Black Thrive Global (BTG) works to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black communities. We embed race equity in systems change and co-create solutions alongside communities. 

Just Like Us (JLU) is the UK’s LGBT+ young people’s charity, empowering 18–25-year-olds to share their experiences in schools and improve LGBT+ inclusion through peer-led talks and ambassador programmes. 

This joint role represents an exciting partnership between two organisations committed to racial justice, LGBTQ+ inclusion and systemic transformation. 

1. Just Like Us (3.5 days/week): To support the delivery of Just Like Us’ Ambassador and School Talks programmes – including recruitment, training and coordination of young LGBT+ volunteers and engaging with schools to foster inclusive environments. 

2.  Black Queer & Thriving: There is potential for this role to expand in scope (up to 1.5 additional days per week), subject to funding. Should this occur, the role may include additional responsibilities in line with the aims of the Black LGBTQ+ Working Group and Southwark engagement priorities. Any change in working hours or duties would be discussed and agreed in advance. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Just Like Us (3.5 days/week) 

- Support the delivery of the Ambassador Programme, including recruitment, training and retention of LGBT+ volunteers aged 18–25. 

- Coordinate and run community events for Black LGBT+ young people to support outreach and recruitment of volunteers. 

- Represent Just Like Us at events such as conferences and prides to amplify our programmes to a range of audiences. 

- Support Just Like Us volunteer recruitment drives by building relationships with university societies and volunteering services, community partners and charity partners in London and the South East. 

- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of LGBT+ mentors. 

- Attend relevant cross-team meetings with the Just Like Us team such as the fortnightly Ambassador Recruitment meeting 

- Support with the quality assurance of school talks through observations and slide checks. 

- Assist the volunteering team with the coordination and delivery of ambassador skills workshops where needed. 

- Work with the project evaluation consultant to assist with the running of focus groups.

- Conduct exit interviews with Black LGBT+ ambassadors. 

-Support on a social action project with Black LGBT+ ambassadors in Year 3 

- Ensure all activities are inclusive, trauma-informed and aligned with principles of equity and justice.

Role Purpose:

The Helpline Supervisor will provide support, guidance and supervise the helpline advisors and in the future helpline volunteers. The role will further provide emotional support and debriefing for the helpline advisors and volunteers during each helpline shift and when appropriate after each reported incident. They will also oversee the quality of service and ensure each report is dealt with appropriately to a high standard and that reports are logged appropriately recording all relevant information, ensuring data is protected and all procedures are followed.

About the role:

The postholder will support the delivery of a specialist domestic abuse (DA) project in partnership with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) in the London borough of Brent. The role aims to raise awareness and promote best practice in responding to domestic abuse across CLCH staff, improving support for patients impacted by domestic abuse. This will involve delivering training, workshops, and guidance to health professionals, providing consultancy on embedding DA response pathways, and helping CLCH navigate referrals to local domestic abuse support agencies. The role combines professional training, advocacy, and systems change to strengthen the health sector’s response to domestic abuse. The postholder will work across the Brent borough, attending community hubs and co-locating to deliver services when needed.

The postholder may be approached by staff seeking advice or consultation regarding male victims of domestic abuse. While the role’s primary focus remains on supporting women, the postholder will be open to supporting male victims through appropriate signposting and referral guidance. They will also be willing to undertake relevant training (e.g. Respect toolkit) to ensure inclusive and informed responses. Training will be provided.

About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Advisor & Trainer you will need the below experience and skills:

• A thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families and communities.
• Experience in designing, delivering, and promoting engaging training and learning sessions on domestic abuse, tailored to professionals and stakeholders across a variety of settings.
• Experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders as well as experience of working within in multi-agency environment.
• Ability to provide consultancy and guidance to multidisciplinary teams on domestic abuse-related issues, offering informed advice and support.

