Mind in Salford is an independent mental health charity affiliated with the national Mind network. We provide advocacy, training, and support services that empower people across Salford to improve their mental wellbeing. Role Overview:
We are looking for a creative and proactive Communications & Engagement Coordinator to help us raise awareness of our services, promote our campaigns, and engage our community through compelling communications.
This role plays a vital part in supporting the delivery of Mind in Salford’s communications strategy. Working closely with the Business Development Manager and teams across the organisation — including the Rainbow Mind LGBTQIA+ Service, advocacy, and fundraising — you’ll help manage our digital channels, produce engaging content, and support campaigns that promote mental health awareness across Salford and Greater Manchester.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver engaging digital and print content
- Manage social media and website updates
- Support public campaigns and service promotion
- Collaborate across teams including Rainbow Mind (LGBTQIA+ service)
You’ll need:
- Experience in comms, marketing, or digital content
- Strong writing, design (Canva), and social media skills
- Familiarity with WordPress and analytics tools

Over the past 18 months, our team has been building a movement of support for young people across Wales, having a significant impact on their life chances and working towards the aim of inspiring every young person in the country.

About the role
As North Wales Project Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in:
- Connecting volunteers with schools and colleges, ensuring young people benefit from inspiring talks and workshops.

Do you want to make a meaningful difference in local communities?
We are looking for a Community Support Coordinator to lead and develop our Community Support Volunteer service. You will ensure support for people living with and affected by MND is accessible, safe and inclusive. You will build strong partnerships with health and social care professionals, recruit, manage and guide volunteers, and help ensure individuals have choice and control in the support they receive.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in managing and co-ordinating volunteers, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders. The Community Support Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening local services and supporting volunteers to feel valued and effective in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of Community Support Volunteers, ensuring services are safe, inclusive and meet local needs
- Provide guidance to volunteers on complex care and support issues, including signposting to other services
- Respond promptly to enquiries and referrals, offering information and facilitating access to support and resources
- Build and maintain effective relationships with health and social care professionals and local partners
- Support branches and groups to plan and deliver activities that respond to local needs
- Recruit, induct and develop volunteers, ensuring they are well supported and connected
- Enable effective communication and collaboration between volunteers, staff and partners
- Contribute to service development, sharing feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement
About You:
- Experience leading or co-ordinating groups of volunteers
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and influence effectively
- Ability to assess and respond to support needs through a person-centred approach
- Understanding of care and support services across statutory, private or voluntary sectors, and the role of volunteers
- Experience of working with people at risk of harm, and an understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- Ability to build networks and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

About this key role

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role could suit two types of candidates:
- A practitioner with experience of working with children and families who wants to use their practice experience in a programme management role, or;
- An experienced programme manager with strong public sector and/or charity sector experience, who is confident working with data and is relational and collaborative with colleagues and partners.
It would be an advantage, though not essential, to have experience of Family Group Decision Making, solution-focused practice, or the children’s social care sector.
Whilst this role is a managerial role, and not day-to-day family-facing we do make space for our Programme Managers to hold a limited number of referrals each year to nurture skills and practice experience. Full practitioner training is provided for all Daybreak employees.
The role is home based with regular travel into Bromley and Hackney Local Authority offices. A successful candidate would also need to actively work in person with commissioners, external partners, and communities in and around Bromley and Hackney on a regular basis, depending on service needs. Willingness to travel to other areas, depending on service need and growth is needed.
What does a week look like for a Daybreak Programme Manager?
No two weeks are the same, but as a Programme Manager you can expect to balance a mix of operational oversight, supporting your freelancer team, and stakeholder engagement. Typical activities include:
Ensuring a quality service for families, and delivering on contract aims
- Reviewing and triaging referrals, including case discussions with referrers.
- Quality-assuring referrals and Family Plans, ensuring procedures are followed and records are kept up to date in our case management system.
- Monitoring case records to make sure Family Group Conferences are progressing appropriately, and accurate records are being kept.
- Collating and analysing performance data (KPIs), using MS Excel and other tools.
- Writing quarterly reports for commissioners, analysing service delivery, providing narratives and identifying areas for development.
Working with your freelancer team of Coordinators
- Allocating new referrals to our team of freelance Independent Coordinators.
- Engaging Coordinators in best practice discussions, providing guidance to overcoming barriers or issues.
- Acting as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, reviewing incident reports and escalating when required.
- Hosting in-person and online Practice Development Groups to share key messages and facilitate best practice discussions.
- Recruiting, inducting, and supporting new Coordinators - from advertising and interviews to observing practice.
- Reviewing and signing off invoices from freelance Coordinators.
Working with external stakeholders and referrers
- Building relationships with referrers such as Social Workers, through consultations and attending team meetings.
- Promoting our services to commissioners and senior managers in children’s social care, ensuring referrals are high quality whilst also raising awareness of the value of FGCs and our service.
Contributing to the wider Charity aims
- Attending Programme Manager and staff team meetings.

