OVERVIEW
Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.
Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors, so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.
JOB PURPOSE
As one of our High Support Needs IDVAs you will be part of our experienced and dedicated adult team reporting to the HSN IDVA Manager covering the Ashford District area, and your role will include a mixture of remote and office working. You’ll be providing a high-quality, frontline service to survivors of domestic abuse and play a crucial role in advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and empowerment for our clients with more complex needs. You will assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse which are impacting their situation, and help them to regain control of their lives. You will support them to make informed and safe choices and to move forward.
Alongside working with survivors, you will develop and maintain productive relationships with partner organisations to strengthen multi-agency working and improve service outcomes for survivors.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting people who is confident, resilient and has the ability to build strong relationships.
You will have experience of delivering domestic abuse interventions with survivors, including some whose individual circumstances are more complex. This might include clients with issues such as homelessness, poor mental health or drugs and alcohol use.
The nature of this work and being exposed to survivors’ trauma and challenges can have a negative impact on our own wellbeing as support workers, and therefore good self-awareness and the ability to recognise our own needs and put in place appropriate boundaries is essential. All team members are expected to exercise self-care and attend regular clinical supervision to mitigate the potential impact of vicarious trauma.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high quality case work support and information to victims/survivors who have experienced domestic and/ or sexual violence and have high support needs.
- Support those who are experiencing domestic and sexual abuse to access services to keep themselves (and their children) safe and address their needs
- Identify and assess the needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist while taking a trauma informed approach
- Provide 1:1 support to survivors in the Ashford, Canterbury and Folkestone and Hythe districts, either over the phone, in community venues or at Rising Sun offices
- Manage a caseload in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and adhere to confidentiality
- Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and building positive working-relationships with team members
- Attend regular clinical supervision and case review meetings
- Hold weekly information and advice drop in sessions and facilitate relevant programmes when required i.e. Freedom Programme
- Participate in street walks to meet and build relationships and trust with street homeless
- Advocate for high risk victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:
- Understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to domestic abuse victims and how your role fits into them.
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to survivors including in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance.
- Effective partnership working with all key agency partners (including housing and other specialist services, such as drug and alcohol support) to address the safety of high risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated particularly through the MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference).
- Identify training opportunities and provide training and support for housing staff and other relevant agencies as appropriate
- Work with volunteers (where appropriate) to enhance the capacity of the service
- Be responsible for personal well-being and exercise appropriate self-care
- Attend wider team meetings to share learning and feed into organisational developments
- Ensure that the service user is at the heart of all service delivery by encouraging participation in service development and reporting on their recommendations and complaints
- Be willing and available to work occasional evenings and weekends to support wider team activities such as representing Rising Sun at events (time off in lieu can be taken)
- Ensure publicity materials are effectively distributed as well as contributing to the development of literature
General
- At all times work professionally and to a high standard, setting an example to the wider team and external partners

Qualifications
- An accredited VAWG/domestic abuse qualification, e.g. IDVA / DAPA (D)

Knowledge and Experience
- A good understanding of the causes and dynamics of domestic abuse including its impact on survivors, children and young people, families and communities.
- A sound working knowledge of housing, welfare and policy relating to domestic and sexual violence

- At least two years’ experience of working directly with survivors affected by domestic abuse

