Job description

Casework Coordinator – Devon & Cornwall Prison Resettlement Service
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week 
Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2021
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £23,000.00 pro rata 
Closing Date: Friday 19 June '20 (12 noon).

Please note that due to the peripatetic nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to hold a full driving licence and have access to transport for work use.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to provide invaluable support to individuals moving away from a pattern of offending and into settled accommodation in Devon & Cornwall. The new member of staff will be joining a friendly and high performing team who have made a real difference to individuals seeking to make sustained changes to their pattern of offending. Individuals with a history of homelessness are at significant risk at the point they are released from prison this role will allow the applicant to support the individual into appropriate accommodation and work with them to build happy and healthy patterns of behaviour.  

The purpose of this role is to assess individuals referred by criminal justice partners to establish their suitability to be accommodated in Julian House supported accommodation. The successful applicant will work with these clients to help them establish a home and develop a plan that allows them to meet their diverse support needs. The successful applicant will work closely with criminal justice partners to jointly support the client group and tio expand and develop the project.