Role Summary
- The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. What the role involves
1. Ensuring that there are regular training opportunities for both new starters and those requiring refresher sessions or updates when new functions or forms are released. LOCATION OF THE POST HOLDER
The post holder will be required to work from our drop-in space and office in Central Glasgow and will have flexibility to work from home. There may be occasional travel throughout Scotland and the UK as part of the role, including to NUM’s main offices in Manchester. All equipment required for remote working will be provided and costs for travel outside of normal working spaces will be reimbursed by NUM.
ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for an outstanding organiser and communicator to manage NUMbrella Lane (NBL) in Glasgow. NUMbrella Lane has been operating since 2022 after NUM took over aspects of the programming from the charity that ran Umbrella Lane. Since then, the project has evolved to provide in-person health and wellbeing support to Scotland-based sex workers and host events and outings within the community with a focus on community connectivity, reducing isolation and addressed root causes of interpersonal and intersectional violence. NBL is one of few sex worker-led services in the region and we seek innovative leadership that will execute our framework for change, build on partnerships, increase financial resources, and improve the service to the quality requested by communities of sex workers who live in or tour Scotland.
The post holder is a key point of contact who will further develop health testing services and other material support with, by and for sex workers. The NBL manager will co-design service delivery plans based on the needs of the community and NUM’s larger strategic vision; support the work of the Victim Support Case Worker based at NUMbrella Lane, the Mental Health Support Service Coordinator, and a new post, the Vocational Support Worker. The manager will be required to ensure the delivery of regular drop-in sessions, outings and events, and digital services in consultation with sex workers in Scotland and collaborate with the Manager of Support Services to support Victim and Vocational case work services to Glaswegians.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years’ experience as a manager in a position of public trust or in other leadership roles, have an excellent track record in program management and community development. Experience in or knowledge of adult industries is highly desirable. We value lived experience and welcome applicants with insight into the sector, but we do not require applicants to disclose personal histories. Experience with charity sector fund development and community development among marginalised communities are an asset.
The NBL manager must be knowledgeable about sex workers’ lived experiences, the socio-legal and political contexts within which sex workers and NUM are situated, and the ability to navigate a difficult terrain towards improving the systems, structures and services that influence the health and wellbeing of sex workers in Scotland in service to our mandate to 'end all forms of violence against sex workers' and eliminate the conditions that lead to poverty and survival sex work.
ABOUT NUM
National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is a UK-wide charity providing victim/survivor support and violence prevention services to sex workers, to ensure greater access to justice and protection. We serve sex workers of all genders, backgrounds and modes of work. We offer a digital tools reporting and alerting mechanism to warn sex workers about dangerous individuals who may target them; online screening tools; and individualised support for those who experience harm from a specialist team of Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) and other experts. Some of this victim support work is done within formal partnerships with sister organisation. We run a wellbeing drop-in service in Glasgow and other in-person services and events in Manchester and London. We have developed Vocational Support Services for those exploring careers both in and outside of sex industries and we run a Racial Justice project that visibilises the lived experiences of harm among racialised sex workers towards systems change. We are currently enhancing services for sex workers who are 18-25 years of age and those under 30.
NUM values those with lived experience in sex industries and work with them to shape services and responses, conduct research, develop education packages, and participate in policy advocacy to change the conditions that lead to survival sex work, gain rights and recognition, and improve the safety of UK-based sex workers.
NUM is run by our CEO and governance is provided by a board of Trustees.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years' work experience as a manager or coordinator leading implementation of projects and services to marginalised populations with experience being responsible for environments and services.

