This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to contribute to increasing and improving emotional and mental health provision within education settings for 5–18-yearolds, young adults (15 - 18), families, and other professionals within the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham.
The "Be Kind to Your Mind (BK2YM)" service provides evidence-based mental health support to school- and college-aged Children and Young People, staff, young adults, families, and other professionals within the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham.
Be Kind to Your Mind (BK2YM) is a non-clinical, mental health and wellbeing offer delivered by HFEH MIND Youth Services. BK2YM’s non-clinical interventions and psychoeducation programme (Learn Well) offers a multitiered level of support:
- Preventative and early intervention for children and young people aged 5 – 25 through HFEH Mind Psychoeducation Workshops and assemblies.
- Training for school staff and other professionals.
- Therapeutic Arts intervention (x6 sessions) for students.
- Access to a digital support tool (self-help): WYSA.
- Access to wider digital/online support tolls (Including My Mind TV).
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of Be Kind to Your Mind interventions across schools, colleagues and alternative education.
- Delivering whole school/year group assemblies and ‘drop-down days’ to educational establishments within the defined area(s) of operation.
- Facilitation with targeted outreach to H&F SENCO's/AP's, adapting content for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in collaboration with Educational Psychologists.
- Ad-hoc creation of bespoke content to complement existing materials.
- Creation and delivery of education staff workshops based on provided training needs assessment form submissions.
- Outreach to schools/organisations, maintenance of Learn Well bookings.
- Maintaining rapport with education/community youth provisions to ensure continuation of delivery across the academic year.
- Co-ordination of targeted outreach/promotion on universal days related to Children and Young People’s Mental Health and issues impacting their mental health and wellbeing generally. (E.g. world mental health day, stress awareness week etc.)

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
- An undergraduate Psychology degree (or equivalent) that confers British Psychological Society’s Graduate Basis for Chartered membership (GBC).
- Understanding of the impact of social inequalities and how this relates to mental health.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the key socioeconomic and systemic factors that contribute to poor mental health of children, young people, and parents/carers from Black, Asian, and other Ethnic Minority groups.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience of literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
- Knowledge of mental health and/or social care services.

Background and Purpose
Bristol Mind is a local and independent charity working at the heart of our community to offer

2,000 service-users and 75 volunteers each year, delivering a range of services including:
- InfoLine telephone information and advice service
- MindLine confidential telephone listening support
- Meeting Minds 121 counselling, with LGBTQIA & Neurodivergence streams

Meeting Minds is a busy low-cost counselling provision and one of a growing element of
Bristol Mind’s services. Our online and face-to-face talking therapy is delivered by both
trainee and qualified counsellors for adults aged 18+ for up to 16 sessions, and includes
Humanistic, Psychodynamic, TA and Gestalt approaches. Our placement counsellors
come from a wide range of training providers such as BCPC, UWE as well as Metanoia
and the Berne Institute. In addition, we have some trainees on Doctorate programmes
in Counselling Psychology in Newport and Bristol. All our counselling staff and
volunteers are fully supported with regular clinical supervision and management, and
feedback from both counsellors and clients is excellent.
Job Description
We are currently restructuring our Meeting Minds team with a view to developing our
service offer, including applying for BACP accreditation. With this in mind, we are
seeking a Clinical Lead, responsible for delivering both clinical assessments and clinical
supervision, and for ensuring our service continues to adhere to the BACP ethical
framework. This vital role will suit you if you are an experienced, accredited BACP
counsellor and clinical supervisor with a passion for equity-based counselling and a keen
eye for managing risk. You will be part of a small and friendly team, working closely with
our Head of Counselling to ensure our service meets the needs of our local community
and is of the highest quality.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake approximately 10- 12 client assessments per week, over the phone or Teams.
- Undertake approximately 6 clinical supervision sessions per week, both online/ inperson.
- Attend Triage meetings with Head of Counselling min twice a week.

We are searching for a Peer Support Worker to join our mental health services. The role is a peer support worker, who would facilitate face to face and zoom groups, and help us with the smooth running of Mind BLMK services. Role Purpose
· Face to face, online and telephone counselling
· To ensure that all face to face, online and telephone counselling appointments are ethical, and safe in line with best practice recommendations from BACP, NCS and UKCP
· To work in partnership with GP practices and Primary Care Mental Health Support Services, liaising and nurturing key relationships, e.g. GP Practice leads to ensure positive outcomes for people who use our counselling services
· To maintain accurate data and client records in line with GDPR, GP requests and the Mind Quality Mark
· Responsible to: Head of Service and Deputy CEO
Main duties and responsibilities
To uphold and promote best practice in the delivery of high-quality person-centred counselling / psychotherapy services to ensure all Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind services are safe, ethical and client centred in line with the Mind Quality Mark.
To accurately capture data taking direction from the Counselling supervisor, and colleagues in Primary Care to ensure robust quality monitoring is undertaken and all patient notes accounted for in the delivery of counselling /psychotherapeutic services.
In collaboration with internal and external colleagues to explore how we can improve the counselling / psychotherapeutic experience for people who use our services, implementing recommendations and learning from clinical supervision, team meetings, line management meetings, and your own reflections to improve and refine your professional counselling practice. To ensure the continuous development and sustainability of our services for all in need.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the fight for mental health and wellbeing across Cwm Taf Morgannwg and play a vital role within our communities as a Counsellor. This role will be providing maternity cover on a temporary basis and will be a rolling contract
Our Counsellors are a lifeline to people in need of talking treatment providing a safe clinical space for individuals to speak out about negative life events and take back control of their lives. We are now recruiting a qualified counsellor to offer life-changing, talking treatments to adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing needs in GP practices across the Rhondda to temporarily provide maternity cover. You will need to be confident in delivering person-centred counselling /psychotherapy to adults in the medium of their choice face to face, online and telephone contract.

Mind in Berkshire is expanding our Community Connectors Team within East Berkshire. A key role within a multi-agency team, our Community Connectors will build relationships and support patients to access a wide range of community services and resources including social care, housing, family, debt and employment counselling that support maintaining good health and wellbeing.