They will hold a caseload of service users, acting as the key contact and contributing to care planning, progress monitoring, and discharge support using the clinical records system. A key focus will be the collaborative development of person-centred recovery plans that emphasise social goals and community integration. Using trauma-informed and strength-based approaches, they will build strong therapeutic relationships to support individuals in achieving their personal recovery goals. The role involves helping service users access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, or psychoeducational groups. They will promote recovery-focused, jargon-free communication, advocate for co-production and integrated care, and liaise with statutory and voluntary sector organisations to ensure smooth service navigation and warm handovers. Attendance at relevant clinical meetings and community events is expected, representing both Hestia and the Community Mental Health Team. Tabard Court is a mental health supported accommodation for individual with significant offending histories. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to customers with a range of mental health needs - emotional, social, physical or domestic -, who have had contact with the Criminal Justice System. You will be skilled in engaging both customers and stakeholders and have a good understanding of the needs and diversity of this client group. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a therapeutic environment that at times can be challenging and provide quality evidenced based care and risk management strategies working closely with clinical colleagues. You will have a thorough understanding of the principles of recovery, be highly motivated and committed, making a significant contribution to the development of the service and building on your previous experience and skills in the fields of mental health and/or criminal justice system.
The post holder will facilitate the liaison between Tabard Court and mental health services in the area and work flexibly to respond to emerging needs and effectively address the needs of the customer case load.
This role will include shift working including: every other weekends, early shifts (8am start) and late shifts (until 10pm).

About the Role

Working with the support and guidance of your manager, you will be responsible for delivering our Reconnect, family support and mediation service across the North East Region

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Depaul’s services and with external agencies to reduce family breakdown. You will build and maintain a caseload of clients at risk of, or experiencing homelessness. You will work with clients in a variety of situations, including young people at school who are experiencing a breakdown in their family relationships, those who have been forced to leave their homes and are temporarily staying with our volunteer Nightstop hosts, and those who are now living in our accommodation services.

You will provide a wide range of support and guidance to these clients and their families, aiming to improve understanding and communication, reduce conflict and strengthen relationships, amongst other things. This will include a range of methods, including one-to-one and joint party mediation. Occasionally you may also provide basic guidance to young people and parents regarding their housing options.

With full support, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and safe management of the service on a day-to-day basis, including working in line with all relevant policies, procedures and best practice guidelines, as well as maintaining arcuate and up-to-date records on our database.

Key responsibilities include:

· Work directly with young people aged 11-25, and their families, who are experiencing family difficulties and at risk of homelessness, providing guidance, personalised family support and one-to-one and joint party mediation if appropriate;

· Carry a caseload of 15 – 20 clients per FTE for whom you will be the named keyworker;

· Process referrals from relevant agencies in order to build and maintain a full caseload of clients.

· Work in partnership with young people and their families to complete risk assessments, needs assessments and changes plans and outcome questionnaires to work with them towards measurable outcomes.

· Build strong working relationships with all Depaul colleagues and services across the region, as well as other relevant agencies and local authority teams, to promote the service, build effective referral routes and processes and provide holistic support to young people.

· Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date records of all aspects of your work, in line with monitoring and evaluation processes and standard operational procedures.

· Work closely with statutory bodies and other agencies to support any relevant safeguarding procedures, advocating on behalf of young people and parents/carers when necessary.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

· Significant experience working with young people and families in crisis; reflective, creative and solution-focused in your approach and committed to working in an assets-based way.

· To hold or complete a Level 4 Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner’s Certificate (IMPC). Training will be provided if the candidate doesn’t hold the qualification, but training will have to be completed before the end of the probation period.

· Experience of working independently and managing own caseload; self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks and carry out efficient organisation and administration.

· Experience of carrying out risk and needs assessments and support planning for clients.

· Ability to develop strong, collaborative and productive relationships with colleagues and key external agencies, promoting the value of our work and its impact on families.

· High level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain impartiality

· Willingness and ability to travel independently and work from a number of different locations across the London region.

We are looking for a Complex Caseworker to join the Bristol High Stability Housing team. In this role you will work with a fixed group or identified people who are referred to the scheme who require a specialist intervention and multi-disciplinary approach to secure sustainable outcomes.

In this role you will work with the Service Manager and alongside local services. You will take responsibility for carrying a caseload and supporting the day to day delivery of the scheme. You will work towards delivering outcomes which focus on sustaining accommodation, improving health and wellbeing, engaging and sustaining formal treatment for substance misuse, and securing a range of educational and employment opportunities including volunteering. You will work with the Rough Sleeping Navigator Coordinator to:

• Be the single point of contact while supporting clients through the transition into independent tenancies.
• Build and maintain working relationships with agencies and individuals who can aid clients in sustaining their recovery and meeting outcomes.
• Work with colleagues to find ways to address support needs for individual clients such as improving life skills, tenancy sustainment, employment and education, and building recovery networks with agencies, peers and from within the community.
• Provide evidence based information on desired outcomes.
