Why Access Social Care Exists
Every day, millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need social care at some point in our lives.
We all have a right to hold public bodies to account, but most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 92% drop in legal aid cases since 2010 means that we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.
What we do
Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it.
With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded, and we all get the support we need.
We provide rights awareness training to front line managers, and legal advice and support to families and individuals. As well as providing access to justice, our aim is to drive system level change through evidence-led influencing and strategic casework.

About the role
This role plays a key part in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the team’s day-to-day operations. It offers a varied mix of administrative and coordination responsibilities, providing vital support across the organisation and helping to keep processes running seamlessly. Responsibilities
Travel and Logistics Coordination
· Coordinate and book travel, hotels, flights, meeting rooms, and refreshments, for team members and organisation-wide activities
· Maintain clear and accurate records relevant to bookings and logistics
Administrative and Systems Support
· Handle ad-hoc administrative requests as required by team members
· Process and fulfil Adobe-related requests, such as document editing, file conversion, or e-signature tasks
· Offer internal meeting and event support for organisation-wide meetings, ensuring they are diarised and attendance is managed
Inbox and Data Management
· Monitor and respond to the Enquiries inbox, ensuring all communications are handled promptly and professionally.
· Oversee CRM data management, ensuring records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with data protection policies
Events and Engagement Support
· Assist with planning and delivery of internal events, including logistics, attendee management, and on-the-day coordination

JUSTICE is looking to recruit an Interim Head of Governance and Operations to join our friendly, values-led team. This is a fixed term post for 12 months (maternity cover) and provides an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of governance and operational management.
We are looking for an individual who has an interest in the purpose of the charity (to improve the UK justice system so that it is fair and within everyone’s reach), as well as a keen interest in taking responsibility for a diverse and wide range of tasks from providing and overseeing the secretariat functions related to our governance and risk as well as leading in important cross-cutting areas such as audit, budget management and providing HR support. This role will really suit someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable with a degree of autonomy and who thrives in a role where no two days are the same.
This role plays a central role in the workings of the organisation including with our Policy Team, our Comms Team and our Development Team. They also join Senior Management Team meetings and all Board and Committee meetings. The role currently line manages one direct report but this may be increased to two and reports into and works closely with the Chief Executive. This role also leads on the relationships with our accountants (who deliver our financial management and accounting functions) and other external contractors.
JUSTICE is a law reform and human rights organisation, working to improve processes and policies to support everyone, particularly marginalised groups, be able to seek justice or a remedy when their rights have been breached or the law has been broken. We also seek to improve the justice system as a whole, ensuring that laws are clear and consistent and that the government and other key decisionmakers are held to account.
We are a founding member of The Justice Hub, which is situated next to St Paul’s Cathedral. in London. We also have staff based in other locations including in Manchester, Sheffield and Edinburgh. In addition, this role requires a minimum of 5 days per month working in our London offices. We also close the office between 25 December and 1 January (inclusive), which is addition to the annual leave mentioned above. This role enables the DEC and our 15 member charities to effectively respond to humanitarian emergencies and provide timely, quality, community-focused assistance.
As an Accountability & Learning Officer, alongside your efforts to contribute to our learning and growth, you will shape our work to influence key policy agendas. The Role
The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising is responsible for the majority of income generation for our charity. The Switch raises income from corporate volunteering partnerships and through grant applications to other trusts and charities, which together contribute circa £800,000 per year. This is a role that requires strategic thinking, relationship and negotiation skills, and the ability to meet income targets.
This role will manage and grow our current key corporate partners, ensuring sustainability and longevity in our partnerships. The person will be responsible for communicating effectively with corporate partners on a strategic level, to understand how we can improve our volunteering offer and communicate impact to their business.
The job-holder will seek new partnerships in diverse industries where we have fewer stakeholders, to ensure our young people work with companies and volunteers from wide-ranging sectors.
In this position you will scope fundraising opportunities from grant and trusts, and be adept at assessing our viability so that applications we submit have a higher rate of success than average.
As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will create new income streams which The Switch has not considered before, for example legacy funding, individual giving, corporate match funding. This will improve our financial stability.
In addition to income generation, this role will lead the Partnerships team and manage two to three staff as follows :

Details
· The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising leads the Partnerships Team and reports to the CEO.
· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays.
· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 days a week, with Wednesdays mandatory in the office.
· Flexibility will be required to cover meetings or events outside of these hours and WFH days.

Our givers manage most of their finances through apps, and we believe their generosity should be just as intuitive. Our iOS Giving app has already seen strong engagement, and we are currently in the process of re-platforming it into React Native to support a more scalable and maintainable future.
We’re looking for an experienced Lead React Native Developer to take over from this re-platforming work and carry it forward — refining and extending the app, while also setting the direction for how we build future mobile apps. You’ll be the first dedicated React Native developer on the team, so the role offers both the autonomy to shape our mobile stack and the opportunity to grow into a leadership position as we expand the team.
