- Experience in a similar role, from within a Higher Education setting.

- Confident IT proficiency, including using Excel and mail-merging.
- Experience managing a varied caseload and independently prioritising tasks.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, GDPR and data protection standards.

This is a varied role with a significant focus on events and project management, including special events, as well as engagement activities to raise awareness of career opportunities in the industry. Job Purpose

Events
- Young Furniture Makers Exhibition - To plan, organise and deliver the annual one-day exhibition showcasing the best new talent to industry. Securing event sponsorship and working with sponsors during the organisation process to ensure positive relationships. Working with over 70 exhibitors, multiple sponsors and external suppliers to ensure a successful event.
- Young Professional Industry Engagement event programme - To plan, organise and deliver the annual three-week programme of CPD visits for a selected group of participants to industry hosts across the UK. Working with participants and over 20 organisations to schedule and deliver the programme.
- Furniture Making T-Level conference – Working with the Chair of the Education and Training Committee and selected members to plan, organise and implement a one-day conference on the practicalities of overing the Furniture T-Level in an educational setting.
- Organise and attend several regional career fairs and trade shows to promote the education and training initiatives and encourage young people to consider a career in furniture and furnishings.
- Plan and organise the content of an Education and Training slot at the annual Furniture Makers’ HR Conference to highlight key events and programmes.
- Ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion is considered in all aspects of Education and Training events.
Grants
- Administer a small annual grants scheme supporting colleges and universities which provide specialist furniture and furnishing education courses.

Website
- Administer the jobs board featured on the My Furniture Career website, screening and approving posted vacancies as well as liaising with those posting jobs to confirm the status of the vacancy, sharing data once the vacancy expires and collecting feedback data from the poster.
- To work with the Digital Officer to agree a schedule of content for the website and its associated social media.
- Work with the Communications Manager and Digital Officer to promote the use of the website by the targeted audience group as well as the HR community to post vacancies to the jobs board.
- Produce a quarterly report detailing the usage and any highlights regarding the website.
- Report any technical issues to the website provider and liaise with them to fix the issue.
Reporting
- Quarterly reporting on activity and budget to the Education and Training Committee.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in one or two schools in the West Midlands area; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a mapThe Access Project schools on our website. Access to own transport or reliable transport would be ideal.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications

About the role
The Access Project is an evidence-based, data driven intervention. Central to our programme are the ways in which we use data to ensure each of our students receives the provision they need, to learn about how we can improve our delivery and to evaluate our impact on our students’ university prospects. We have developed sophisticated monitoring and evaluation systems bringing together data from a variety of sources to track students’ progress (impact management) as well as ascertain their outcomes (impact evaluation). We collect data on our students’ academic and socio-demographic background, their participation on our programme and progress on our bespoke university readiness scales, and their academic results and university destinations. We use this data to intervene in real time when delivery goes off-course but also to understand how The Access Project programmes affect student outcomes and publicize this impact externally.
As part of the Strategy and Impact Team, the Data & Insights Lead will be responsible for ensuring all teams have the right data and to deliver and monitor our programme in a timely and effective way. They will manage, analyse, interpret, and present data and information, most of it recorded on our Salesforce system, to enhance the quality of delivery, maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants and ensure that the project achieves the greatest possible social impact. They will also project manage distinct pieces of work ranging from system optimization to external reporting for impact-related projects and partnerships.
Duties and responsibilities
1) Ensure the efficacy of our monitoring & reporting systems
- Identifies required changes related to how we collect and manage data in Salesforce so that programme delivery data is available in the right format and at the right frequency to support decision making across teams and allow for accurate reporting.
- Make recommendations for changes to the Salesforce system in line with this and support the Operations Team with reviewing options.
- Support other teams to have the confidence and skills to effectively use our monitoring & reporting tools and processes for their specific needs.
- Identify required improvements to our data processes (e.g. processes for collecting/collating data, for automation, etc), and project manage their implementation.
2) Coordinate the use of data to guide tactical and strategic decision-making on programme delivery and design
- Define the key questions for our termly performance management meetings and input into the design and content of the dashboards used in these fora.
- Process and analyse data to derive useful insights about our programme delivery and present your findings effectively to various stakeholders to inform tactical conversations around programme design and delivery.

