As Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will:

Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) is seeking an experienced and visionary academic leader to become the inaugural Director of the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium UK (ROC-UK). About the role
This is a key role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team. About you

You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.
It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. You must have experience and knowledge of statutory and grant fundraising research tools and grant writing in the UK charity sector.

This is what you'll be doing:
- Lead the delivery and expansion of a successful trolley services across South Wales.
- Manage the recruitment of volunteers to lead trolley services.
- Engage, motivate and coordinate your team of volunteers to ensure reliable and consistent trolley services.
- Create and maintain positive working relationships with various NHS Trusts to operate, promote and develop trolley services.
- Ensure that volunteers and trolley services comply with associated statutory standards policies and procedures e.g. Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Data Protection, Financial controls and other operating policies and procedures.
- Deliver trolley services in line with agreed Profit and Loss budget, monitoring performance regularly in order to flex costs in line with turnover performance.

Job Purpose
The Digital Transformation Lead will spearhead the implementation of the Cathedral’s Digital Strategy. Working closely with the Cathedral Leadership Team, Heads of Department, and wider stakeholders, this role will lead the integration of digital systems, improve data management, drive operational efficiency, and support audience engagement through technology. The postholder will ensure the Cathedral’s digital infrastructure aligns with strategic priorities, supports compliance (including the UK GDPR), and unlocks new opportunities for outreach, engagement, fundraising, and income generation.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead change management and actively support a culture of inclusion, ensuring that all members of the Cathedral community, regardless of age, background, digital literacy, or ability, can engage with and benefit from new systems and technologies.
· Create and implement change management plans including stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, training, and accessible support materials.

Main Terms and Conditions
Employment status: Fixed Term for 2 years
Location: Wells Cathedral, 16 Market Place, Wells, Somerset, BA5 2RB
Hours of work: 35 working hours per week. Core hours are 9.00 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Monday to Friday) with an unpaid lunch break of 1 hour each day. Flexible working will be considered.
Remuneration: £50,000 per annum, payable on the 24th of the month or the nearest working day thereto.

Parking: Limited parking is available in the Cathedral car park. Cars are parked at the risk of the owner.
