers, as well as a wide range of stakeholders and past and present grantees. Working closely with the CEO, this person will maintain an expansive and knowledgeable view of the research landscape, understanding the important changes and influences relevant to the work of the trust. Leading on the Trust’s communications by producing social media and website content in addition to external reporting, this role will also support and manage its annual conference.
The person:
The successful candidate will have substantial and demonstrable experience of high-level research management in combination with an extensive grants-management and funding process management background. Educated ideally to PhD level in a scientific subject, or the equivalent in high-level research-led programme management experience, this person will be ambitious with excellent attention to detail and an intellectually curious and rigorous approach. A background in science based, research led, grant-making will be important as well as having a systematic and process driven approach. This experience would ideally have been gained in the charity sector or the higher education or grant-making sectors.
Experience of impact measurement, grants report writing and preparing content for communications and social media will be important, in addition to having an understanding of scientific research across the UK and overseas. This person will be highly numerate, organized and methodical in their approach and will see this role as a fantastic opportunity to bring creative ideas and experience to the table, in order to make a real and lasting difference in the research led field of musculoskeletal and related inflammatory diseases in the UK and overseas.

About the role
You will bring your expertise and experience of delivering automated omnichannel journeys to send the right message, to the right person, at the right time, in the media of their choice. You will bring your passion for utilising customer data to deliver personalised, targeted customer-centric marketing to deliver business goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working with the transformation team to build customer journeys in our new MarTech platform, Adobe, supporting building a bank of digital collateral, migrating existing communications into the new platform and ensuring all marketing activities conform to BHF brand.
Collaborating with internal teams to make the most efficient use of current customer data and how to use it to personalise within communications journeys. Whilst supporting on building audience segments and business rules for customer engagement.
Reporting on performance of communications and translating this information for wider stakeholders, utilising tools to understand conversions and customer behaviours to inform a marketing automation strategy to be shared with digital and other fundraising colleagues.
About you
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Strong understanding of omnichannel principles, alongside data segmentation and personalisation in digital communications
- Experience of integrated marketing automation platforms such as Adobe (desirable), dotdigital, Salesforce or Hubspot
- Proven ability to develop impactful creative and copy and experience designing, developing and delivering automated personalised customer journeys
- Experience of working with large data sets and utilising to improve customers lifetime value
- Skills in analytics and data visualisation tools
- Experience of project management and effectively using tools to support this such as Jira

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
