About the role
Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service for England is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and over two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.
This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form peer support groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.
You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.
About you
We are seeking a dynamic person located in or close to Greater Manchester, and willing to travel into priority areas across the North West of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:
- Establish new peer support groups across a diverse range of communities
- Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers
- Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives
- Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
- Support the sustainability of existing Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the Hub (our network support Team)
- Keep precise records to create reports, extract learning, and share key insights throughout Kinship, enabling the organisation to enhance our services and products continuously
In the role of Senior Peer Support Development Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers.
You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey toward sustainability.
An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Essential requirements include:
- Experience of team leadership or line management and supervision of a small team and managing performance to deliver targets effectively.
- Proven experience in reaching and establishing strong relationships with hidden or underserved communities in person.
- Experience developing peer support communities.
- Proven experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers in community settings with an emphasis on understanding and working with vulnerable volunteers.
- Proven experience of ensuring outcomes and impacts of services is evidenced through high-quality data collection.
- Evidence of delivering training/support to volunteers,
- Strong facilitation skills and essential experience of peer support or user led groups with charity beneficiaries.
- Understanding of safeguarding particularly around vulnerable families.

Summary
The Lead Strategy and Impact Analyst plays a key role in developing practical, evidence-based policies that support effective mission and ministry approaches within the Church of England's Vision and Strategy priority areas.
In this role, you will analyse and synthesise data from evaluations of funded programmes, commissioned research, and wider social trends, building a coherent evidence base to inform both policy and practice.
As a member of the Insights and Engagement sub-team, you will work collaboratively across departments and teams to:

We are looking for a motivated and pro-active individual to join us as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Senior Manager, Team and Operations. The role will support the Society’s activities by providing direct assistance to the Leadership team, managing communications with our growing network of key volunteers and working with the CEO on fundraising strategies.
The role will require someone who has excellent organisation, time management and administrative experience, and some experience working in the charitable sector (knowledge of fundraising an advantage). Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director to lead ProVeg UK in this next phase of growth and impact. This role combines strategic leadership with high-level stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and organisational development. The ideal candidate brings entrepreneurial energy, exceptional communication skills, strong credentials in the UK NGO sector, and a passion for food systems transformation.
ProVeg UK has a very strong track record in influencing public food through its School Plates programme, which has, to date, swapped over 47m meals from meat-based to plant-based or veggie. We work in over 8,000 schools across the UK, reaching over 1.3 million children every day. We are keen to expand this excellent work to a wider range of stakeholders, including hospitals (a new manager has just been recruited to develop a Hospital Plates pilot), policymakers, the corporate sector and media.
The Executive Director will be at the forefront of this expansion, while also ensuring the continued success of our existing programmes. As such, this is a high-impact role, offering the opportunity to be a catalyst for positive change in the UK’s plant-based and alternative protein movement — helping to shape a more sustainable future.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and deliver ProVeg UK’s long-term strategy aligned with ProVeg International’s mission
- Lead the design and scaling of UK-based programmes that create measurable impact and reflect local opportunities and needs
- Represent the organisation to increase ProVeg’s visibility and influence.
- Sit as a member of the ProVeg C.I.C. Board.
Stakeholder Engagement & Fundraising
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with strategic partners including food companies, government agencies, foundations, and major donors
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including government tenders and philanthropic partnerships, with a strong focus on climate and health-related funding
- Act as a public thought leader and spokesperson in the UK for food systems transformation in line with ProVeg International’s strategy

Team & Organisational Development

Qualifications
Essential
- Proven leadership experience (5+ years at deputy- or C-level) in a UK-based NGO or mission-driven organisation, ideally in food, climate, or health sectors
- Demonstrated success in fundraising and partnership building, especially with foundations, governments, or climate philanthropies
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to develop and execute impactful strategies
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with experience speaking to media and government bodies, at public events, and with internal stakeholders of all levels (Board, Senior Leadership Team, Staff and Volunteers)
- Deep understanding of UK funding landscape, policy environment, and relevant NGOs

About the Role:
As the Foundation starts supporting its third cohort of Scholars, we need an organised, communications focused and proactive individual to grow our capacity in two significant areas of our work: our regular in-person events, and our recruitment and assessment process.
You will take the lead on, and quality assure, all Martingale events including our Welcome Dinner for new Scholars at the Royal Society, autumn assessment centres, regular training days for Masters and PhD students, our week-long summer residential retreats for Scholars, as well as events for current and potential funders and other stakeholders. You will also help secure high-profile speakers from relevant industries. While these events will be delivered in collaboration with other members of the team, you will bring your event management expertise to drive forward planning and delivery, and ensure these events are of the highest standards for Scholars and stakeholders.
You will also play a vital role in Martingale’s recruitment and admissions work. You will be line-managed by the Communications Manager and will support in the dissemination of Martingale recruitment materials to relevant universities, student societies, charities and learned societies, to ensure a high number of applications to the Martingale Scholarship programme. You will also work closely with the Programme Manager and Programme Officer to deliver well-run assessment centres and programme events across England and Scotland. You will also support the Communications Manager through producing high-quality content relating to Martingale events, to be distributed through our social media channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Event management
- Research and secure high-quality external venues for Martingale events, and work effectively with teams at those venues to ensure events are delivered within budget and to a high standard
- Liaise closely with colleagues on event purpose, scope, and intended outcomes, and plan effectively using Martingale’s CRM and other project management tools as necessary
- Be the key point of contact for all events, including briefing colleagues and externals to ensure roles and responsibilities are clear
- Where necessary, work with the Team Administrator to ensure travel and accommodation is booked for staff, Scholars, and stakeholders
- Research and recommend high-profile speakers for Martingale events, acting as key contact for all speakers and trainers for events

Recruitment and assessment

- Help manage enquiries sent through to our social media platforms

Communications

As a Benefits and Debt Worker you will provide service users with advice and support on finance and debt. About the role
Working in close collaboration with the Senior Mass Fundraising Lead, the role will manage and deliver a variety of community-led fundraising initiatives and dynamic challenge events that engage supporters and generate vital unrestricted funds for children affected by neuroblastoma.
The role focuses on building strong relationships with fundraisers, volunteers and ambassadors, providing guidance, support and motivation to help them surpass their fundraising goals.
