We are looking to recruit a Senior Committees Coordinator or a Committees Coordinator (dependent on experience) to deliver high-quality, professional support to FIGO’s divisions and committees, as well as members, partners and stakeholders. You'll be creating strong relationships and deepening engagement within and between divisions and committees.

Events coordinator

Job Purpose: To support the CHS Alliance secretariat to ensure it delivers professional external events that meet the needs of our key audiences and advance our strategic goals, on time and within budget. Primary focus of this role will be the coordination and logistical management of the General Assembly in December 2024.

Background: The Events Coordinator role sits within the Network Engagement and Communications department and works closely with staff across the CHS Alliance, including those working on CHS outreach, HR/Governance and the Executive Director, on events organisation and delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

Event coordination

1. Coordinate the team and workplan to support smooth and timely delivery of key CHS Alliance events, with particular focus on the General Assembly (GA) taking place in Bangkok 5-6 December 2024.

2. Prepare and attend event working group meetings (e.g. set agenda, organise doodle polls, book conference rooms, take notes, etc.) 

3. Overseeing and updating the event workplan (e.g. gannt chart), flagging upcoming milestones and deadlines to event lead

Event logistics

4. Assist in identifying service providers by providing quotes and completing any other tasks requested by the line manager or event lead.

5. Procure supplies for event and ensure all material needed on site is prepared and up to date.

6. Follow up with the venues; liaise with the venue prior to, during and after the events.

7. Assist with all logistical aspects linked to catering, refreshments, room equipment (incl. audio visual), stationery, signs and identification (badges, etc.), and trip booking (hotels, flights, visa) where required, etc.

Communications & IT

8. Set up events on relevant platform (e.g. Zoom, CHS Alliance website)

9. Prepare and update registrations and participants’ lists

10.  Draft and send communication materials to participants, using software like Mailmerge or Mailchimp

11.  Assist with speaker outreach and briefings as appropriate.

12.  Manage the Alliance’s Zoom account as an administrator

Reporting and monitoring

13.  Monitor and report on project progress and related expenses according to the CHS Alliance financial policy and procedures.

14.  Manage and maintain an external events calendar for the CHS Alliance, to assist staff with horizon scanning and scheduling.

15.  Carry out any other relevant activities as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our PCN3 Care Co-ordinator team. Development and Volunteer Coordinator Lead

The Role

This is a new and exciting role based in Lewisham for a Development and Volunteer coordinator lead. The role entails managing a team of volunteers and Peer mentors to deliver a service to Lewisham residents who are experiencing Drug and/or alcohol use and support Peer mentors to distribute Naloxone to the local community.

They are looking for an innovative and creative person to develop and implement a buddying system and a telephone helpline which will be staffed by a team of volunteers.

They are based in Forest Hill SE23 which is 20 mins from London Bridge mainline station. The contract is for one year (with the possibility of an extension) and they welcome applicants who have lived experience of drugs, alcohol, homelessness or mental health challenges. The role is for 37 hours per week but they are willing to consider part time applicants or a job share.

Global Generation is looking for a Youth Programmes and Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about engaging young people and local communities in reaching their full potential and creating positive social and environmental change. In this role, you will co-lead on the outreach and engagement of local communities, especially with a focus on involving and recruiting young people, as well as planning and facilitation of land-based, cooking and creative workshops. You will particularly focus on working with communities in Islington as we increase our engagement initiatives towards the co-build of our permanent community garden in King’s Cross (which sits on the Islington side), due to start this summer.

Working from educational and biodiverse garden spaces such as the Story Garden and Floating Garden in King’s Cross (with a permanent community garden to be built over the next 2 years in KX) and the Paper Garden in Canada Water, we combine activities such as urban food growing, carpentry, making, cooking, and healthy eating with dialogue, storytelling, creative writing, performance and art, silence and stillness. These practices help us to create the conditions for people to come together in a fuller and more connected sense of who they are and what they are a part of and, from that space, to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change. 

Young people have always been and continue to be at the heart of our work. We aim to support them to develop and lead, offering progression opportunities to move from being participants to being action researchers, co-facilitators and ambassadors, to being paid fellows, staff and trustees.

