Salary: £27,500 pro rata

About the Role

The Communications Officer plays an integral role in helping to communicate and execute the organisations mission. Supporting the Head of Communications, you will be part of a small team striving to raise awareness of the important work the charity does, ensuring it reaches key groups of people who need help the most. One minute you will be brainstorming and creating innovative and engaging social media posts and videos, the next you will be helping with targeted outreach and monitoring recent campaign performance.

This role is at the heart of communications, helping reach the target demographics in new and innovative ways - and inspiring others to get involved through volunteering and fundraising. Your work will help shine a light on services and build a strong community around the mission.

Key responsibilities

• Create fresh, engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn in line with the Communications strategy;
• Keep on top of key happenings such as internal fundraising events and campaigns, awareness weeks, and be able to brainstorm ways to get our charity involved and in relevant spaces;
• Work closely with the fundraising and volunteer teams to capture their real-life stories and inspirations and spin this into newsworthy content for our audiences;
• Help deliver targeted campaigns that attract new volunteers and supporters.
• Maintain our image and video library so we always have brilliant content at our fingertips.
• Understand how to access and produce data for reports and analytics.
• Managing and overseeing the Communications calendar and inbox, ensuring we stay on top of trending and seasonal points of interest. Responding to media and external enquiries.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a flair for creativity and the ability to

manage multiple projects. This person will have: a background in a Communications or Marketing

role, strong interest in mental health, the ability to write for specific audiences and understands the

importance of a brand and its key values. This person will be confident using Canva, Photoshop (or

something similar) and CMS systems, specifically Squarespace.

Youth Participation Officer

Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!

The post holder will manage and develop youth-led community projects in which young people develop their leadership and employability skills through becoming actively involved in their community and participating in self-directed community action. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of several youth-led community projects, primarily the organisation of youth-led community events, but might also include elements of other youth-led activities, such as youth action team, health champions and ambassadors. 

For example, typically, this would involve working with groups of around 10 young people in each cohort and support them to deliver their community event project over a 12-week period.  Examples of events include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and our community Christmas dinner. This post will be part of the delivery team overseeing self-directed community action projects. The post holder may also support drop-in sessions and other activities aimed at engaging young people and referring them onto the youth-led community action programme.

The social media officer sits within Alzheimer’s Research UK's Digital department. The primary purpose of the job is to engage and motivate supporters, raise awareness of dementia and dementia research, and promote Alzheimer’s Research UK's campaigns, fundraising efforts, health information, and research initiatives.

This is an important role, helping to drive Alzheimer's Research UK’s online presence, engagement, and impact, while staying at the forefront of digital trends and technologies. The role is an exciting and fast-moving one, ideally suited to someone skilled in content creation, strategy, relationship building, analytics and innovation, to effectively communicate the charity’s mission and engage supporters.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Social Media Content Strategy Execution

· Support on the development and execution of a comprehensive social media content strategy, aligned with Alzheimer’s Research UK’s mission and goals.

Content planning and Scheduling

· Working alongside the rest of the social media team to plan content within our management platform ‘Sprout Social’ and ensure we are maximising opportunities across our socials such as Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.

· Identify optimal posting times and frequency to maximise audience engagement and reach.

· Work with the in-house video and design experts to produce eye-catching and compelling new assets which engage audiences with our brand message, raise awareness of dementia and dementia research and increase our reach and followers.

· Work with our senior social media officer to plan and deliver impactful video content across channels. Identifying opportunities to optimise long and short form video for the channels.

· Identify and encourage the use of sharable third-party and user generated content which aligns with Alzheimer’s Research UK’s brand messaging to support creative campaigns and initiatives.

Audience engagement and Relationship Building

· Monitor interactions across Alzheimer’s Research UK’s socials, proactively engaging with supporters to ensure they receive a positive experience.

· Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining high level of attention to detail to the brand voice in all social interactions.

· Be a confident and proficient communicator, able to adopt an appropriate tone of voice for each of our different audience types (including the communication of complex or sensitive issues. Able to communicate sensitively on several issues in a timely manner.

Reporting and Trend Analysis

· Produce insight driven and eye-catching regular reports on content for teams across the charity, to communicate key successes and areas for development, using your expertise and knowledge about the platforms.

