About the Role
You’ll lead the financial strategy, planning and operations for the Orpheus Centre, ensuring sustainability, transparency and compliance while enabling innovation and growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with Trustees and senior leaders, you will:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and insight to drive organisational success.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and audit.

About You

About the role
As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be the first point of contact for someone who comes to Crisis for help to prevent or end their homelessness. You will:
- Welcome them to the service on site and at partner agencies,
- Listen carefully and non-judgementally to their story,
- Complete thorough Crisis and Mainstay assessments using a trauma informed approach,
- Agree realistic options and the support needed to assist them to prevent their homelessness or a pathway out of homelessness.
- Help them formulate a holistic plan and help them take the initial steps, where necessary.
- Hold a caseload of members who require short term intervention to end their homelessness.
About you
- Experience of working successfully with disadvantaged/or socially excluded groups and individuals, utilising a psychologically informed approach.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring accessible, welcoming, and safe ‘front of house’ environment in a busy service.
- Experience of assessing presenting needs, and an understanding of strengths-based assessments. You will have empathy and understanding of the barriers to accessing services.
- Ability to manage successful relationships with external agencies and relevant service providers and successfully advocate on members behalf.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to ensure accurate record keeping on a variety of Case Management Systems/Databases.

As an Employment Consultant, you will be assisting veterans across the region back into work. Role Overview: Fundraising and Operations Director
The successful candidate will lead RLS’s income generation through our next phase of development. You’ll oversee our relationships with key funders, individual giving, our approach to major donors and our communications. You’ll work closely with the Management Team and trustees to set and implement fundraising strategy and highlight and manage risk.
As a member of the Management Team, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day leadership and oversight of the organisation, with involvement in decisions from strategy to HR, project design and many other aspects of our work.
Core Responsibilities:
Fundraising strategy and development
- Lead the development and delivery of RLS’s fundraising strategy to meet our funding targets and deliver our strategy.
- Meaningfully involve and guide the Management Team, trustees and Fundraising Officer in strategy development and delivery.
- Develop new funding sources as appropriate.
- Ensure that funding sources fit with RLS’s values and our moral and ethical fundraising policy.
Organisational leadership
- Work with the Management Team and trustees to lead on the delivery of RLS’s strategic objectives.
- Work with the Management Team to lead RLS, including finding creative solutions to issues as they arise and ensuring the smooth running of the organisation.

Lead on funder relationships

Our consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home. We not only take care of patients' physical needs, but we also consider their emotional, spiritual and social needs too. And we support families and close friends, both during illness and in bereavement.

We also provide compassionate, dedicated and dignified care for patients at the end of their life. The Role:
You will act as the first point of contact for individuals, groups who are fundraising on the hospice’s behalf, providing information, support and advice and delivering excellent supporter care.
You will be responsible for maximising participation in community fundraising activities through effective promotion of the wide range of opportunities to organise events and raise funds on the hospice’s behalf including the planning and delivery of community-based mass participation events such as the Bolton Hospice Reindeer Run.
You will inspire support and help raise the profile of the work of the hospice from community groups, associations, companies and schools by providing talks and presentations about the organisation.
Developing new and existing relationships, networking and identifying and approaching potential supporters is key to the role.
What you need:
You’ll need to be creative and flexible in order to continually adapt to the changing fundraising climate and evolve the hospice’s fundraising appeals programme as necessary.

About Trade
Trade Sexual Health (Trade for short) is a small health and wellbeing charity based in Leicester. We currently have eight staff and more than 40 volunteers.
Trade began as a grassroots gay community response to HIV in Leicester in the late 1980s. Throughout the 1990s, Trade worked creatively to spread information about sexual health and HIV prevention to gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men in the city (GBMSM).
Trade has been a registered charity since 2000. Over the last 25 years, our core work has focused on improving the sexual health of gay and bisexual men across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. We have always taken a holistic approach to understanding and addressing the range of issues that might impact gay and bisexual men’s ability to look after their sexual health. As a result, we started a counselling service – Approach Counselling – to support community members in improving their mental wellbeing.
We now draw on this experience to tackle wider health inequalities related to sexual health and HIV, and to provide peer support for anyone living with HIV in the areas where we work. For a small charity, Trade has always ‘punched above its weight’ and we have a national profile for the innovative sexual health work we do.
We currently hold contracts to deliver sexual health promotion and HIV prevention outreach in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland to LGBTQ+ people, asylum seekers, and a range of racialised communities that experience significant inequalities in relation to their sexual health.
We have a history of providing peer support to people living with HIV, and this is now becoming a growing strand of our work. This post is central to the delivery of HIV Peer Support in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (and builds on our experience of delivering similar services in Northamptonshire).
Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver first-line peer support to people living with HIV, of all genders and backgrounds, in Leicestershire. The postholder will be based at the Trade offices in central Leicester and will work closely with clinical staff at the Jarvis Clinic at Leicester Royal Infirmary. They will ensure that people who have been recently diagnosed, are struggling with their diagnosis, or are re-engaging with HIV care feel supported and have the information they need to live well and thrive with HIV.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), bringing personal knowledge and experience to the role.
- Collaborate with a small group of volunteer peer mentors to support people living with HIV.