Main Purpose of Job
The Programme Coordinator – Careers, Events and Pathways is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of large scale employability events and progression initiatives for young people. These include careers fairs, widening and participation events and employer engagement activities designed to open access to real world opportunities. This role will lead events from planning and partner liaison to on-the-ground delivery and post-evaluation reporting.
The coordinator will work with employers, schools, colleges, and local authorities to co-create meaningful pathways for young people, ensuring activities are aligned with labour market needs and tailored to the aspirations of young people we are working with.
The coordinator will take a lead on developing and managing strategic partnerships with employers and external organisations to broker new opportunities and promote progression routes into education, employment or training.
Grounded in youth work values, the coordinator will offer mentoring, support, and guidance to help young people navigate their next steps, overcome barriers, and access the right pathway for their goals.
Responsibilities
Event Planning and programme delivery
- Design, plan and deliver high quality and innovative events and activities for the youth and employability programme offer. Lead on major events such as careers fairs, job fairs, employer panels, and large outreach opportunities, ensuring effective planning, logistics, and execution.
- Ensure all events and activities meet the needs of participants, align with programme and partner objectives, and are delivered to agreed deadlines.
- Lead on event and programme logistics including planning, external bookings and venue hire, facilitators, transport, resources, risk assessment and other associated logistics.
- Provide tailored events and activities for young people from vulnerable, underrepresented and NEET Groups.
- Deliver presentations, sessions and other events (e.g. assemblies, PSHE lessons, lunch time stalls, workshops, job fair) to primary and secondary schools, non-mainstream schools, colleges, and other organisations to engage young people.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including existing partners (e.g Worley, UK Youth), local professional organisations, schools and colleges, local authorities, and future key stakeholders as they come onboard.
- Work in partnership with stakeholders to co-design and deliver events, promote programme opportunities, recruit participants, and support youth progression.
- Seek out new opportunities in relation to employment and training to support young people progress on to positive pathways. Work with stakeholders to develop new initiatives and collaborative projects.
Youth Engagement and support
- Lead cohorts of young people through events and programmes. Supervise, take responsibility for the pastoral care, and ensure safety needs of the young people are always met.
- Engage and build positive relationships with young people to provide effective support, mentoring and coaching on a one-to-one and group basis where needed.
- Develop, implement, and lead on recruitment and engagement strategies to recruit and retain young people for events.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Record and monitor programme, partner and participant data using the relevant CRM systems ensuring all data is kept up to date.
- Ensure all administration tasks are completed accurately and within allocated time scales including handling personal data, managing expenses, safeguarding reporting, and risk assessments.
- Achieve weekly and monthly targets as set out by the Senior Manager, or partner organisation/ funder and regularly provide reports and monitoring information.
Leadership and Team Collaboration
- Lead and support casual staff to deliver high quality programmes, providing regular feedback and embedding reflective practice.
- Support the Senior Manager in recruitment, training, and supervision of casual delivery staff.
- Attend regular supervision sessions, team & organisation meetings, and complete compulsory training to enable all duties to be carried out effectively.
- Deputise for the Senior Manager when appropriate. Fulfil any other reasonable duties and responsibilities considered appropriate by the Senior Manager
- Work closely with the Senior Manager, Coordinators, Youth Workers, Coaches and programme partners to support the young people on the programmes ensuring a united approach.

Qualifications and experience
- Graduate degree level and or/ IAG Level 2 / Event Management and/or strong relevant experience (youth work, educational, community based, events, careers).
- Demonstrable experience (at least 2 years) of working with young people and children to inspire, motivate and support them to positively engage in new opportunities and develop new skills.
- Experience of leading, planning and delivering high-quality events and programmes for large groups (50/100+).