· Proactively research, learn and suggest ways to improve our ways of working and efficiency by utilising emerging digital trends, such as artificial intelligence.

Internal Engagement and Collaboration

· Support teams across the charity with their social content, identifying opportunities to share our research, health information, fundraising and other campaign activities; as well as advising on best practice.

· Work with the Social Media Manager to enhance the Employee Advocacy Approach, fostering engagement and participation among staff in sharing social content.

Learning and Development

· Ensure all activities comply with our brand and data guidelines and meet the high professional standards of Alzheimer’s Research UK and represents the values of the organisation to the fullest

What we are looking for:

· Experience of working across social media channels for a medium-large size organisation.

· Experience of using a Social Media Management tool such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Falcon.

· Experience of reviewing and disseminating social media metrics and reports. Experience in project and campaign planning for social channels

· Confident in leading discussions and driving creativity and new ideas in social content planning.

· Excellent organisational skills, with ability to juggle a number of projects simultaneously.

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic communicator to help raise Creekside’s profile and connect with a growing, diverse audience. The Digital Campaigns Officer role aims to increase the effectiveness of Friends of the Earth’s online actions to engage new supporters and mobilise activists. The Digital Campaigns Officer is part of the Campaign Activism team, which works to make sure that our campaigns work effectively with our activist network, our international network, and makes best use of our supporter base for campaigning. You’ll also be working with a wide range of teams and campaigns across the organisation, including the marketing and digital teams.

We’re looking for someone who has some understanding of online campaigning, can pick up digital tools quickly, and who is comfortable writing high-quality copy sometimes to tight deadlines. Led by a Funding Manager and supported by four other Funding Officers, you will be responsible for the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas while also working flexibly across the wider local team to help meet the demands of our funding programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team delivering over £30m annually to support communities and create real impact across Northern Ireland

Based primarily in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas, you will work from home and within local community settings. The role will also require travel to our Belfast office (around once every couple of weeks) as well as occasional visits to other parts of the Southern team area.

This is a varied and rewarding role and involves assessing funding applications across our programmes, managing grants and monitoring progress and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will use your local knowledge and experience to help ensure funding is directed where it can make the greatest difference to places, people and communities who experience poverty, disadvantage and discrimination. 

Key responsibilities may include:

• Assessing funding applications across our programmes
• Managing your own caseload of grants, including liaising with grant holders, visiting projects, identifying and managing risks, and supporting organisations to deliver and evaluate their work.
• Understanding and responding to the different needs of communities, applicants and grant holders
• Providing constructive advice and feedback, supporting applicants while being confident to have challenging conversations where needed
• Representing the Fund by engaging with key stakeholders, including applicants, support agencies, Council staff, and by attending funding fairs and external meetings.
• Sharing learning from your conversations, events, project visits, reports and evaluations to help maximize our impact as a grant maker.

You may come from a voluntary sector background - many of our colleagues do- but we are also very open to transferable skills from other sectors. What matters most is your ability to build relationships, use sound judgement and support communities to thrive.

The Centre for Progressive Change is looking for a full-time Operations Director that will be part of the newly formed Executive Team. The Research Team is pivotal to ensuring that research funded by Children with Cancer UK is at the
forefront of the children and young person’s cancer research area. You will have the opportunity to be at
the cutting edge of cancer research in children and young people and work closely with members of the

About the role:

To provide front-line support services to Motability, Warwick House and Stadium Way ensuring high levels of customer service.The role is a diverse role with an ever-changing environment, workload and demand so the ability to work under pressure and with a variety of priorities is essential.

As part of this role there is a requirement to work out of hours, in the evening, weekends and bank holidays as required, In addition you will be on call 24 hours a day on a 4-weekly rota.

What you will be doing:

Helpdesk and Building Management System (BMS) Usage 

• Use the Helpdesk system to monitor, input, respond and react to jobs logged.

• Utilise the BMS to control and adapt settings of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Identify and act on fault alerts within the system and identify the correct course of remedial action. 

• Be the main point of contact for any plant room issues. Take and record monthly utility readings. 

 Vehicles and Driving Duties 

• Safely drive the company minibus when required. 

