In this exciting role you will work within the small Communciations & Fundraising Team to maximise income generation from individual givers through your ability to manage outstanding supporter care, accurate database management and targeted marketing via email, post, and social media.

You will hold key responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of all our fundraising and marketing data and be responsible for ensuring the correct targeting of all marketing approaches. You will work closely with, and in support of all other members of the Fundraising and Communications teams. If you have experience of managing volunteers, all the better.

About the Development Operations & Stewardship Manager role:

This job sits within the Museum’s Development Team, supporting a team of fundraisers to build philanthropic relationships, corporate partnerships and run National Museums Scotland’s Membership programme. The Role

Morgan Law are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading global membership and awarding body to recruit their new People and Culture Manager.

Please note; this role offers predominantly remote working with the requirement to attend the central London office 2 days per month.

As People and Culture Manager, reporting to the Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you'll play a key role at the heart this dynamic, purpose-led organisation by taking ownership of the full employee lifecycle, driving meaningful people initiatives, and helping foster an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing organisation.

Responsibilities will include:

• HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle - Leading all aspects of day-to-day HR, from recruitment and onboarding to performance and offboarding
• Payroll & Benefits - Managing payroll processes and employee benefits with precision, liaising with external providers and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Culture & Engagement - Bringing the people strategy to life through initiatives that champion diversity, inclusion, wellbeing, and staff engagement.
• Performance & Development - Maintaining frameworks for feedback and growth, supporting managers to bring the best out of their teams.
• Technology & Systems - Keeping HR systems running smoothly, reviewing and developing HR processes to improve efficiency and user experience - experience with BambooHR would be ideal.
• Compliance & Safeguarding - keeping up to date with employment law, HR policies, and best practices - and playing a key role in safeguarding responsibilities.
• Strategy & Insight - Contributing valuable insights from your HR work to help shape long-term people strategies and decisions.

To be considered you will require:

• Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally as a standalone or lead HR professional in a small to medium sized setting
• Confidence to manage the full range of employee lifecycle activity independently
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Payroll administration experience
• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
• Tech savvy and skilled in HR systems and data management, ideally with experience of implementing HR systems and working with external HR partners
• Experience in the charity, not-for-profit, or membership sectors
• Familiarity with safeguarding frameworks would be desirable

Area Manager

Permanent, 35 hours

£36,429.86 a year This role will also include a Car allowance of £5,000 per annum.

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead and support dedicated shop teams in the London.

In this pivotal role, you will inspire, guide, and empower your shop teams to perform at their best. Through strong leadership and a hands-on approach, you’ll drive commercial success while building teams who are passionate ambassadors for Scope in their local communities.

Permanent - 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday does include quarterly weekend working). Some home working is involved.

The role will be supporting 13 Scope shops in London. These include: Acton, Basildon, Bexleyheath, Camberwell, Camden, Clapham Junction, Dartford, Fulham, Fulham, Ruislip, Surbiton, Tolworth, Walthamstow, Woolwich.

Overnights stays and travel will be an expected part of the role.

The role

The role is ideal for someone who has experience as an Area Manager, especially if you have worked in fashion or the charity sector. We also welcome candidates from a retail leadership background who have transferable skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

· Maximise sales and effectively manage expenditure to achieve profit targets.

· Oversee shop teams composed of both paid colleagues and volunteers to drive performance.

· Support and deliver key activities from the Retail Strategy and Business Plan.

· Identify and develop the potential of colleagues across the Area.

· Build effective working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

· Positively promote Scope with the public in the local community

About you

· You will have a love of sustainable fashion and bring extensive, multi-site experience managing a large team.

· You will be commercial, resilient, have a can-do attitude and be a great coach and an inspirational leader.

Shop hours

It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day. So some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. Our full time hours are 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.

This is an exciting time to join our fundraising team in the Development, Alumni and Campaigns Office. Our £100m fundraising campaign, Dare to Do Different, is underway and we wish to appoint an individual who shares in our passion for philanthropy.

You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic fundraising team where you will be personally responsible for managing a portfolio of individual relationships. You will cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of major donor prospects (this includes holding regular face-to-face meetings) to secure significant donations towards our themes of Climate, Health, Creative and Campus.

Degree-educated or with equivalent qualifications/experience, you must have excellent communication skills and a proven track record in fundraising or relationship management.

This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.
