This is an exciting opportunity to work in our Restoring Rivers & Catchments Team, developing and delivering a portfolio of physical enhancement projects on the ground. This role is suitable for an experienced and knowledgeable individual to build on their existing skills, overseeing all stages of river and catchment enhancement projects; from conception to development, design and physical implementation. You can have practical impact and influence on the natural environment creating sustainable and healthy rivers for the future.

The role of a Project Officer

Whilst this role will predominantly be in the East of the region, you will need to be prepared to work all over the South East should the need arise. River enhancement projects will typically include weir removals, fish passage easements (such as rock ramps, nature-like bypasses or technical fish passes) and river re-naturalisation projects (such as habitat enhancements, reconnecting floodplains & palaeochannels, re-meandering, and backwater creation). Catchment management projects are likely to include wetland creation, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Natural Flood Management (NFM) measures. We would be interested to know about any experience you have in the above fields when you apply.

Using your freshwater expertise and proven ability, you will proactively lead on smaller and medium scale projects while working closely with other staff, external partners and stakeholders. You will work with the rest of the team, drawing on the experience of more seasoned staff to help your personal career progression and likewise overseeing Assistant Project Officer and imparting your knowledge onto them. Most importantly of all, you will support the whole team, your line manager and the wider organisation.

• Able to put their understanding of freshwater aquatic ecosystems to use by designing, overseeing and delivering projects in this environment.
• Able to work across the catchment to support the development and funding of projects.
• A great communicator able to engage and work with multiple stakeholders.
• Happy and able to get involved with the practical hands on physical delivery of the project.

What the job involves

The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.

As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.

In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator who knows how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.

With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and product fulfilment.

About Sculpt UK

Sculpt is a UK-based charity with over 20 years’ experience, who support young people to shape their own future. Our vision is that we live in a society where young people can be fulfilled through their education, work and participation in wider society. What are we looking for?

Sculpt UK is hiring a bookings coordinator and youth programme officer who would deliver our direct intervention work with young people aged 12-16 with a focus on skills building around employment through our holistic work experience programmes. Approximately 75% of our under 16s work involves working with young people who have SEND or who are at risk of becoming NEET (not in employment, education or training). Training on working specifically with SEND students will be offered to the successful applicant.

The role will also manage our bookings with schools and individuals across projects. This job is a 70/30 split between Youth Programme Officer and Bookings Coordinator.

Responsibilities :

Youth Programme Officer:

• Adhere to Sculpt UK’s safeguarding practices and procedures at all time 

• Deliver funded programmes focused on youth employability, leadership and youth voice in line with Sculpt UK’s delivery style and ethos

• Work with other Youth Programme Officers to successfully to deliver projects and support in data collection required for reporting

• Use their experience and knowledge of the issues affecting young people to tailor the workshops accordingly to age, need and interest

• Facilitate workshops on topics such as communication, gender stereotypes, social media, finance & skills, teamwork

• Run mock interviews with programme participants

• Contribute to the development of a Theory of Change for each project 

• Ensure young people complete relevant entry and exit surveys 

• Undertake relevant training associated with Sculpt UK’s work included but not restricted to child protection & safeguarding

• Contribute toward and keep up to date with Sculpt UK’s internal / external communications platform such as slack, newsletters and social media 

• Engage with Sculpt UK’s Youth Advisory Board members when invited to do so.

Bookings Coordinator: 

• Have a strong understanding of the USP of each programme offered by Sculpt 

• Manage booking system and calendar

• Take calls with schools and individuals about booking onto programmes 

• Manage bookings from outreach to completion of the programme 

• Book work experience days at partner organisations, including doing the associated administration

• Develop mini reports on each programme to feedback impact to schools and individuals 

• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of projects 

• Ensure that the Sculpt website has up-to-date programme information, application deadlines etc.

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our People & Culture team, providing professional HR support to managers and employees.  You will ideally have experience of providing HR in a small to medium sized organisation with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenging interim role.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting with all areas of recruitment including agreeing job descriptions, drafting and posting job adverts and managing applications
• Conducting all necessary pre-employment checks
• Issuing offer letters, employment contracts and other correspondence
• Onboarding of new staff and arranging induction training
• Dealing with first-line queries on HR policies and procedures, pay and benefits
• Highlighting any people issues to the HR Advisor and Director of People & Culture
• Assisting in monthly payroll preparation, inputting instructions on payroll spreadsheet
• Monitoring probation review and performance review paperwork and chasing missing documentation as needed
• Updating HR system with joiners, leavers and other changes as required

