An experienced digital professional, you will have worked for a charity before in a similar role. The Role (30hrs per week)

· To provide day to day management and supervision of our remote Support Team, providing guidance and support to deliver appropriate information and advice for our mums and families.

· Provide casework support to Mummy’s Star families.

· Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement consistent processes and ensure appropriate training and development for the Support Team.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the Support Team at Mummy’s Star. More specifically you will be responsible for:

Support Team Management (50%)

• Provide quality support, leadership, development and line management
• Oversee the delivery of individual, tailored support for families

· Regular review and assessment of caseload including co-ordinating weekly caseload meetings and management of new grant application flow to Trustees.

· Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families from contact via self referral (post, email, online and social media) and third party referrals (health care professionals, families and charities)

· Providing families with the appropriate support based on their needs, this will include 121 emotional support, signposting to financial/practical support and peer support via our online forum.

· Ensuring support to mums and families is reviewed at regular intervals. 

· Maintain and monitor the online peer support forum.

Other Duties and information about the role

· The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post as required to support the charity and beneficiaries.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal College of Physicians at a crucial time. The RCP is the oldest medical royal college representing doctors in over 30 specialties from cardiology and gastroenterology to geriatric and respiratory medicine.

The senior public affairs and policy manager will help us to understand the key policy issues in health and healthcare and lead our influencing work, developing the RCP’s networks, particularly in parliament and government.

You will help manage and oversee a portfolio of high-profile work across a range of topics, proactively identifying opportunities for the RCP to influence the agenda and working with RCP fellows and members to shape and progress our campaigns. You will lead and manage our public affairs work, contributing your expertise to design and lead influencing strategies, campaign planning and policy development for a range of issues.

You will have demonstrable experience of developing and delivering successful influencing strategies, using a range of parliamentary influencing tactics to achieve policy change. You will be as comfortable speaking to parliamentarians and briefing senior leaders for meetings as you are writing consultation responses and policy briefings. We are looking for a highly motivated Director of Training to take over strategic leadership of the Reprezent Training Programme. You’ll build on our existing model to develop and finance a full calendar of training delivery, working alongside the existing team of trainers and station staff to maximise the potential impact on our beneficiaries. Our programme has provided life-changing opportunities to thousands of previous trainees, both within and outside of the media industry, and this role would give you the chance to put your own unique spin on our established and well-loved brand.

Who We Are

Reprezent is a not-for-profit social enterprise and specialist youth development organisation. Our award-winning approach helps young people to realise their full personal potential by providing training and development programmes that enable them to jumpstart their careers and develop a core suite of social, emotional and broadcast skills. We have been a pivotal stepping stone for hundreds of artists and broadcasting presenters aspiring to break into the mainstream over the last two decades, including Stormzy, Munya Chawawa, Jorja Smith and Jamz Supernova, and have helped thousands more young people to meet other personal development goals.

At the helm of our operation is Reprezent Radio, a dynamic youth-led community radio station based in South London. Since 2010 the station’s hallmark has been empowering young voices and championing the narratives of diverse and underrepresented communities, and as a result many of our beneficiaries are those deemed ‘hardest-to-reach’ (young black South Londoners, early school leavers, second generation immigrants).

Our unique training model combines in-person training courses with work experience placements at the station, resulting in a cohesive programme of entry-to-advanced level training provision and an active waiting list of over two thousand people.

Location

This role is a hybrid position, working both from home and with regular attendance required at our office/training space in Peckham and our station headquarters in Brixton.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Executive Team to develop a Sustainable Growth Strategy for our training department. This should contain concrete plans for income generation and beneficiary impact KPIs for the short, medium and long term. This process will involve:

  • Strategic analysis of competitors and market need.

  • Critical evaluation of existing frameworks and assets.

  • Researching available grants and fundraising opportunities.

  • Exploring other revenue opportunities through networks and brand partnerships.

• Once the Sustainable Growth Strategy has been drawn up, management of its implementation and ongoing development. This will include:

