We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Officer to join our friendly and purpose-driven marketing and events team. If you’re a creative and proactive marketer with strong content creation skills, a flair for planning and delivering effective campaigns, and have hands-on experience of email marketing, this could be the perfect next step for you.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days look the same. One day you might be crafting digital content that brings our membership offer to life; the next, you’ll be supporting a targeted, insight-driven campaign to grow participation in the Canine Health Scheme.
In this role, you’ll support the tactical planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to meet engagement, participation, and growth targets. You’ll bring ideas to life through high-quality content - capturing and editing photos and videos, creating eye-catching graphics, and shaping stories that champion BVA’s mission and impact. You’ll also take ownership of planning, writing, and building regular email campaigns, using segmentation, A/B testing, and automation to drive results.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, curious, and full of creative energy - someone who can juggle multiple projects while keeping a close eye on detail, deadlines, and performance. You’ll be confident using a range of digital tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, design software, and analytics tools like GA4.

About the role
We’re looking for a highly organised, creative, and proactive Events Officer to coordinate and deliver our programme of in-person and online events.
You’ll be the go-to person for making sure everything runs smoothly — from planning and logistics to communication and on-the-day delivery. Working closely with other part-time staff, volunteers, and local event hosts, you’ll play a key role in bringing the BMS community together.

What you’ll be doing
- Plan and deliver a wide range of BMS events — from scientific meetings to workshops, training sessions, and outreach days.
- Manage event logistics including venues, accommodation, catering, AV and delegate communications.
- Coordinate online events using platforms such as Zoom.
- Liaise with speakers, volunteers, and committees to make sure everything runs seamlessly.
- Oversee event budgets and timelines.
- Create promotional materials (e.g. digital programmes, flyers, graphics) using Canva or similar tools.
- Handle registrations, enquiries, and on-the-day coordination.

About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years’ experience delivering successful events in a charity, membership, or learned society setting.
- Is confident running both in-person and virtual events.
- Brings strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Is great at building relationships and working with volunteers, working groups and committees.
- Is comfortable working independently from home, while staying connected with a remote team.
- Has experience with event tools, databases and GDPR-compliant data handling.
- Can create professional-looking event materials using Canva (or similar).
- Desirable: a background or interest in natural sciences or mycology would be ideal, but curiosity and enthusiasm are just as valuable.

About the role
The role of the Partnerships Engagement Officer is to work closely with our partners and colleagues across Future Frontiers to support the smooth delivery of our programmes and share stories and impact information through a variety of communications channels. This role is key to delivering our work and making a lasting difference for young people from under-resourced backgrounds on their education and career journeys.
The Partnerships Engagement Officer helps manage vital relationships with volunteers, schools and businesses, and acts as a first point of contact for onboarding queries. This role also helps to promote our partnership activities through producing and sharing marketing and communications content, such as LinkedIn posts and impact reports.
Your responsibilities:
Set up and enable successful programmes

The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly-motivated and organised Membership Operations Administrator to join the charity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their customer service and administrative skills.

Main areas of work
- Manage and respond to queries from members via email and telephone, ensuring that you respond professionally and within agreed timeframes

- Manage Group accounts and renewals effectively, including liaising closely with Groups contacts, issuing quotes and invoices
- Ensure that all contact and communications are compliant with relevant data protection and security standards

- Provide administrative support during the Fellowship process
- Generate regular reports on membership to inform organisational KPI reporting
- Provide administrative support for the Membership Operations Team
- Alongside your main areas of work, you will also participate in meetings and be encouraged to participate in CPD learning activities and training to maintain and develop your knowledge and skills.
About You
You don’t need to have expertise in absolutely all areas, but we’re looking for someone who is motivated by our mission, enjoys interacting with people on a range of tasks and is passionate about providing great customer service. Systems you would be using include Google Workspace, Salesforce, Submittable, Zoom and Slack.
Experience and skills
Essential:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience of delivering high quality customer service, managing relationships with customers or other stakeholders and providing an excellent experience
- Confident user of technology (email, online meeting tools and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace or similar); comfortable with learning new technology systems
- Experience of working in a busy administration / office role with competing priorities
- Excel and data analysis skills
Desirable:
- Experience of Salesforce or other CRM systems
- Knowledge of GDPR and how it relates to the storage, retention and use of personal data
- An interest in the membership and/or education sector and the support and development of teachers

The Position
We are seeking a proactive, collaborative professional with marketing and sales experience to take on the role of Membership Development Manager.
This is a new role to drive the growth, engagement, and retention of our Fellows and Members by working across the organisation to deliver membership acquisition, development, and engagement.
You will work across our organisation to develop member-focused initiatives and contribute to the Society’s strategic goals of expanding and diversifying its membership base.
Duties and responsibilities
- Membership acquisition - Design and deliver, in partnership with colleagues, membership strategies that grow acquisition, deepen engagement, and improve retention.
- Membership development - Design and develop product diversification, pathways for member progression, including transitions between membership types and professional recognition.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure membership and partnership initiatives support wider organisational goals.

Salary and Benefits