You should have:

• Previous experience as HR Officer or Assistant, ideally in a small HR team in a charity or SME
• Thorough and up to date knowledge of employment legislation
• Knowledge of best practice in HR policies and procedures together with experience of finding practical solutions to people issues
• Recruitment & selection experience
• Experience of using an HR database
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to deliver good customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Tact, discretion and experience of handling confidential information with sensitivity
• A self-starter, able to use initiative and work independently to overcome challenges

Key responsibilities

Fundraising and income generation

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
• Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.
• Vision setting and strong line management of the Public Affairs team, developing their capabilities, representing the team at SMT and to the Board and ensuring it continues to make a valuable - and valued - contribution to the achievement of Impetus’s objectives, through building and implementing high quality work plans for the team and ensuring the wider Impetus team is aligned on these.
• Increase awareness, understanding and trust in Impetus among key stakeholders, through regular, thoughtful engagement with the sector and securing high profile media coverage.
• Raise awareness of the education and employment gaps faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and what we can do to break down the barriers they face - through research, policy positioning and effective communications.

• Position Impetus as a ‘sought-after’ collaborative partner for other organisations with shared objectives; including regularly representing Impetus at relevant sector events.
• Support the delivery of our fundraising strategy and the successful delivery of our events programme, in particular, our flagship Transforming Lives Dinner.
• Where appropriate, collaborate with our portfolio partners to support their public affairs work and to leverage relevant partnerships, drawing on their insights to inform Impetus’ work.
• Contribute to the successful performance of the Senior Management Team, and provide expert advice to them, as well as to Trustees, on all public affairs-related activities and in the implementation of the broader strategy, engaging with decisions and challenges across the organisation.
• Oversee the running of our Public Affairs Committee (PAC), leveraging their skills, expertise and influence for the good of Impetus.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Digital Content & Communications Manager; a creative all-rounder who thrives on “doing,” not just talking strategy. You’ll have ownership of our digital content: crafting impactful videos, visuals, and copy for our social channels and websites, and creating engaging resources for marketing, learning and programme delivery. You’ll energise our digital platforms while continuously improving their effectiveness and reach.
This role is delivery-first: you’ll “own” the hands-on creation, scheduling, and optimisation of digital content. You’ll have input into what and when we share and will help shape digital plans, but the heart of the job is practical content production and sharing. Press and comms partnerships are supporting responsibilities, not the main focus.

Your Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Content Creation & Delivery (Primary)

• Design, produce, and post engaging multimedia assets (video, graphics, infographics, stories) for social media, and our websites.
• Amplify authentic stories, ideas, and perspectives from our beneficiaries to move and motivate audiences.

2. Social Media & Community Building

• Plan, schedule, post, and manage engagement on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, as well as newsletters
• Grow and nurture audiences—especially among schools, judges, volunteers, educators, and young people.
• Monitor trends and adapt content for impact.

3. Learning & Programme Resource Design

• Work with colleagues to create compelling, accessible learning resources and marketing materials for schools, corporate partners, funders, and events.
• Design digital newsletters, reports, and campaign materials that support fundraising, stewardship, and participant development.

4. Marketing of Programmes

• Provide marketing support to the programmes team to help promote our programmes to schools and other charities primarily through developing marketing collateral and supporting outbound email campaigns

5. Website Management & Continuous Improvement

• Manage day-to-day website updates, keeping our sites fresh, welcoming, and easy to navigate.
• Seek out and implement small improvements that enhance user experience, accessibility, and recruitment effectiveness.

6. Press, Media & Profile

• Develop and deliver a practical approach to meeting regional press grant requirements (e.g. one piece per final); contribute occasional press releases if needed.

7. Support the Team’s broader objectives

What We’re Looking For

• Strong track record in creating digital content, managing social media, and designing educational/promotional materials (charity, youth, or education sector experience a plus).
• Experience with website content management and the ability to identify and deliver incremental improvements.
• Skilled in video and design (Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar) and software to support website and newsletter design.
• Clear, compelling written English for content, newsletters, and reports.
• Ability to grow and nurture digital communities—especially for school, volunteer, and judge recruitment.

Role Summary  

Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-framed. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus on supporting people to share their experiences by working empathetically to gather and develop a diverse range of compelling personal stories on alcohol and alcohol harm, and working with colleagues to bring them to life across our channels. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels. You will have responsibility for wider tasks across the team, including monitoring inboxes, creating reports and supporting colleagues flexibly, particularly during busier campaign periods.