About the role
CTI is part of a housing-led response to ending homelessness. CTI is an evidence-based model, designed for times of transition for people who require support to navigate often fragmented systems. It uses a time limited case management approach to support people through a period of transition which works towards preventing and ending homelessness.
The model is strictly time limited and prescriptive in its application and Crisis’ CTI pilot will run close to the CTI principles. The timing of movement through the phases is defined by the Programme model.
CTI consists of four main phases:
- Pre CTI: in which the relationship with the client is developed and their goals and ambitions are identified, (no timescale – could be days, months or years)
- Transition: providing support & beginning to connect client to people and agencies that will assume the primary role of support and enable them to meet their goals (3 months)

- Transfer of care: terminating CTI and stepping right back (3 months)
The post holder will be working within the framework of CTI, supporting prison leavers from prison into accommodation, thus preventing homelessness on release from custody.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience of delivering person centred support with statutory and non-statutory services within the criminal justice system, offering coaching and mentoring, learning support and/or personal development training, ideally working to matrix standards. You will also have an appreciation of delivering this within a time limited framework.
You will demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting homeless or vulnerably housed individuals which could include mental illness, addiction, the benefit system and housing. Being committed to empowering homeless and vulnerably housed individuals is essential to this role.

CONTEXT OF THIS ROLE:
At Purposeful, communications is political. It is how we amplify girls’ voices, sharpen feminist narratives, and push back against regressive agendas. The Communications Director will sit at the heart of this work - shaping and delivering a bold communications strategy aligned with Purposeful’s vision, mission, and growth.
This role leads the stewardship of Purposeful’s voice, visual identity, and storytelling practice, ensuring that everything we produce - whether op-eds, reports, campaigns, or digital content - carries our politics with clarity and conviction. The Communications Director will work closely with the Co-CEOs and across all Purposeful teams, including Advocacy, grant-making, Learning & Insights, Programmes, and Resource Mobilisation, to amplify girls’ organising, showcase our impact, and influence the broader philanthropic and activist ecosystem.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role, requiring a deep commitment to feminist movements, an instinct for storytelling as political practice, and a proven track record of positioning organisations on the global stage.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Communications Strategy & Leadership

Lead on delivery and implementation of a new communications strategy, building on 2025 planning foundations.

Work closely with the Co-CEOs and director team to horizon scan and adapt strategy in response to organisational vision and external landscape.

Provide leadership to a small team of staff and consultants (designers, digital specialists, artists) and work collaboratively with partner communications leads on joint campaigns and initiatives.

Meticulously manage and forecast the communications and editorial budget, ensuring value for money and strong planning.

Track and analyse content performance, using insights to refine reach and engagement.
2. Storytelling & Content Development
-
Oversee the creation of compelling storytelling content that highlights Purposeful’s impact, amplifies girls’ and young feminists’ voices, and influences funders.

Lead editorial planning and content workflows, balancing evergreen storytelling with crisis-response or time-sensitive outputs.

Oversee production and capture of content from live and digital events (webinars, IG Lives, panels, etc.).

Coordinate brand refresh projects, including a website refresh, and strengthen Purposeful’s digital visibility with a focus on graphic-led content across social platforms.
3. Writing & Editorial Oversight

Review and edit all external content to ensure quality, editorial standard, and alignment with Purposeful’s voice and values.

Write op-eds, blogs, social media posts, campaign messaging, press materials, and executive summaries.

Collaborate with colleagues in Learning & Insights to integrate data into storytelling and publications.

Edit and manage the production of publications and reports, commissioning artists and graphic designers as needed.

Provide editorial oversight for media projects, including radio, film, and animation.
4. Media Engagement & Positioning

Cultivate strong relationships with international, regional, and local media outlets.

Proactively position Purposeful in global and regional conversations, ensuring girls’ and feminist movements’ voices are at the centre.

Lead on preparing and supporting spokespersons, including Co-CEOs and external partners, for media engagement.

Design and execute media strategies for key campaigns, events, and publications.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Experience & Skills

Proven experience developing and delivering communications strategies aligned with organisational goals.

Demonstrated leadership in managing small teams and consultants.

Strong hands-on skills in digital communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe, basic video editing).

Extensive experience in content planning and editorial workflows.

Strong published track record (op-eds, blogs, media features) and evidence of positioning organisations in the public spotlight.

Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience commissioning and managing creative contributors.

Experience building and maintaining media relationships, particularly in activist and philanthropic contexts.

Proven experience overseeing websites and digital platforms, using analytics to inform strategy.