• In accordance with the departments pre planned maintenance schedule, co-ordinate the MOTs, servicing, Road Fund License applications and tail lift services for the company vehicles. 

• Keep the pool vehicles and minibus in good condition to ensure roadworthiness. Record mileage, maintain logbook records. Prepare and maintain user guides for all company pool cars.

• Prepare Motability Foundation vehicles for end of lease return in a timely fashion and as to limit any penalties. 

• Receive in from suppliers and provide handover of hire vehicles and pool cars to staff including instructions on safe use and record damage, fuel levels etc. 

 Maintenance and Health and Safety Duties 

• Provide light maintenance as applicable.

• Ensure that all access and egress areas are kept clear and risk free.
• Provide retrieval, storage, and distribution of items to and from our storage locations.

• Ensure that all health and safety paperwork and logbooks are maintained.

• Conduct Health and Safety Walk Rounds for all new starters.

• Provide management information in line with the PUWER regulations. 

• Move, relocate, and reassemble meeting room furniture to suit desired layouts. 

• Perform PAT testing and update records accordingly. 

• Perform Health and Safety inspections. 

• Assist with reporting, risk assessment writing and fixed assets records. 

• Undertake the Warwick House weekly fire alarm tests and associated paperwork.

• Undertake electrical testing, life safety system inspections (Alarms, FFE & EL), LCoP L8 Water monitoring, fire equipment monitoring and update records accordingly.

• Assist with employee workplace adjustment process ensuring that the best solution is reached.

• Act as the assistant to the Lead Fire Marshal during drills and evacuations, in their absence take on this role.

• Complete daily walk rounds ensuring any faults are logged, and remedial action taken. 

• Assist in the management of the COSHH registers on site.

• In line with procedures and policies, control contractors working on site ensuring security, safety, and compliance.

• As needed complete homeworking assessments, home visits and assessment checks for those staff on a blended working agreement.

• Check the condition of the Warwick House roof in line with PPM ensuring correct safety process is followed.

• Undertake working at height duties in line with the Motability Foundations risk assessment and PASMA tower training.

• Complete actions assigned through the legislation compliance system.

 Audio Visual and Technical Support  

• Be the first point of contact for any Audio-Visual queries, trouble shoot the system and resolve any issues.

• Design, arrange and deliver training for end users on how to use the equipment. 

Security and Disaster Recovery Duties 

• As required program the pass control cards for staff.

• Undertake the new starter and leaver process.

• Utilise the organisations CCTV system as appropriate in accordance with the security policy.

• Act as a key holder in the opening of the building daily.

• On a roster basis, act as a key holder for alarm activation call outs during the working week, out of hours and at weekends including public holidays. 

• Investigate any potential security issues that may occur during the day.

• Play a vital role in the recovery of the business in case of service failure or systems loss. 

Your experience:

Essential:

• Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent including English and Maths. 
• Full Clean Driving Licence.
• Light maintenance experience, ideally with good knowledge of building management services
• Good knowledge of vehicles.
• Good MS Office suite skills -Word, Excel, Outlook. 

 Desirable: 

• IOSH Working Safely trained. 
• PAT certificated.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, managing the accounts of existing corporate partners and generating income through securing new corporate partnerships. These partnerships will generate both donations and earned income, with corporate partners contracting Tender to deliver workplace training. You will also work closely with our Corporate Advisory Board, which includes a diverse, ambitious group of professionals who are supporting us to maximise our corporate income stream. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding approaches and workforce training pitches, through to successfully managing relationships with corporate partners.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in researching and developing prospect lists for priority industries and implementing new business campaigns which will secure multi-year high value partnerships, both for workplace training and donations
• Experience of selling training programmes to businesses
• Experience in developing engaging and impactful partnership proposals and training propositions
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels

The main purposes of the Development Officer role are:

• Working with the Development team to collectively achieve annual fundraising targets exceeding £2m per year
• Selling workplace training and donation opportunities to corporate partners across a range of industries, but in particular the legal and financial services sectors
• Supporting the CEO and Development Director to increase Tender’s workplace training delivery in order to achieve income targets through sales
• Contributing to applications and events in support of fundraising from other sources
