Summary of the role:

The Global Programmes Manager provides supervision and management support to Muslim Aid Country Offices and implementing partners ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of high-quality delivery of projects and programmes in line with organizational strategy, in compliance with donor expectations, governmental and international standards.

The role is responsible for technical and management advice and support to ensure Muslim Aid Country Offices and partners are implementing, monitoring and evaluating programme activities in compliance with Muslim Aid’s strategy and budget as well as recognised international standards.

In addition, other key responsibilities include building and expanding strategic partnerships, with donors and other development partners to increase the size, scope and quality of programmes implemented by the Country Offices to reach the poorest, marginalised and underserved populations. Regular travel will be required.

About the Role:

1. Implement our strategy by supporting Country Offices and partner organisations in programme development and delivery, and in impact measurement.
2. Support Country Offices (including affiliates) to reinforce our mission, vision, values and direction through clear and articulate communications.
3. Provide technical support in organisational development for the Country Offices, ensuring appropriate technical and management skills exist to effectively implement programmes and showing improvements over time in our organisational health checks.
4. Work closely with Country Offices and partners to strengthen our due diligence and compliance procedures and ensure their effective use in practice.
5. Ensure efficient use of allocated funds; agree budgets and plans for the Country Offices. Ensure financial management and Value for Money is central to the management and accountability of work undertaken by Country Offices and partners.
6. Ensure that the quality of our programmes and partnerships at all levels are of a high standard in delivering our promises and commitments.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Educated to degree level standard in international development or similar related field
2. Demonstrated experience in international development management including senior management and distance management.
3. Experience of building strong relationships at the highest levels with development partners.
4. Knowledge of SPHERE, CHS and DEC Accountability Framework priorities and other humanitarian/development
5. Excellent project management and facilitation skills.
6. Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with experience of writing quality proposals and reports

As an experienced trusts fundraiser, you will drive the growth of our income from trusts and foundations. RESPONSIBILITIES:

General

• Research and submit compelling proposals and applications for high-value grants and donations (5+ figures) to secure income and support long-term sustainability. 
• Prospect research of new funders and partners capable of supporting Back Up’s work. 
• Provide timely, accurate reports and updates to funders showing the impact of funded work.
• Delivering an effective stewardship programme to engage and thank funders, working closely with the partnerships team to inspire our donors 
• Maximise opportunities through Back Up’s networks, including the fundraising team, services staff, SMT, development board, board of trustees and volunteer networks. 
• Managing multi-year budgets and ensure accurate forecasting, monitoring and evaluating performance to meet agreed targets. 
• Support the maintenance and development of internal systems to manage restricted income and effective data flow and quality to support delivery of the Trusts and Foundations Strategy
• Ensure up to date records of grants and donations and funder communications. 
• Manage, support, and develop the trust fundraising team and plans. 
• Build strong working relationships with services and finance to align funding with strategic needs and business plans

• Proven success in securing income from a range of charitable trusts and foundations

About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Evidence Officer, working as part of the Strategy, Impact and Evidence team. 

Sustrans’ Strategy, Impact and Evidence team is a leading centre of excellence in active travel research, monitoring and evaluation and we are recruiting now. As an Evidence Officer, you will work on a range of behaviour change and infrastructure projects, providing monitoring, evaluation, and analytical support. The Strategy, Impact and Evidence teamplays an important part in supporting our vision by providing robust evidence on sustainable and active travel that ultimately influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK.

Focusing on monitoring and evaluating the impact of infrastructure and behaviour change programmes, you will work on a range of projects around the UK and be involved in the planning, delivery, analysis and reporting of our monitoring and evaluation work. 

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub. There is minimal travel required in this role, however in the course of your work you may have to travel to one of the nominated hubs or project sites if required to do so. 

About you

You should have demonstrable quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills, and be a competent Excel user or have working knowledge of statistical software, such as R.

As an excellent communicator in both oral and written forms, you will have with the ability to present data and findings clearly. You should also have the capability to find innovative and creative solutions to problems.

You will own some experience of project management as well as delivery of project monitoring and evaluation. You should also have some experience of working and communicating with suppliers, partners and/or clients.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer

About the Role

As Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer, you will support the design and implementation of evidenced-based projects. This will enable the organisation to deliver high quality programmes, monitoring and evaluating impact and conducting data analysis, playing an essential role in ensuring accountability and improving information management and data quality.

Your principal duties and responsibilities will include

· Supporting the regional Programmes and Partnerships Advisors, International teams, and partners throughout the project cycle, to ensure that MEL activities and requirements are fully integrated into project and programme plans and budgets.

· Supporting the Programme Design and Impact Advisor (PDIA) to ensure that funded projects are effectively and efficiently monitored and evaluated and that learnings are captured, understood, shared and embedded into future work.