This role is primarily based at the Story Garden and Floating Garden in King’s Cross (and eventually on the new garden we will be building) and working with our Islington community. You will work closely with the education & community programmes team, gardeners, chefs, volunteers and young people, running hands-on and reflective sessions for people of all ages.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

The two main areas of the role are:

1. Outreach, engagement and recruitment

• Lead on the recruitment and engagement of young people throughout the year, primarily through schools, colleges, community groups, local referral agencies, and local network meetings and events

• Develop a diverse range of engaging outreach / recruitment materials, including social media content for the purposes of showcasing our work and inspiring other young people to join

• Create and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of audiences, including young people, parents, local community groups and businesses

• Inspire young people to participate via assemblies, talks, outreach workshops and follow up phone calls

• Assist young people and their parents through the sign-up process from initial expression of interest to joining our programmes, through being in regular contact in the ways that work best for young people

• Retention of young people through active engagement in person and phone calls and/or texts prior to each session

• Attend local forums, actively participate in networks of local organisations, and build relationships with organisations and local people to engage them in the co-build of the new permanent garden

2. Programme Planning, Coordination and Facilitation

• Work closely with the Youth Programmes team in planning, facilitating and evaluating sessions with young people

• Inspire and support young people to lead on their own socially and environmentally impactful projects in the local area

• Work alongside the wider Global Generation teams (kitchen, garden, natural build) and in partnership with other local organisations and businesses to enhance the opportunities available to young people

• Document and evaluate the youth programmes you are working on using creative means through a wide range of approaches, incorporating quantitative and qualitative data

• Report to funders in a range of formats depending on what is needed

• The programmes you will coordinate and co-facilitate are:

• Friday Night Out: Fortnightly after-school cooking programme (4:00-6:30pm), engaging children (8-12 year olds) in discovering the joys of seed to plate, seasonal and sustainable food, growing, harvesting and cooking their own produce. You will work alongside one of our chefs so do not need to be a chef, though an interest in sustainable food and gardening experience is desirable

• Generator programme: Regular after-school workshops and experiences for young people aged 13+,  incorporating a range of approaches and hands-on and reflective activities to support the holistic development of young people and encourage them to take social and environmental action in their communities

• Partnership with Heatherwick Studio as part of a collaborative Young Inspirers programme, linking local school children with opportunities in their studio

You will also work with the Youth & Community Team to plan and deliver community / intergenerational events and experiences that bring people of different ages together.

 Role description

As Commercial Sales & Events Coordinator you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support to the weddings and event hire team. Dealing with initial enquiries and conducting show-rounds to putting together event packages and maintaining the booking system are all in a days work. In addition, you’ll be adept at liaising with clients and suppliers, setting up for events and delivering the best possible experience to guests on the day – always making sure we deliver a first-class service. Weddings, film shoots (we can certainly name drop a few people!), event and venue hires - you’ll deliver excellent customer service and administrative support. You’ll be helping to maximize Gunnersbury’s commercial potential and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. There is real variety to this role and an opportunity to work across all areas of the estate.

About the role:

Sanctuary Schemes are multi-agency victim-centred initiatives that aim to enable households at risk of violence to remain safely in their own homes by installing a 'Sanctuary' in the home and through the provision of support to the household. As a Sanctuary Scheme Specialist, you will support the sanctuary service by carrying out comprehensive assessments of service users and their homes and helping providers to ensure safety improvements are made. Joining our fast-paced team and focusing on short-term activities, you will manage a caseload of survivors, ensuring they have access and encouraging their engagement. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for women experiencing domestic violence, carry out risk management, safety planning and support; and you will identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs.

Proven experience in referring safeguarding cases to Social Care and MARAC and the ability to proactively assess the needs and safety of children involved and women at risk and have experience in advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

With a focus on removing barriers and reducing stigma surrounding seeking support, our strategy empowers individuals, communities, and faith leaders.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team and lead the implementation of 'Your Voice Matters.' Collaborating closely with our Director of Support Services and fellow Betknowmore colleagues, you will oversee the delivery of workshops, facilitate focus groups, and participate in community engagement events. Supported by our partnership with The Faiths Forum for London, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships within the Black community to maximize the project's impact over the next two years.

This position is primarily home-based, with regular travel across Greater London as required. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary between £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities:

1. With support, develop and implement a strategic business development plan to market and sell NAPAC's training programmes to external clients, including organisations, agencies, and professionals in fields such as policing, mental health, social work, education and others.
2. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients and stakeholders to understand their training needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
3. Embrace and enthusiastically engage in the sales pipeline process, from lead generation to closing deals, demonstrating persistence and determination to achieve sales targets.

Skills and experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, psychology, social work or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