The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre is seeking a Head of Communications to lead our high-performing communications team. The successful candidate will lead strategic, high-impact external communications across the organisation. They will work closely with our global team across 30 countries involved in research and analysis. They will bring talent, enthusiasm, knowledge and experience. This role currently manages a team of five and reports to the Executive Director. The communications team is tasked to ensure strategic and effective media, social media, and delivery of our digital platform to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic communications: Lead the strategic evolution of our global communications as a critical component of our strategies to make change happen. Drive impact by building strategic media and digital outreach that amplifies the work of ourselves and allies, and influences key audiences. Work across our global team to develop a shared understanding of grand strategy, key audiences, the fast-changing context, and how communications can drive positive change. With the management team, set the organisation’s communications strategy and ensure we have the right skills, knowledge, and connections to deliver it. Collaborate with regional and thematic leads to ensure our communications strategies help deliver the human rights impact our programmes seek with allies.
• Lead the communications team: Support a strong team, nurturing their skills to inspire effective and high-impact communications, with an emphasis on digital first. Ensure the work of the team is expertly planned and executed within budget and meets donor requirements. Deliver our performance management system throughout the year to ensure support, well-being, and accountability. Work with the Senior Management Team to manage strategic and operational opportunities and risks.
• Drive and execute innovative, advocacy-oriented communications: Work with senior management, regional and thematic teams to drive a dynamic approach to communications, alongside spotting proactive and reactive opportunities, building higher-level relationships with journalists and partners, and developing tactical approaches. Play an active role in executing impactful, advocacy-oriented communications strategies for key products and events.
• Digital action platform and technology: Work with the Web Content and Digital Officer to manage the development of the Resource Centre’s leading multi-functional digital platform, and our substantial data as compelling evidence. Develop an understanding of the organisation’s target audiences and ensure we deliver features that effectively support them to effectively organise and present their research data and promote human rights in business.
• Programme design and fundraising: Work with our development (fundraising) team and programme leads to ensure communications, and digital technology work is built into project design and budget, and that funders’ information needs are well-served.

Key competencies and attributes

Strategic communication: At least 5 years’ experience delivering top class communications and expert understanding of how strategic communications deliver change. Demonstrable experience in strategy design and execution. Sharp news sense and editorial judgement; strong grasp of the power of social media to make change happen; and a global perspective to communications.

People manager: At least 3 years’ experience in line management. Experience in nurturing and sustaining a high performing team that thrives in a diverse, and global context. Demonstrable success in supporting project teams to deploy communications strategically for impact.

Project manager: Track record of leading and/or implementing complex communications projects including planning, execution, and evaluation. Demonstratable success planning communications for a busy organisation working closely with allies.

Digital technology & data: Experience of design and delivery of website, digital tools, and data to make change happen. Experience of working with developers to manage and maintain a website.

Human rights, and economic justice expertise: Familiarity with social justice or human rights issues and a willingness to keep up to date. Experience communicating economic justice and human rights issues desirable.

Team player: Experience of, and commitment to, working in high-performing teams that are highly collaborative and focused on outcomes. Experience of working with colleagues remotely, and in multicultural and diverse working environments desirable.

Networking: Track record of developing strategic relationships to enhance communications and advocacy efforts, e.g. civil society partners, consultants, journalists, opinion-formers. Experience building relationships of trust and joint action with allied organisations is strongly desirable.

Languages: Must be fluent in English. Additionally, French, German, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian language skills would also be an asset (all languages of our digital action platform).

About the role:

The fundraising team raise approximately £400K annually and aspiring to grow by over half a million by 2025. You will be responsible for leading and growing income via the charities Corporate Partnerships and Sporting Challenges. The ideal candidate will have high-level experience in corporate fundraising.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide excellent account management to some of the charities existing and new corporate relationships.
• Carry out effective prospect research.
• Engage companies in our sporting challenges.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A proven track record of successfully managing a charity’s corporate partnerships and sporting challenges.
• Good knowledge of the principals of customer service/supporter care and donor development.
• Sound knowledge of GDPR and the impact on fundraising in terms of on-going consent and deletions of donors.
• Significant experience of working within a charity in a similar fundraising role.
• Experience of developing new fundraising products and building a programme of engagement to grow fundraising income.

The Role

The Director of Finance and Operations is a key position within this nascent and highly exciting charity. Overseeing finance, IT and facilities, you will operate in both a hands on and strategic capacity for the Jacobs Futura Foundation, designing and rolling out appropriate controls and processes whilst managing outsourced partner functions.

Working closely with (and where appropriate, deputising for) the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a key role in shaping the establishment of finance systems and processes for the Jacobs Futura Foundation. You will work as a key business partner across the Foundation, working with programmatic leads to help inform on and improve financial understanding. You will lead on organisational budgeting, forecasting, international management reporting, as well as manage the relationships with the current outsourced finance partners. • Lead on organisational budgeting and forecasting, including short and medium term financial planning

Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors (London) - £29,000  per annum plus London Weighting (pro-rata)

Here at One Million Mentors, our aim is to ensure that every young person in the country has access to a trained mentor as they transition into adulthood. We believe that investing in mentors will help to address the skills gap agenda and improve social cohesion.

This is one of two Regional Manager roles in London; a Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors, and Regional Manager for Programme Delivery.

The Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors focuses on mentor supply, securing sufficient volunteers primarily for London and also for 1MM’s national outreach. The role is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors, in London and nationally. This includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of some corporate programmes. Also to consider safeguarding measures, fundraising, meeting growth targets and leading all aspects of mentor management. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

• Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

• Providing ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Employers, and maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

• Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).  We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.