· Supporting the preparation and review of internal reports in collaboration with programme staff, ensuring high-quality reporting, and that learning is captured and utilised.

About You

We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level or has the equivalent in experience.

You will also have:

· Demonstrable skills in monitoring, evaluation, feedback, and learning methods; including knowledge of best practices and experience with M&E frameworks, feedback, and learning processes.

· Significant knowledge or experience of conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

· Proven experience of developing MEL training and mentoring approaches, designing and facilitating participatory capacity development activities targeted to non-expert audiences.

About the team

This role will be part of a small Project Management Unit (PMU) located within the Programme Operations Team. This team enables the effective management of the International Programmes Department (IPD) through ensuring IPD Teams have access to robust high quality management policies, systems, process, tools and capabilities that work to support the delivery of programmes, enable the effective management of risk, and ensure strong financial planning and management.  The role will report in to the Project Delivery Lead, within the Programme Design & Management Team which is a sub-team that facilitates clear programme direction with standardised results frameworks, monitoring, reporting and financial reporting systems, responsible for donor contract management and reporting.

About the role

The Monitoring & Learning Coordinator will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of monitoring, reporting, and learning processes for WaterAid’s Multi-country Urban Water Project. This is a bold initiative aiming to raise $40 million and reach two million people with clean water in urban areas across six anchor countries: Colombia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Mozambique, Bangladesh, and Cambodia. The campaign also seeks to build a global movement of youth advocates to demand action from world leaders to achieve SDG 6 relating to universal access to water and sanitation.

This role ensures accurate, timely data collection and learning, promotes adaptive management, and supports evidence-based decision-making.  Working closely with country teams and partners, the Monitoring & Learning Coordinator will strengthen monitoring and learning capacity, support the articulation and measurement of project impact, and help consolidate insights to inform both internal learning and sector-wide knowledge on urban water programming. This includes tracking progress towards the ambitious goal of reaching two million people.

The role will also support donor reporting, liaise with Member offices, and deputise for the Project Delivery Lead when required.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development and implementation of the project monitoring and learning framework
• Support countries with timely and accurate data collections, analysis, learning and reporting
• Provide assurance on data quality and integrity
• Produce consolidated monitoring and learning reports, highlighting progress, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations for adaptive management.
• Support with donor reporting and communications.
• Facilitate and support cross-country learning and knowledge sharing and work with technical teams to translate learning and into practical delivery changes.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Degree level qualifications or experience or commensurate experience in relevant fields
• Strong demonstrable experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning in international development, preferably in WASH, urban development, or public health.
• Proven experience developing and managing MEL systems and processes for complex, multi-country or large-scale projects.
• Significant familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative MEL methods, participatory approaches, and adaptive management.
• Strong analytical and data management skills, including use of software for data analysis and visualisation
• Excellent facilitation, capacity building, and coaching skills to support country teams and partners.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience working with urban WASH programmes, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
• Experience in participatory MEL approaches and adaptive programme management.
• Experience designing surveys using mWater software, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, gender equality, disability inclusion, and social accountability in MEL processes.
• Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese or other relevant languages is an advantage.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is a grassroots movement working for nature’s recovery and to bring people closer to nature.

We are seeking an Assistant Coastal Birds Project Monitoring Officer to join our cause.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Bird Aware Solent team, hosted by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust within the Ecology Team. Bird Aware Solent aims to raise awareness of overwintering coastal birds within the three Solent Special Protection Areas and reduce disturbance to coastal birds through influencing the behaviour of visitors, and through projects that aim to mitigate for increased visitor and recreational pressures in the Solent.

A number of mitigation projects have been proposed and implemented, requiring monitoring to understand their effectiveness as well as increase our knowledge of the efficacy of different site-based mitigation strategies. This role will assist on the design and implementation of mitigation monitoring for the projects, by surveying and assessing the impacts on coastal birds and visitor behaviour.

Monitoring and research work is essential to ensuring conservation decision-making is based on sound evidence. This role therefore requires experience in coastal bird ecology, ecological survey techniques and data analysis.

About the role

This is a new role created at IRMO to strengthen how we measure, understand and communicate our impact. It sits at the heart of a learning-focused, community-led organisation working for migrant rights and social justice. We are open to hiring at either Officer or Lead level, depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) who can take the lead in reviewing our current MEL systems and practices, identifying what’s working well and where there’s room for improvement. You’ll help embed more consistent, robust approaches to evidence and learning across the organisation, with the aim of improving the quality of our services and better demonstrating our impact to funders, partners and the community.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role, with the primary goal of strengthening our MEL systems, tools and capacity. There may be potential to extend the contract, depending on organisational needs and funding.

You’ll work closely with Programme Managers to ensure that data is collected, analysed and used in ways that are meaningful and accessible — not only to meet funder requirements, but to improve how we work and support our community. You’ll also support reporting processes and help build capacity across the team around MEL tools and approaches.

