Team: Casework
Location: Mainly at our partner sites in Kensington and Chelsea, however you will also be located at our office (Argon House, Argon Mews, London, SE6 1BJ) and there will be opportunities to work flexibly from home.

Areas of responsibility
The post holder will be responsible for the following:
- Providing a specialist advice and advocacy service to the homeless guests of our services, which include partner day centres and night shelters through the winter season.
- Employing creative thinking and practices to ensure that guests are supported and motivated to achieve their goals.
- Attending appointments with guests occasionally when needed
- Referring and signposting guests to accommodation providers, health services and other relevant internal and external support services, as necessary
- Maintaining good communication with the Managers of our partnered Drop-in Centres, Glass Door colleagues and local statutory and non-statutory services.
- Attending meetings with the casework team, external service providers and partner organisations when required
- Collating statistics and outcome measurements of the casework service for both internal and external use
- Maintaining a well-organised and easily accessible administration system for the casework programme in line with relevant legislation (e.g. GDPR)

Person Specification
Essential
- At least one year experience of working one-on-one and assessing the needs of homeless people or similar disadvantaged client groups
- Empathetic attitude to homeless and vulnerably housed people
- Up-to-date knowledge of the welfare issues and legislation affecting homeless people
- Knowledge of relevant support services available to homeless people, particularly in West London

The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a key senior member of the finance team and will help shape the strategic management and direction of the team. This is a key role supporting both our fundraising and communications activities. You will work closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to deliver compelling fundraising applications, steward donors, grow our community fundraising, and manage Caxton’s public-facing communications across digital and print. Key Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Research, plan and draft compelling grant and funding applications.
- Maintain and update our CRM system (Beacon), ensuring records are accurate and communications are timely.
- Plan and deliver key supporter events.
- Lead on the development, delivery and stewardship of community fundraising activities, including challenge events.
- Prepare timely and engaging reports and updates for funders.

The role will involve undertaking a broad range of important duties, including taking responsibility for a key part of our organisation. This will include reporting on monthly performance, managing grants (both income and expenditure grants), preparing the annual budget, preparing the annual statutory accounts and taking responsibility for the annual audit, reporting to and liaising with our international head office, and preparing the agenda and papers for and attending trustee meetings.

The role:
- Responsibility for all aspects of the financial management of Greenpeace Environmental Trust (GET), a registered charity.
- Responsibility for the preparation of annual statutory accounts, annual report, and conducting the annual audit.
- Work with the Events team to ensure that the budgeting, financial control and management, and reporting of the Glastonbury Festival and all other festivals and events is conducted in an accurate and timely manner.
- Preparation of the annual budget and presentation to the board of trustees.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and written finance report to trustees and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate cash flow management and forecasting procedures to proactively manage all cash balances.
- Manage the grant-making process and account for all grant income received.
- Review restricted income, ensuring correct documentation is received and the restrictions are applied.
- Maintain policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Continually work to develop and improve the quality and usefulness of our reporting.
- Providing financial analysis, including trends and areas of opportunity or concern for budget holders and other stakeholders.
- Work with other Deputy Head of Finance and the programme co-ordinator to proactively improve all aspects of the financial management of the programme department’s activities in relation to activity funded by GET.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified, or a finalist Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other chartered accountancy qualification) or will be qualified by experience.
- Proven experience of working in a finance function in a hands-on role.
- Extensive technical knowledge of accounting principles and best practice, with reference to specific UK charity accounting rules and regulations.
- Substantial experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- Experience of involvement in financial year-end and annual statutory audit.
- Proven experience of delivering a business partnering-focused service and providing in-depth insight, analysis and guidance to budget-holders.
- Support and believe in the aims of Greenpeace.
- Have highly developed communication skills with credibility to operate outside the finance function up to senior management level.

In addition to this, you would also work alongside your line manager to deliver a comprehensive learning and employment service, that meets client need and is delivered in line with the organisation’s strategic aims, objectives, and outcomes-based approach. As Healthcare Professional Education & Engagement Lead at Crohn's & Colitis UK, you will be integral in the development of healthcare professional online education and engagement networks in both primary and secondary care. You will also work on a variety of other healthcare professional projects. This is a role that is both fulfilling and challenging and requires travel to healthcare professional conferences. You will be supporting the Health Services Manager and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, all with a view to improving the quality and the standards of health services for all people affected by Crohn's and Colitis.

Our location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. But one thing we have learned from the pandemic, is that we are able to work very effectively from home. In this role, there is plenty of scope for doing that, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings and the charity meets four times a year in the office at our mandatory 'All Staff Together' days.