3) Lead other evaluation, research and reporting activities
- Ensure that student feedback is disseminated, analysed, shared, and used to inform ongoing performance management discussions
- Lead the data contributions throughout our annual impact evaluation process which may include the preparation of large datasets, as well as analysis and interpretation of data.
- Drive the monitoring and evaluation of pilot projects, e.g. development of monitoring tools and processes, data analysis, systems development, etc. prepare required datasets for external impact-related reporting. This includes tasks ranging from designing data collection processes, compiling the data, continuously adapting processes, and communicating effectively with all internal stakeholders.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in one or two schools in London; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a mapThe Access Project schools on our website.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance

About IKWRO
IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.
We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.
IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.
As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.

The post-holder will be required to work in a confidential setting and provide non directive support to improve mental health and social functioning of women who are experiencing different forms of gender based violence. Main Duties and Responsibilities

What will I be doing?
The role of Community Youth Worker is, by nature, highly relational and is a position of great influence that enables you to nurture, inspire, connect and empower young people from all walks of life, so they can make the most of their lives. Fundraising Events and Challenges Lead

This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.
Purpose of job:
The Fundraising Event and Challenges Lead is responsible for overseeing the fundraising events portfolio, developing and driving the strategy, and leading the delivery of a wide-ranging events and challenges portfolio to deliver ambitious organisational objectives and fundraising growth targets. This includes high-profile celebrity sporting and non-sporting challenge events alongside special events and mass-engagement events.
Key responsibilities:
· Leads the strategy setting and annual planning and budget setting for Comic Relief’s events, including building financial models, developing business cases and strategic plans.
· Lead the operational planning and implementation of fundraising events from ideation, through development and delivery, ensuring an agile approach to changing circumstances and to manage risk and maximise income opportunities.
· Manage and coach the events co-ordinator to support and deliver operational and fundraising activity across the portfolio to deliver against agreed plans and objectives.
· As appropriate, lead or work as part of cross-organisational matrix project teams to deliver all event fundraising elements including developing coherent narrative, fundraising marketing activity, supporter journeys and income/performance tracking and management.
· Lead and manage project teams of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure all aspects of fundraising events are delivered effectively and successfully to deliver income targets.
· Procure and manage the day-to-day relationship with external delivery partners to ensure safe and successful development and delivery of events; this could include events logistic delivery partners, integration of external media broadcast outlets or television production companies.
· Working with the FR Events co-ordinator, supporting all operational elements of events including event plans, logistics, risk assessments, live content requirements, content delivery, health & safety, risk management and crisis management plans.
· Actively manage the fundraising event budgets, ensuring spend is monitored, reported, and reforecast, with cost saving opportunities leveraged to maximise net income.
· Operate as a champion of fundraising events within the wider organisation proactively identifying, sourcing and helping to embed new ways of working, tools and approaches that drive and optimise income from fundraising events across an array of target audiences.
· Foster a culture of high performance and build organisational event fundraising expertise. Work across the organisation to ensure each challenge/event is audience focused and all opportunities to maximise income are explored through a test, learn and iterate approach where data, learning and insight is used to make informed decisions and actioned swiftly. Ensure knowledge is systematised and shared across the organisation for maximum impact.
· Working as a lead within the Fundraising Directorate, work with colleagues to ensure all activity is appropriately integrated within the wider fundraising plans and portfolio, targeted to agreed audiences appropriately and designed and delivered in a way that maximises engagement and lifetime value.
People Management
· Provide balanced, constructive feedback, undertake effective performance management to embed accountability and proactively support the professional development and growth of staff.
· Proactively undertake business planning, prioritise activities and set clear and realistic objectives for the team and individuals based on capacity, expertise, and aspirations.
· Maintain regular two-way communication and dialogue with staff, ensuring information is cascaded and escalated as needed.
Person specification
Essential criteria
· Experience in developing strategies, plans and managing and delivering events with a focus of income generation.
· Experience of delivering high profile events with multiple external partners
· Demonstratable experience of complex project and stakeholder management in high impact and proven ability to deliver on time and on budget.
· Evidence of working in high-pressure, high-risk environments with high personal resilience and the ability to effectively manage and mitigate risk, adapt and respond to fast-paced change.
· Excellent communicator with experience of leading and working effectively in cross-functional project teams and wide-ranging stakeholders to deliver shared goals and objectives.
· Experience of budget management including setting detailed, annual and campaign planning budgets and strategies, reforecasting, and ongoing tracking against these.
Desirable criteria
· Experience working across a full spectrum of events including sporting and non- sporting challenge events and special events, including with a focus on targeted audiences from mass audiences to high-net-worth audiences.
· Experience of working with broadcast media partners.
· Experience of using a range of digital channels to drive engagement and income to event related activities.
· Effective relationship builder with the ability to proactively challenge and persuade senior stakeholders and partners.