Key responsibilities

Strategy review

• Conduct an initial analysis of IRMO’s current MEL practices, systems and tools.

• Develop recommendations and an action plan for strengthening MEL across the organisation with support from the Head of Programmes and Impact.

Systems and frameworks

• Design or refine MEL frameworks and tools across IRMO’s programmes.

• Set up or improve systems for tracking outputs, outcomes and impact, including use of IRMO’s CRM system (Views).

• Ensure MEL systems are practical, consistent, and aligned with IRMO’s Theory of Change and values.

Data and analysis

• Support teams with day-to-day data collection and quality assurance, in line with project and funding requirements.

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to generate useful insight and evidence.

• Support quarterly and annual reviews across programmes.

• Contribute to funding applications with relevant data and impact evidence.

Learning and capacity building

• Promote a culture of learning across the organisation, supporting teams to reflect, adapt and improve.

• Facilitate internal learning processes, including participatory evaluation, feedback tools, and learning workshops.

• Provide capacity-building support to staff on MEL tools, data use and analysis.

Reporting and communication

• Coordinate internal impact reporting and support external reporting to funders and stakeholders.

• Ensure that MEL processes meet GDPR requirements and ethical data collection standards.

• Communicate data and learning in accessible, meaningful formats for a range of audiences.

Person specification

Essential

• 2–4 years of experience in a MEL, data or research role, ideally in a community, charity or non-profit setting.

• Demonstrated ability to assess existing MEL practices and lead improvements to systems, tools, and processes.

• Experience designing or managing MEL frameworks, such as theories of change, results frameworks, and indicators.

• Confidence working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including surveys, focus groups and participatory methods.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to generate learning, demonstrate impact and inform decision-making.

• Experience facilitating learning and reflection processes, and supporting services to adapt based on evidence.

• Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work collaboratively, build relationships across teams, and support non-specialist colleagues to engage with MEL.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor reporting for different audiences.

• Good communication skills in Spanish or Portuguese.

• Confident using digital tools to manage and analyse data, including spreadsheets, databases and survey platforms.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex information with accuracy.

• Understanding of data protection standards (including GDPR) and ethical MEL practices.

• Commitment to IRMO’s values, including anti-racism, anti-oppression, and community-led approaches, and an understanding of the issues facing migrant communities in the UK – particularly Latin Americans.

Desirable

• Experience using Views or a similar data management/CRM system.

• Experience designing or delivering participatory evaluation or community-led learning methods.

About the role

The Senegal team are looking to recruit a Programme Manager Eye Health to oversee the development, co-ordination and management of Sightsavers programmes in Senegal.  The postholder will ensure alignment with Sightsavers policies and preferred programme approaches (in particular the principles of scalable demonstration approaches) working closely with the Country Director to maintain in- house quality standards on the delivery of programmes.

Key accountabilities but not limited to:

• Lead the development of country level action and implementation plans for eye health as agreed with the Global Technical Lead, Eye Health and Country Director, Senegal.
• Provision of effective management, coordination, technical advice and resource allocation necessary to support eye health in Senegal
• Deliver effective monitoring and support the evaluation of all aspects of the Eye Health programme, applying learning systematically to drive continuous improvement in projects and programmes
• Undertake regular monitoring visits to programme sites and to partners.
• Assist in preparing Budgets for projects and monitor expenditure against these, advising the Country Director on financial trends for example.
• Work with the finance team to ensure proper partner accountability for Sightsavers funds.
• Identify new strategic partnerships within the country to help develop Sightsavers eye health programme.
• Participate in all PR activities of the Country Office and represent Sightsavers at different forums in collaboration with the Country Director.

Essential knowledge and skills

• Degree in Medicine, preferably an Ophthalmologist or Postgraduate Degree in Public Health, Sciences or related disciplines.
• A proven track record within Programme/Project management, ideally in an INGO environment at PM level.
• Significant experience of strategic programme development.
• Technical knowledge on eye health in Senegal.
• Experience of managing an eye care programme in Africa, ideally in an international context.
• Strong advocacy, monitoring evaluation and research and logistics and supply chain management
• Current and ongoing right to work in Senegal
• Able to travel as and when required

What You’ll Do
This role enables the DEC and our 15 member charities to effectively respond to humanitarian emergencies and provide timely, quality, community-focused assistance.

As an Accountability & Learning Officer, alongside your efforts to contribute to our learning and growth, you will shape our work to influence key policy agendas. You’ll be working across such areas as climate adaption, flexible funding for humanitarian action, and locally led humanitarian responses.

Overseeing our monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities, you will support the set-up of projects, build relationships, and co-ordinate activities in all our current operational theatres.

- Assessing humanitarian crises for DEC appeal eligibility