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and technically astute Project Manager to join our Projects team. This role will oversee projects that use artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to improve education access, equity, and outcomes across the three pillars of Theirworld’s work: Best Start in Life, A Safe Place to Learn, and Skills for the Future.
The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of innovative pilots, including projects that explore how AI and technology can equip children and youth with the competencies, digital fluency, and adaptive skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. You will manage local partnerships, steer experimentation, and ensure robust learning cycles that contribute to Theirworld’s pilot-to-scale strategy.
This role is ideal for someone who seeks greater depth of knowledge, impact-driven, and excited to shape how emerging technologies can accelerate educational equity in low-resource settings.
This role is for maternity cover but with the possibility of extension.
Main Responsibilities
Project Management
• Manage a diverse portfolio of education projects across Theirworld’s three pillars – Best Start in Life, A Safe Place to Learn, and Skills for the Future, with an emphasis on those leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
• Oversee programme planning, budgeting, delivery, reporting and learning for projects, ensuring milestones are met, partners are supported, and learnings are captured.
• Lead on the implementation of projects that apply digital or AI driven solutions to improve learning outcomes, particularly within the Skills for the Future pillar.
• Ensure all projects are inclusive and aligned with Theirworld’s cross-cutting vital areas: gender, inclusion, climate, health & nutrition, and peace & security.
AI for Future Skills
• Identify and manage projects that apply AI tools to build transferable, digital, and job-relevant skills for youth.
• Explore and test the potential of AI to personalise learning, support educators, and close skills gaps in marginalised communities.
• Ensure ethical, context sensitive, and inclusive use of AI in education projects, especially for girls, children with disabilities, and crisis-affected learners.
Partner Management and Grant Oversight
• Lead relationships with local delivery partners, edtech companies, and civil society organisations to co-deliver impactful projects.
• Draft and manage contracts and reporting templates; support partners with MEL frameworks aligned with pilot-to-scale goals.
• Conduct partner check-ins, manage grants, track spending, and ensure timely reporting and adaptive learning.
Learning and Contribution to Strategy
• Document and disseminate learnings and emerging insights on AI in education.
• Contribute to Theirworld’s knowledge assets and participate in knowledge sharing platforms and global convenings.
• Support scale strategies by contributing to replication toolkits and packages based on pilot results.
Cross-Team Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Theirworld, including development, campaigns, advocacy, communications, and research teams, to ensure alignment, maximise impact, and foster shared learning.
• Actively contribute to cross-organisational initiatives, helping integrate projects into wider strategic objectives.
• Engage with our Development and Fundraising team to identify and support the cultivation of potential funders and supporters for the project pipeline
• Provide additional support to the Director of Programmes and other team members as required to ensure the smooth delivery of projects and organisational priorities.
Experience, Skills and Character
• 5 - 7 years of experience in education, edtech, or AI-for-development projects.

Westway Trust is seeking a highly motivated Caretaker who will be passionate about developing and maintaining high standards of security and presentation of buildings across the 23 acres of estate, to ensure continuity of the use of the buildings and grounds for tenants and community use. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.
You will be an enthusiastic individual with a good level of customer service who will have the ability to deal confidently with tenants and the general public.
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Responsible for light maintenance and housekeeping duties across the Trust’s buildings and estate.
- Perform simple repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
- Conduct security checks of the Trust’s properties across the estate, involving opening buildings and locking all doors and windows when not in operation.
- Inspecting buildings, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order.
- For the general upkeep of buildings, sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for minor repairs working with the Facilities Team.
- Work with the Grounds & Gardens team to ensure Westway Trust’s land remains clean and tidy at all times (fly-tipping/bins/parking).
- Liaising with colleagues to assist in the unit base parking operations.
- Monitoring of bin collections and cleaning and re-arranging as required.
- Preparing rooms for meetings and events, including the moving of equipment such as tables and chairs.
- Liaising with Events Team to deliver support to events.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Three years of working with a property team or as a caretaker or in a similar role.
- Electrical and plumbing experience and / or qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Painting/decorating experience is desirable but not essential
- Good understanding of technical information, building construction and design.
- Practical ability to use and maintain tools.

About Bonsucro
Bonsucro is a global sustainability platform and standard for sugarcane. We accelerate the sustainable production and uses of sugarcane through our standards, tools, and collective action. Our digitalisation workstream is central to our strategy, aiming to future-proof systems, bring added-value data to the supply chain, and support action on sustainability.
Role Overview
This is a part time (21 hours per week) and fixed term role. We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Empower & Exchange Project—an ISEAL-funded initiative to create user-centric data products, and advance future-proofed data infrastructure to improve the sustainability and transparency of the sugarcane supply chain.
This role sits within the Corporate Services team and will lead the project from planning through execution and reporting, collaborating with internal teams, stakeholders, and project partners.
The Empower & Exchange project is an integral part of Bonsucro’s broader digitalisation strategy and is closely aligned with other organisational initiatives. The project has five core objectives to be delivered to an agreed workplan:
1.Engage market actors to identify key ESG reporting metrics.
2.Create data reports tailored to certified sugar mills and the wider supply chain.
3.Develop a secure, user-friendly system for access and export of producer data.
4.Map the evolving technology ecosystem for traceability and ESG reporting.
5.Compile trust criteria for inter-platform data sharing with stakeholder input.
Key Responsibilities
Project Strategy & Management
- Act as the Project Manager for the Empower & Exchange project, overseeing implementation, donor reporting, and team coordination.

