About the role:

This role is based In Pontypool Police Station however we have currently adopted a hybrid model. As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally. Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Ensure that support plans are developed with clients where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
• Provide accurate and timely performance information for internal and external use.
• Work with the client and other statutory and voluntary agencies to address the identified needs.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Ensure that all clients are of aware of their rights under the Victim's Code of Practice and the Witness Charter.
• To work alongside a team of staff (and volunteers where applicable) to reflect the diverse community and the needs of the victims, including those with particular vulnerabilities, utilising national and local resources to deliver individual, bespoke services with respect, dignity and sensitivity.
• Comply and keep up to date with data protection legislation, confidentiality and organisational policies and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that all outcomes and KPI measures are met relevant to the local contract.

You will need:

• To demonstrate a good understanding and use of the English language both verbally and in writing Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to undertake impact and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
• Experience of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults.
• The ability to manage a demanding workload and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines.
• The ability to identify, develop and maintain partnerships with all relevant external organisations.
• Excellent telephone and IT skills required to use a database and undertake all administrative and reporting requirements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning Fundraising Team at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity. The School:

Merchant Taylors’ School is a large Independent Boys’ School, situated in 280 acres of parkland in Northwood, Middlesex.  The School was founded in 1561, is owned by the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust and moved to its present site in 1933. There are four distinct boys’ day schools on campus. The Nursery, the Pre-Prep & the Prep cater for 370 boys, while the Senior School has over 960 pupils. Main duties and responsibilities:

Fundraising

· Developing and innovating the school’s regular giving programme, the Merchant Taylors’ Fund, to ensure a consistent income stream and increased participation from alumni, parents and friends.

· In conjunction with external consultants, running our (currently) biennial telephone fundraising campaigns and Giving Days.

· Liaising with school departments, clubs and societies to identify exciting projects to motivate supporters.

· Segmenting and targeting recipients for appeals to ensure the greatest impact and returns.

· Devising the strategy for promoting legacy giving as a means of supporting Merchant Taylors’, and to implement this strategy to increase the number of known legacy pledges to the school.

 Stewardship

· Establishing and running a comprehensive benefactor stewardship programme that thanks and stewards donors at all levels, including legacy pledges, through regular communication and events.

Reporting

· Reporting on progress against all objectives to the Development and Alumni Relations Sub-Committee of Governors.

· Where appropriate, working with the Development Executive (Events and Communications), to produce benefactor report publications and contribute to other Development publications.

· Ensuring that all contact with OMTs and parents is recorded on the Development Office’s database, the Raiser’s Edge.

Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)

Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: £23,085.69 per annum, inclusive of London weighting allowance 
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 

Hours: 30 hours per week (days to be discussed). Please note that the the operating hours of the service are 8AM- 6PM Monday- Friday with the expectation to work on some days 8- 4pm or 10- 6pm to cover. 

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Duty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to be the first point of contact for women who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..

In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.

The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

Purpose of this role

Responsibilities and Expectations  

• Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Chief Operating Officer, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 

• Coordinate the preparation and timely circulation of agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Board and Committee meetings.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis (CF). We fund vital research, improve care, speak out and race towards effective treatments for all. Cystic Fibrosis Trust is here to make sure everyone with cystic fibrosis can live without limits.
 
This role is part of the Work Forwards programme which is our programme of employment support, offering information, signposting, and practical support to people with CF. We help people affected by CF pursue their career aspirations and move towards secure fulfilling employment.  

In this role, you will support a caseload of people with cystic fibrosis, building their confidence and empowering them to secure and retain employment that helps them lead a fulfilling life. You’ll work with each client to understand their skills, aspirations, work experience and build their confidence in tackling the challenges they perceive/have experienced in employment due to their cystic fibrosis. Through supportive delivery of information, advice and guidance, you’ll ensure people with CF can access the support they need to achieve their ambitions and make sure their work fits around their health.  
 
You will also get involved with the programme’s wider activities, including supporting the development of new resources, getting involved in the planning and delivery of online sessions, videos and webinars, and making sure we can share and celebrate the stories of people with CF in a wide range of jobs and careers. Our Area Leads are new roles that will add capacity and strength to our team of Bereavement Practitioner’s, Family support workers and volunteers across a defined geographic area. The roles will work with the Head of Service delivery and lead Sandy Bear activity across their designated area, develop strong links across a variety of networks and forums to ensure our beneficiaries access the right support, at the right time.

These roles are great for those passionate about having the opportunity to support our families directly, whilst also being involved in broader development work to enable strong collaborations and partnerships which empower people to achieve better outcomes.

The post holder will develop and deliver a varied programme of activities and groups that help facilitate friendships, build community and offer positive life experiences. The role primarily involves overseeing and developing our youth café, including overseeing the fantastic volunteer workforce who support it. It also involves leading our community drop-in sessions for young people who are disengaged from school due to mental ill-health.
 
Secondarily, the successful applicant will support our wider work, such as our primary school transition project, which delivers small group and class work to over 300 year 6 students to aid their transition to secondary school. The successful applicant may also deliver some informal one-to-one mentoring support to students in the local high school.
 
We’re looking for a visionary, relationship-oriented person, who is drawn to people, empathic and authentic in their relationships. These qualities reflect who we are as an organisation: real, relational and responsive to our community.
 
It’s so important to us to find the right person for this role, so we’re open to offering it on a full or part-time basis, from 3 days up to 5 days per week. The role will require a minimum of working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as standard, plus Friday evenings during school term time.
