What You’ll Be Doing:

As Learning & Development Coordinator you will play a key role in supporting the growth and effectiveness of the organisation by coordinating and assisting in the management of training initiatives and employee development programmes using the 70/20/10 model of learning. • Organise and schedule training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
• Setting up the room on the training day including equipment, lunches, refreshments, badges etc.

• Work with managers and HR to identify employee training needs.
• Analyse performance gaps and recommend learning solutions.
• Support with the delivery of internal training programmes including Dialogue Plus, Care Certificate Assessors, Continuous Feedback and Insights Discovery.
• Manage and update the LMS with new courses and content.

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic youth charity that has supported 27,000 young people since 2001.  We are based in Greater Manchester and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to young people experiencing vulnerabilities and disadvantages who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme.

We have been commissioned by the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit to deliver the Another Chance programme in the City of Manchester and North Trafford, supporting young people aged 14-25 involved in group-based serious violent offending to leave a life of violent crime behind them. We are now recruiting Programme Leads to provide 1:1 mentoring support to these young people and to help them access positive support and social services to prevent further offending.

We are particularly looking for people with experience of working with young people aged 14-25 at risk of criminal involvement and exploitation, and their families.

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Location: Warwickshire
Salary: £25,857.12 per annum

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be forming a team that makes up the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements

Housing Support Workers will work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the properties are managed to a high standard and ensure a welcoming approach to all survivors and their children.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to be involved in the shaping and growth of this valuable local service as we grow in the Tees Valley.

Recovery Coordinator

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Coordinator to support Waythrough’s service delivery within Reconnected to Health in HMYOI Deerbolt .As a Recovery Coordinator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, including groups, to ensure that every recovery journey is tailored to individual priorities. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach to ensure that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person. 

• Manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing on-going recovery plans and treatment, liaising closely with the full range of workers and skills within the service team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
• Carry out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
• Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community To lead effective case management for allocated service users, including on-going processes such as risk assessments, risk management plans and safeguarding assessments and plans. This includes the effective use of an online case management system.

Community Project Lead

Do you have experience working with under-served communities and leading impactful outreach projects? Are you passionate about improving access to support for families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of SEND law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Project Lead to join our team and lead the development of our advice services for under-served communities. This two-year, fixed-term role is a key part of our strategy to reach groups who may not traditionally engage with IPSEA’s support - including children and families with English as an additional language, cared-for children (children in care), migrant children, detained children, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

The project builds on a detailed scoping exercise we’ve recently completed, which involved working closely with a wide range of charities and organisations that support these communities. The resulting report outlines the barriers they face, and will form the foundation for this project and directly inform the work you will lead.

What you’ll do 

• Design and develop pilot advice services that are tailored to the needs of under-served communities, using findings from IPSEA’s research 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, charities and service providers to co-produce accessible services 

• Collaborate with IPSEA’s advice, legal and policy teams to address the barriers these communities face in accessing SEND legal advice 

• Contribute to and share outreach materials, training resources and toolkits to support families of under-served communities and empower local advocates 

• Plan and lead workshops, focus groups and community events to raise awareness, gather feedback and enhance service delivery 

• Monitor and report on project outcomes and impact, providing regular updates to IPSEA staff and stakeholders 

You can work remotely or from IPSEA’s office in Takeley, with frequent travel required for essential meetings and community engagement.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Recovery coordinator (HMYOI Deerbolt being the community) to support Waythrough’s service delivery within Reconnected to Health in HMYOI Deerbolt.As a Building Recovery coordinator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, who have completed most of their recovery journey with a Recovery Coordinator and are now in sustained recovery. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach to ensure that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person. 
As a Building Recovery coordinator, you will also recruit train and supervise peer mentors who will support the service alongside yourself with group delivery, mutual aid, focus groups and any project work.

• Manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing on-going recovery plans and treatment, liaising closely with the full range of workers and skills within the service team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
• Carry out focus groups and promote equality diversity and inclusion through project work and promotion of the service
• Recruit, train and supervise peer mentors who are an integral part of our service delivery and lived experience
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
• Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community To lead effective case management for allocated service users, including on-going processes such as risk assessments, risk management plans and safeguarding assessments and plans. This includes the effective use of an online case management system.

Community Advocate

Principal tasks:

● Advocate for parents who are currently involved in the Child Protection process, including attending Child Protection meetings, conferences and legal meetings.

● Providing information, advice and advocacy on a range of issues affecting people who face disabling barriers within the community, currently including:

o Mental health care

o Support to access treatment and support services

o Personal budgets and direct payments

o Discrimination and employment issues

o Child protection proceedings

● Being an independent voice for clients.

● Working alongside clients to challenge institutions, organisations and bad practice where needed.

● Visiting clients either at home or in the community and working within Equal Lives’ lone working policies and procedures.

● Communicating with clients in the method that feels most comfortable and accessible for them. This could be via phone calls, emails, letters, video calls, face to face meetings or a combination of all of these.

● Building relationships in order to understand and effectively advocate for people who may not use words to communicate or may find it difficult to express themselves.

● Effectively managing a case list and maintaining comprehensive and up to date case management records using appropriate software and ensuring follow up requirements are carried out in a timely fashion

Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) are currently recruiting for a spinal cord injury specialist nurse to join our growing team of healthcare professionals. The specialist registered nurse will be a self-starter with the ability to travel and will cover the South-west region – providing support and advice to people with spinal cord injury, their families and healthcare professionals.

About You and The Role

Working as part of the Health & Care Quality team and within a designated geographical region (Southwest Region, which includes areas such as Hampshire, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall and South Wales), the SCI specialist nurse will support those with newly acquired spinal cord injuries who are not admitted to specialist services, or those with established spinal cord injuries who are being re-admitted to hospital for treatment unrelated to their impairment.

Through telephone, email or face-to-face visits the SCI specialist nurse will offer guidance and advice to these individuals and/or their family members, addressing issues of concern associated with treatment and care and liaising on their behalf with healthcare professionals in the treating hospitals to ensure these are dealt with in line with best practice standards.

The SCI specialist nurse will also act as an educator for healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and care of spinal cord injured people and working in non-specialist settings and will contribute to the development and delivery of educational offerings available via the SIA Frank Williams Academy. When required, the SCI nurse specialist will support individuals through elements of the NHS Continuing Health Care assessment process, attending review or appeal hearings in their capacity as clinical specialist in SCI care. They will also contribute to the monitoring, evaluation and development of the SCI specialist nurse service via mechanisms put in place for that purpose.