We’re looking for a Peer Support Senior Officer (Online Community) to join our team and help us provide high-quality support to men and their loved ones navigating prostate cancer.
The Peer Support team plays a vital role in connecting men and their loved ones to others with lived experience of prostate cancer. We do this through our One-to-One Peer Support service which matches anyone affected by prostate cancer to our trained volunteers with a similar experience and more recently our Online Community, a website-based discussion forum that provides a space for men and their loved ones to share their experiences and find support.
As a Peer Support Senior Officer (Online Community), you’ll focus on assisting the Peer Support Manager with the development and integration of our Online Community into our wider support services. Once up and running, you’ll take the lead on the day-to-day management and moderation of the community. You’ll work closely with users to understand what they need from the platform, and you’ll be key in shaping it into a safe, welcoming and supportive space where people affected by prostate cancer can connect.
You’ll also develop policies and guidelines to ensure safe and respectful interactions, recruit and support volunteer moderators, and work with other teams to share helpful news, resources and health information on the forum. You’ll use analytics and user feedback to improve the platform and support its growth, while staying informed about best practice and emerging trends in online communities.
While the strong focus of this role will be the Online Community, you’ll also help deliver our One-to-One Peer Support service, triaging enquiries, matching service users with trained peer volunteers who’ve experienced prostate cancer and help with volunteer onboarding and coordination.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with experience managing an online community or similar digital support service. You’ll be comfortable providing information and support to people who may be facing difficult or emotional circumstances, and you’ll understand the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for users to connect and share.
You’ll bring a good understanding of digital engagement, knowing how to encourage community growth and participation, and you’ll be comfortable using data and insights to guide improvements. You’ll also have experience collecting and monitoring service data to help shape decisions and measure impact.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential. You’ll know how to engage sensitively with people who have lived experience, making sure their voices are reflected in how services are developed and delivered. You’ll also be able to work collaboratively across teams, building relationships with internal colleagues and external partners, and supporting cross-functional projects.
You’ll need to be organised and able to manage a varied workload. A flexible, responsive approach is key, and experience supporting or supervising volunteers would be a plus.
While you don’t need to be a clinical expert, a basic understanding of cancer care in the UK, and an awareness of how inequalities can affect access to health and support services, will help you approach the role with the insight and sensitivity it requires.

Officer will play a vital part of our team and help us to deliver our vision: a better life

About you:
Experience managing social media platforms in a professional setting.
Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft engaging and
compassionate content.
Ability to create and edit basic digital graphics and short-form video content
e.g. Instagram Reels and TikToks.
Confidence with social media scheduling tools and analytics platforms.
Basic knowledge of website content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
Basic knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp).
Basic knowledge of Google Ads.
Basic understanding of SEO principles.

Women at the Well is a support service for women based in the King’s Cross area of central London. We provide practical support and advocacy to women facing a wide range of disadvantages, and we have a specialism in working with women whose lives have been affected by prostitution and/or sexual exploitation. We are trauma informed, holistic and woman-centred. We deliver our mission through three interconnected services:
1. A women only drop-in service
2. An advocacy service
3. An outreach service
We take referrals from many external partners and while we have a hub-centre in Kings Cross we are a pan-London service.
Women at the Well has supported thousands of women over more than twenty years work in London. We see the complex ways in which women’s inequality, racism, disability and poor health, educational disadvantage, trauma in childhood, migration and the hostile immigration environment can all lead to significant social and economic disadvantages and harm. As well as providing tailored support, we aim to speak up for the rights of women to live lives free from abuse.
Job purpose:
The Head of Services role is critical to leading the delivery of the best possible support to the women who use our services. The Head of Services has lead responsibility for continuous review of the effectiveness of our services and whether they are meeting women’s needs. She needs to be in touch with what is happening in the lives of the women using our services.
We are looking for a strategic thinker who can shape and lead the future direction of our service, ensuring it continues to meet the complex and evolving needs of women affected by sexual exploitation. This person will have the vision to identify what needs to change and the leadership skills to drive that change with confidence and clarity.
They will be an empowering leader, capable of inspiring and supporting a skilled team of support workers and volunteers who are engaged in emotionally demanding work and who rely on strong, compassionate oversight. A deep understanding of the risks faced by the women we support—and a commitment to reducing those risks—must be at the heart of their approach.

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity that aims to support young people to make safe choices about drugs and alcohol and reduce harm. We do this through increasing understanding of the effects and risks, and helping to develop life skills and resilience. The Foundation was set up in January 2014 by Tim and Fiona Spargo-Mabbs in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Daniel having taken ecstasy
We are recruiting an Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will work closely with the Director to provide Executive Assistant support; work with the Head of Operations to provide HR and finance administration and coordination; and will provide general administrative support across the staff team. This is a new post to support our ever-growing work, and will be based in our Purley office.
Suitable candidates will:
- be passionate about supporting young people to make safer choices about drugs and alcohol
- have experience of providing EA support
- have experience and confidence of using financial data and of coordinating both finance and HR-related processes
- have excellent organisation and multi-tasking skills, with experience of coordinating a range of admin processes
- be a skilled and clear communicator, enjoying working closely with a number of people within the extended team
- enjoy working in a small and busy team
