This is a new role at Befriending Networks, as we seek someone who is up for the challenge of fundraising to support the continuation of our work in supporting the network of befriending organisations and ensuring that meaningful social connection is available to all.

The role will work closely with the CEO to deliver a fundraising strategy, which will focus on trusts, grant-givers, and corporate collaborations across the UK.

The key focus of this role

1. Generate income from small grants from trusts and foundations for specific projects and activities over the short to medium term.

Schools’ Project Officer (4-5 days per week; 10 months contract with opportunity for renewal)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join this fast-growing charity at a pivotal time, and make significant impact as our grass-roots Schools’ Project Officer. You will be visiting schools, explaining about what we do at assemblies and going for follow up sessions, and then giving email feedback to applications.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an energetic, talented and reliable candidate for our schools’ outreach team, inspiring high-quality applications for funding from Year 12s in our 85 partner London state schools (20% of the total).  There is scope to help shape our strategy. We are looking for competent project officer, ideally with experience of physical challenge, strong administrative skills and with strong writing skills: they will be comfortable working with students, and value personal challenge and development. He/she will be keen to work with a growing charity, and to support young people usually with a poverty of experience and opportunity.

The 10-month post is up to 4-5 days per week, based in Southwark, with frequent travel to schools across London. The salary is £26,600–£35,000 pa pro rata. Flexible working is considered.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. The Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Digital Content & Communications Manager; a creative all-rounder who thrives on “doing,” not just talking strategy. Role Summary  

Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-framed. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) is an independent charity established in 1967. Are you passionate about marketing and fundraising? If so, we are looking for a marketing expert to help us plan, deliver and optimise the marketing to our most loyal supporters – focusing on Legacy audiences. This role will be instrumental to helping the ongoing success & continued evolution of the marketing and digital tactics for these audiences. 

This Marketing Officer position at Brooke is a pivotal role within the Legacy & Community Engagement team. Legacies are Brooke’s largest single source of voluntary income and fund over half of our international animal welfare work. And it is one of our key fundraising priorities and an integral part of our 5yr fundraising strategy.

Within this role you will help deliver an exciting portfolio of integrated, multi-channel and supporter-centric campaigns that involves all elements of the marketing mix as well as a range of diverse stewardship activities. We are looking for a highly organised individual with great communication skills who will help deliver a range of marketing campaigns and stewardship activity which will acquire new supporters, convert existing Brooke supporters and steward known supporters, with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of supporters who include a gift to Brooke in their Will.

About you
This is a varied role which requires a solid foundation in integrated marketing & stewardship delivery.

We are an ambitious international animal welfare charity and in order to thrive, you will need to be independent, well organised, hands-on, unflappable, creative, analytical, data-driven, focused on results, demonstrate attention to detail and be able to prioritise your work.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with stewardship & marketing experience who also has a flair for building relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Being a good team player is key to working collaboratively as part of the Legacy and Community Engagement team and wider Fundraising Directorate.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. And you will have excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively to meet targets and deadlines.  You will have a proactive approach and be willing to travel or work unsocial hours on occasion.

What the job involves

The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.

You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.

The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.

This role is fixed term until end of October 2026 covering an internal secondment.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a pro-active and highly organised person to join our team. You’ll be self-motivated and able to multi-task, supporting a busy team while keeping on top of your own projects. You’ll have experience of communicating in plain English across multiple platforms including social media and our website. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of how medical and health-related information is produced to standard guidelines.

You’ll be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be happy communicating with a wide range of people, from men with prostate cancer and their families to specialist clinicians and researchers.
